She Slices A Paper Towel Roll In Half Then Submerges It In Vinegar. The Result Will Save You Money!

Keeping a clean kitchen can be a pain in the behind when you’re in the middle of cooking. It’s a necessary evil to have to wipe down and disinfect counter tops, cutting boards, and any other surfaces where you are prepping food. The last thing anyone wants is to get food poisoning or sick because of food coming into contact with germs and bacteria.

It’s a hassle to wash your hands, grab a bottle, get a paper towel, spray surfaces and wipe them clean. That’s why many people use convenient, quick, and easy Lysol disinfectant wipes. However, the problem with those is that they are expensive and contain lots of chemicals that you don’t want to ingest. A better alternative, that is more cost effective, is to make your own pre-soaked paper towel wipes with a non-toxic solution.

This easy project requires strong, high quality, name brand paper towel rolls. If they are cheap they will likely dissolve and turn mushy. You also need a resealable plastic storage container with a lid, water, liquid dish soap, rubbing alcohol, and vinegar.

Grab a roll of paper towels and carefully cut them with a sharp knife so that they will be able to fit into the container and check to see that they actually do fit. Mix 12 ounces of water with ¼ cup of rubbing alcohol, and 4 drops of dish soap.

Stir it well and then pour it over the paper towels in several stages. This will allow the liquid to soak the towels more evenly. Finally, remove the cardboard center from the roll, which is easier to do when it’s wet, and grab a wipe from the center of the roll.

The second homemade vinegar wipes covered in the video are for cleaning heavier used kitchen surfaces, specifically wood block cutting boards. This one can be made the same exact way as the ones covered above but with a different solution.

Instead, you want to mix together 1 cup of vinegar and 1 cup of water, then pour it over the paper towels. When you wipe down a surface the vinegar will kill any bacteria on it without leaving behind any harsh or toxic chemical residues. It’s the perfect way to keep your kitchen clean and germ free!

These DIY cleaning products will save you at least 75% on wipes that you’d otherwise have to buy at the store, and they work just as well as Lysol or other name-brand products. Try it today and see how much of a difference they make when you have them on hand nearby. Please share this and help make your family and friends lives easier as well.

She Places Cookie Dough In Her Waffle Iron. The End Result Is An Unexpected Surprise Dessert!

image via – youtube.com

Waffle makers are not just for making waffles. They are actually very versatile machines that can cook up a whole lot more than what they are named after. If you have one collecting dust in the kitchen drag it out and get some good use out of it once again.

Check out this video from Spoon University that shows delicious recipes anyone can easily whip up. In no time at all you can be enjoying tasty homemade treats, and even desserts, in just minutes.

The first recipe is for waffle pizza. Take some pizza dough and place it on the waffle iron, then brush olive oil on the top of it. Cook for 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and then add on sauce, cheese, or whatever toppings you’d like.

Next up is waffle cookies. Place a small lump of cookie dough on each of the waffle squares, cook for 3-5 minutes, and serve them with a cool glass of milk for the perfect snack. For a delicious waffle cinnabon break out some pre-made, store procured cinnamon roll dough and place one in each waffle section of the iron.

Shut the lid, cook for 3-5 minutes, and smear some frosting atop them while they’re still warm for a sticky, gooey treat. Perhaps waffle donuts sound more appealing to you. Take a regular old donut, place it on the iron, close it and cook for 2 minutes. The donut is now warm, crispy, and revamped.

Hate waiting an hour or more for brownies to bake? Whip up a batch from scratch or go the easy way and make the boxed type. Place a small scoop of batter in each section then close the lid and cook for 3-5 minutes. After they cool a bit remove them and sprinkle some powdered sugar on top.

Now you can enjoy a warm homemade brownie in just minutes! I made some of these and they turned out very moist and delicious. Best of all they can be made and cooked really fast. The waffle brownies were perfect for making ice-cream sandwiches with.

Just toss them in the freezer for a couple of hours, then scoop ice-cream onto one, mush another on top, and place back in the freezer. Check out the video and try this yourself!

A Simple Life Hack To Fold a Fitted Sheet Quickly and Easily.

If you are the kind of person who cares about taking good care of your bedding but could use some help, the video you are about to watch below is for you.  YouTuber Mary Elizabeth has done a full tutorial on bedding, which includes washing, making of the bed, storage and folding. The best part of this is the almost impossible feat of folding the dreaded fitted sheet! For years I have tried to fold fitted sheets and have failed over and over again.

I myself pride myself on being a good folder, but I have to admit I don’t have a foolproof technique on folding the fitted sheet, so that when you are ready to make the bed, there isn’t a lot of wrinkling.  While Mary Elizabeth has lots of great tips in this video, my favorite, which she does in slow motion with written directions is THE FOLDING OF THE FITTED SHEET.

I’m not going to write the entire 8 steps here, since with each step of the tutorial, she visually shows you what she is doing.  Let’s just say that it begins with holding the sheet length-wise inside the two corners, and then you bring your right hand to meet your left, folding the right corner over the left.

If I was to continue without you watching it, it’s going to sound too complicated…and it isn’t!  She has come up with a foolproof way of doing this, so that the sheet ends up laying flat for the final folding, instead of a big lump that usually happens to me.  No joke for years I have tried folding the fitted sheet and it jus ends up being a big wrinkled ball thrown in the closet!

It took me 2 times to get it right, and makes storage so much easier, and a sheet that isn’t crumpled.  Her other tips about linens are great for people who could use help with other things.  Enjoy this linen BOOT CAMP especially the fitted sheet life hack everybody could use!
