This Guy Wipes Steel Wool All Over THIS Windshield. The Final Result Is Awesome!

Anyone who has ever owned, maintained, or driven an automobile knows how the windshield can get cloudy looking over time. This film forms because of all the dirt, dust, pollutants, bugs, tar, and other road grime you drive through gets blasted onto the windshield.

Some of it sticks to the glass, especially bugs, and some of it bounces off. However, it’s the minuscule particles that you don’t see which add up and make the windshield look dirty, hazy, and hard to see out of. A regular car wash will not remove this type of dirt build up.

Instead you need to really scrub and work hard to clean it off. Or, you can try this easy and effective method to truly super clean your car windshield.

All that you need is rain-x, steel wool (*make sure you get the finest type available which is 4 ott), 2 old cotton t-shirts or rags, and an old pair of cotton socks. Start by taking a steel wool pad and rub it all over the glass. If you use the finest type it won’t scratch and it easily removes everything that may be stuck on the windshield including bugs, grime, and even water spots which are notoriously tough to get off.

Keep rubbing for as long as it takes to completely clean, paying attention to any little spots that may be tougher to get out. It may take you about 5-10 minutes to do this, but the cleaner the better and longer lasting it will be.

Next, grab an old sock and soak it with rain-x, don’t skimp on this part! Apply it in a circular overlapping motion to the glass, making sure to cover every single spot on it without getting any on the car paint. After it dries a little apply a second rain-x coat right on top of the first one, then let that completely dry.

Take one of the rags and completely soak it with water, then wring it out so that it’s still quite wet but not dripping. Wipe the glass with it to remove the rain-x film that’s on the windshield and you don’t need to press down hard or anything. Then take the second dry rag and wipe down the windshield again to completely dry it. That’s it, you’re done!

If you do this your windshield will be incredibly clean, clear, and smooth to the touch. When it rains the water will slide right off the windshield and you won’t need to use the wipers as much as you would have without this treatment. You may also do this to the rear windshield, side windows, and side view mirrors.

The man in the video suggests that you coat the wiper blades with rain-x as well to help make it last longer since it tends to wear off quicker on the windshield from the blades constantly going across it. He also suggested “Invisible Glass” cleaner be used on the inside of windows because it’s superior to regular glass cleaners and doesn’t leave streaks. Check out the video for more tips!

This Puzzle Has A Twist That Leaves Adults Stumped But Somehow 6 Year Old Kids Can Figure It Out!

image via: twitter.com

Puzzle solving isn’t just a fun way to pass time and test how much you know, it’s also a great way to keep your brain and mind sharp. The internet is full of various riddles, teasers, and problems that are meant to stump people and get them thinking really hard. One puzzle has emerged recently that is proving very difficult for adults to solve, yet young children are answering it correctly in just a few seconds.

The puzzle first appeared in Hong Kong on a first grade admissions test. The children answering it, who were around 6 years old, were given only 20 seconds to solve it. Try it now and see if you can come up with the right answer in that amount of time, I couldn’t! Don’t be too worried if you also flunked this test question, the majority of adults who try to solve it within the time limit fail.

To get the correct answer you have to flip the puzzle over and look at if from a different angle. All of a sudden the seemingly impossible to solve puzzle becomes clear and obvious. Kids solve this much faster than adults because they tend to automatically look at things from different angles, and the younger you are the quicker you can solve it.

Often adults make things more more complicated than they have to be. They have been taught to approach puzzles and problems with a critical eye and automatically look for patterns and sequences to jump out at them. When they don’t, they usually give up or assume that the problem is unsolvable for the average person.

Personally, I took away from this a ‘life lesson.’ If adults looked at things from different angles then perhaps more would make sense to us all. Try taking the puzzle solving method and apply it to daily life’s problems. Maybe they can be figured out by looking at the situation or issue from a different perspective and life can become more simple and easy. It’s just a thought, and it may be a tad over-analytic stemming from a first grade puzzle, but I’m looking at it from a new angle.

WATCH: This Guy Reveals A Gas Station Scam That May Have Already Cost You Money

When pulling up to the gas station to fill up on fuel no one looks forward to seeing the seemingly ever increasing high prices.  However, the absolute last thing that anyone wants to see is the fuel pump charging for gas when the nozzle is not yet even in the tank! That is what one man captured on video when he recently went to a Citgo station located outside of Wheeling, Illinois.  Even though Kaloyan Pechevski was not pumping, or even touching the nozzle, the readout on the machine was slowly charging him a few cents that certainly add up in the long run.

Pechevski said he had prepaid cash for $25 worth and noticed that he’d been charged before he even started to fill up.  To document the proof he pulled out his camera and recoded the incident and also gathered witnesses who were present.  When he went to get his money back the man working explained the false charging pump, saying “sometimes it gets loose.”  While we cannot be sure what he means by that statement, it does indicate that this is not the first time a pump at that Citgo station went rogue.

It is also not the first such incident to have been reported.  Others have recorded videos of gas pumps continuing to charge them after they had completed, or before they started, filling up.  While many times the pump charges a few cents, spread out over time and over customers, those cents add up to hundreds of dollars at just one single gas pump.  News coverage and people self-reporting on the internet have led to hundreds of gas stations being investigated.

Some were found to be purposefully scamming drivers while others truly did have malfunctioning pumps.  Either way, if you see this happening when you stop for gas tell the attendant, complain to the station’s corporate overseers, and call your state’s Department of Weights and Measures.  They are responsible for inspecting and regulating all fuel pumps.  Also, make sure to document the incident, print a receipt, and get any refund you may be owed.  Gas is costly enough and no one should be scammed into paying for more than they actually received.
