She Crumbles Up a Ball Of Tin Foil And Puts It In The Laundry Machine. The Reason Is Brilliant!

Laundry. Because dirty clothes aren’t going to clean themselves. It’s an unavoidable and necessary part of life which makes it all the more painful. We all have to wash our sheets, towels, and clothing regularly to stay as fresh and clean as can be and it helps us get the most mileage and wear out of them.

Now you can get the most out of how you go about doing laundry with these tips from the WhatsUpMoms YouTube channel. They cover a bunch of laundry hacks that show you new simple ways to get the same old things done better and more efficiently. We listed some of the best tips below but be sure to check out the video for more and pass it along to anyone else who could use the information!

No time to iron a wrinkly shirt? Grab a spray bottle and fill it with clean water. Spray the shirt, stretch it out, and the wrinkles should go away.

Socks going missing in the wash? Take a mesh zippered laundry bag and clip it to the side of a hamper with a couple of clothes pins. Have everyone place their dirty socks in the bag, zipper it up when full, then toss it in with a load when you go to do laundry.

Ironing board always in the way leaning haphazardly up against stuff? Secure it in one safe spot off the ground by sticking two clothing hooks on the wall. Place them high and wide enough apart so that the board fits and hangs up against the wall. Now you won’t be constantly moving it out of the way or knocking it over!

Drying rack leaving an ugly, prominent wrinkle where clothing hangs over the bar? Take a foam pool noodle and cut it to fit the length of the bar. Slide it on to cover the metal and place clothing over it for crease-free results.

Need more hanging space? Install a cheap towel rack and instantly have more room for hanging clothes up to air dry. It will also come in handy as a spot to hang wet, dirty, stinky clothing that you need to wash soon. Always try to hang up damp or wet clothing as soon as possible, instead of tossing in the hamper with all the other dry clothes, to prevent it from forming mildew and becoming all rank.

Need to dry clothes in a hurry? Speed up the process by tossing a clean dry towel in with the wet clothes. Set the timer for 15 minutes and when it goes off remove the towel. It will have absorbed a lot of the moisture and thus lessen the overall amount of time needed to dry everything.

Out of dryer sheets? Grab some tinfoil and scrunch it up into a ball. Toss it in the dryer and clothes will come out static-cling free. The same ball of tinfoil can be used for up to 6 months so it can easily save you a lot of money. This is also great for people with sensitive skin issues because you won’t end up with all the chemical and perfume additives that are used in commercial dryer sheets on your clothes.

No One Believed Her When She Told Them About Her Dog’s Laundry Room Ritual. So She Caught THIS

Let’s be honest, some of the least exciting work that must be done around the house is chores, especially laundry.  Some people will do anything to avoid dealing with the inevitable build up of dirty clothes, even waiting until they’re down to the last clean pair of underwear.  In this day and age there are numerous available products designed to automatically clean various things.  Showers and bathtubs can be made spic and span after each use by disinfectant misted on via an automatic sensor.

Dirty floors can be vacuumed spotless with the help of robotic gadgets, like the Roomba.  And now, one ingenious dog owner has found a way to get laundry done with the least amount of effort possible.  Man’s best friend has been trained to assist with the task, taking it from menial to exciting!

Baron, a clever German Shepherd, was taught all the skills needed for loading clothes into a washing machine.  Footage shows him reaching into a basket and picking up articles of clothing with his teeth.  He the gets up on his hind legs and places his front paws on the washer to steady himself before dropping the clothing into the machine.  Baron happily repeats the process until the basket is empty and all the clothes are in.  All the while he wears a big puppy smile and seems to take pride in his work.

The intelligent dog has been professionally trained, at the Hill Country K9 school in California, to do a number of other tricks and chores.  Notably, he has also been delegated the task of loading the dishwasher.  After his owner rinses the dishes he grabs one from the sink with his teeth, transfers it to the washer, and expertly loads them all in.

Another job Baron excels at is being a personal trainer.  Videos show him performing lunges, step aerobics and even canine style push ups alongside his owner.  It seems like there is no limit to this dog’s abilities and it feels good seeing him so happy to be working.  Check out the video to witness his skills in action.  It may just inspire you to train your dog to help with the housework!

He Puts a Bunch of Aspirin In The Washing Machine With His Laundry. The Reason Is Brilliant.

Keeping white shirts crisp, clean, and white is a never ending battle. Everything from coffee and juice to grease, oil, and ink will leave a stain if it gets on your clothes. However, even if you avoid spilling all of these things on your white shirts, you still have to deal with ugly, yellow armpit stains.

Nothing else ruins a nice white shirt like how sweat stains do. They just look gross and unsightly, and they make you appear dirty, sloppy, even unhygienic. Pit stains are notoriously hard to remove and no amount of soaking in cold water or bleach will get them out. Bleach can actually make them worse!

Part of the reason why armpit stains are so stubborn is because they’re not actually caused by sweat alone. Instead, the stains result from aluminum, which is found in the deodorant or antiperspirant you use, reacting with your sweat and shirt. Both cotton shirts and sweat are proteins and when aluminum reacts to them it causes the nasty yellowing to occur. This reaction also bonds the sweat and deodorant to your shirt and makes the stains water-resistant (aluminum is what gives an antiperspirant its sweat blocking ability). That’s why armpit stains are so tough to remove, they’re essentially chemically set-in and repel water!

Rather than let a little problem like yellow armpits ruin your favorite clothes, try this wardrobe-saving laundry trick and get the most mileage and wear out of your whites. Take five 325mg aspirin tablets and crush them up. Fill a two gallon bucket or tub with hot water and dissolve the crushed aspirin in it. Place any white, sweat stained clothes in the solution and allow them to soak for a minimum of eight hours. Wash them in the machine as per usual and when they come out the stains will be gone.

If your don’t have a lot of time to soak clothes for hours you can place five aspirin tablets in the washing machine with a load of laundry. This won’t get stains out as well as soaking them will do, but they will be noticeably faded. To increase the sweat stain fighting power of aspirin even more, pre-treat stains by combining 5 crushed tablets with a ¼ cup of warm water. Smear the resulting paste on the stains and allow it to sit for several minutes before rinsing and washing the clothing as you regularly would.

Finally, if you need to spot treat smaller sweat stains or a single item, this small batch aspirin soak will do the job. It’s great for shirt collars and kids shirts. Crush up two 325mg aspirin tablets and dissolve them in a glass filled with hot water. Place the sweat stained portion of the shirt in the mixture and let it soak for 8 hours. Wash, rinse, and you’re done!

What makes aspirin so useful and effective at removing sweat stains is the main active ingredient it contains, salicylic acid. When tablets are dissolved this acid gets released and works by breaking up the proteins in sweat stains. It’s also gentle on clothing and won’t harm or damage garments by ruining the fabric. Try this laundry trick tonight or file it away because it will definitely come in handy down the line!
