For some people, winning is everything.  This is especially true for many athletes who spend countless hours training and preparing for big races where there is a lot more at stake than just a medal or bragging rights.  Professional and college athletes count on winning races and matches for scholarships, endorsements, and big pay days that make all their hard work worth it.

Madeline Adams is a cross country athlete who happened to be one of Boston College’s top runners a few years back.  She trained hard every single day and spent every opportunity that she had working out and running so that she’d be in the best possible physical shape.

To prepare she would study each racecourse inside and out. She would make sure to eat healthy and get plenty of rest in the days leading up to the big race and triple checked all of her gear to ensure she had everything that she might need in order.

In 2017 Madeline was set to compete in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Women’s Cross Country Championship, and many people considered her a top favorite to win.  On the day of the race she felt great and was excited to be there among the best collegiate athlete runners in the country.

When the race began, she set the pace and was doing better than she ever expected.  In fact, she was setting a new personal record and was in first place most of the time.

When Madeline was just a couple hundred meters from the finish line, she suddenly started to feel tired.  Not just a little worn out, but incredibly fatigued to the point she could no longer support herself. On top of that, a sudden rush of nausea and dizziness overcame her, and then her legs simply gave out and she collapsed to the ground.

Lightheaded and weak, confusion took over and she kind of blacked out momentarily. As much as she tried to will herself to get up and finish the race, her body would not respond.

All around other runners passed by her headed towards the finish line.  Her first place finish was gone and she couldn’t even move, leaving her feeling hopeless.  Then all of a sudden, a runner from Clemson University, Evie Tate, stopped and reached down to try and help her get up.

Evie wrapped her arm around Madeline and attempted to lift her but was having trouble. When another runner, Louisville’s Rachel Pease, saw them she also stopped to help.  Working together, the girls lifted Madeline up and helped carry her towards the finish line.

Before they could even reach the finish, the medical team arrived to check Madeline out.  Evie and Rachel went on the cross the finish line and afterwards were able to meet up with Madeline to see how she was doing.  Madeline spoke warmly of the whole incident saying, “The great part that comes out of this is there are two amazing girls that helped me, who are completely selfless and just amazing people with amazing character.”

The sportsmanship and class that these girls displayed is above and beyond what anyone could have ever expected.  They put a fellow racer in need above winning, and yet came out the real winners in the end.

8 Year Old Boy Runs So Fast He Is Being Called The Fastest Kid On Earth! When This Race Starts I Got Chills!

Talent and athleticism come in many forms.  Some people are gifted at art and designing, others play baseball or soccer amazingly well, whereas others have an ear for music and instruments, the list goes on and on.  However, there can only be one person who is the absolute best at something. When it comes to running everyone knows that Usain Bolt is the fastest man in the world, both currently and in history.

However, all that is bound to change sooner or later.  While Bolt holds world records, those same records are made to be broken.  There is already a hugely talented up and coming runner who is eyeing the top spot and he’s just 7 years old!  His name is Rudolph ‘Blaze’ Ingram and he’s lighting fast on the track.

The Florida boy first caught the public’s attention when he ran a 100 meter race in 14.59 seconds back in August of 2018.  Fast forward a couple of months to February 2019 when he smashed his old time and ran the 100 meter in just 13.48 seconds, a new personal record!

In a sport measured by hundredths of a second, every single micro-second counts. For an athlete to shave even just two or 3/10ths of a second off their time is a huge accomplishment, so Blaze is already making strides.

Besides being the fastest kid around, there’s a lot more to like about Blaze.  He’s smart academically, getting A’s and B’s in school, and he’s mentally tough as well, posting positive affirmations while staying grounded.

They Strapped A Camera Onto THIS Stray Dog’s Collar. What It Caught Tore My Heart Up!

This is a heart wrenching video taped by a go pro camera that was strapped to a dog’s neck in Mumbai, India. It shows an abridged version of a day in the life of a stray in the populated city. The dog frantically wanders the streets in search of nourishment and shelter, but instead he encountered numerous assaults.

More than once people dump water on the dog, they hit and kick it, push it around, honk at it, and other dogs attack it. It even appears as though the dog was hit by a van at the end of the video. From a pet-loving standpoint, this video is terrifying.

We like to think of our canines as cute and cuddly, well-loved and taken care of, however, in the densely packed city of Mumbai, the vast quantity of dogs on the street are a nuisance. Thousands of people are bitten every year by the undomesticated animals.

The dogs get into trash, generally making a mess of things, so it is no wonder why people are driven to disregard and mistreat them. The good news is that there are people out there trying to help. Many organizations have been established for the sole purpose of saving the street dogs.

Although there are street-dwelling people who care for the free-range animals, and there is abundant food for them in the form of dead carcasses and human scraps, the dog’s lives are not what you would call comfortable, so the organizations are aiming to improve the situation. The dogs are being put up for adoption to get them the care they need.
