When it comes to cats and dogs, it seems like they either get along great or they can’t stand each other. You never know how they’re really going to act until you socialize and introduce them to other pets. When a cat and dog initially meet the general belief is that the earlier in life they do that, the better they will get along with one another. Sometimes the initial meeting between the pets goes smooth as silk while others…. well let’s just say don’t go just as exactly how you planned and pictured it working out..
Now before we jump right into today’s featured dog video let’s go over a short history of the relationship between humans and their canine counterparts:
Around 200,000 years ago humans began walking the earth. Since the inception of the human race, shelter, house, communities and eventually civilizations began cropping up all over planet earth. What’s more interesting is we didn’t build and evolve all on our own we had a few loyal friends who tagged along and helped us on our human journey through history.
Probably, the one species of animal the most intertwined with our own evolution is Canis Lupus Familiaris or what we call dogs! What makes this odd alliance even stranger is that modern day dogs evolved one of man’s initial biggest threats. This mammal species is known as Canis Lupus or what most of all call wolves.
Around 100,000 years ago our ancestors began populating the land mass of Eurasia. The wolf was one of the only creatures on the planet that could match us humans near the top of the food chain. How the two species interacted with their own kind was actually very similar..
The two species both hunted in groups or packs. The hunter and gatherers would work as one finely tuned machine, to seek, find and then catch their prey for survival. Wolves also hunted in hierarchal pack and would also work with coordinated strikes and precise accuracy as they sought out their prey.
Our ancestors and wolves were indeed very social creatures, and used these advanced social skills in order to take down animals much larger than themselves which in turn would leave them wasting less time hunting and more time consuming energy and nutrition.
Wolves thrived at the top of the food chains for thousands of years before modern day humans ever appeared however, now that these strange bipedal hominids were encroaching on their territory they had some very serious competition on their paws.
While the two species would clash head on for many years some wolves who were kicked out or ostracized from their pack noticed that if they weren’t aggressive towards a human community this could be a pretty easy way to get food and survive without having to face the world alone.
The strong and powerful wolves remained in their packs and refused to back down to the humans however, the weaker and more scavenger type of canines began to outlast and outlive their more dominant predecessors due to their new alliance with these strange 2 legged hominids.
As years passed, the traits of these less aggressive and scrap grabbing Canines we’re passed down through their DNA and they began living closer and closer to our ancestors. As we provided them leftover food they in turn would help us hunt and defend our lands and communities. It was a symbiotic relationship that was just the perfect match made in heaven.
Because both species preferred living in packs, it wasn’t too difficult for these docile wolves to integrate with the human population and eventually begin living in their homes. It is thought that these animals were the first domesticated animals ever.
These first wolf-dog hybrids showed up around 30,000 years ago. As time went on these wolf-dogs soon evolved into our modern day dogs. These evolutions and changes in look were drastic for some breeds and less so for others. Humans had successfully domesticated these canines for almost any purpose they needed them for..
Now that we have gone over the history of between humans and canines, let’s dive head first into today’s hilarious dog video of the day:
Other times, the first meeting can go horribly wrong and a close watch and lots of intervention is necessary before the two animals are comfortable enough to be together alone. Every animal is different and just like their human counterparts, some of them are more solitary and like being alone, while others prefer having company and are more social in nature.
The adorable black and white dog in this clip falls under the latter category, he would absolutely love and adore to have a fellow animal companion by his side. Well, at least that’s how his owner imagines his dog’s thoughts and feelings to be!

An adorable baby tabby cat would perhaps be the perfect addition to their lives, and so maybe it’s time they get one!

For both versions, all you will need are: a MASON JAR WITH A TIN LID, HAMMER, FORK, EMPTY CANDLE CONTAINER, SCREWDRIVER, BAKING SODA AND SOME ESSENTIAL OIL. The DIY is easy to follow, and gives you a great means to slow-release a pleasant scent into any room in your home.

It can even be used to straighten clothes if an iron isn’t available. The ugly spots and stains are caused by water that contains large amounts of minerals such as limestone, calcium, and magnesium.
These metals and minerals are naturally occurring, most often in areas with low water tables and mountainous regions, and water that contains them is perfectly safe to use and drink. The biggest downside to it is the crusty, whitish colored mineral deposits and stubborn stains it leaves behind. Over time these gradually build up on stuff, especially faucets and shower heads.
Many people struggle to remove these stains and often think that they need strong, harsh chemical cleaners to get rid of them effectively. However, there’s a better and more affordable way to go about cleaning a shower head with crusted on mineral build up. All you need is apple cider vinegar, a Ziploc bag, and a rubber band.
Simply pour some apple cider vinegar into the plastic bag and place it over and on the shower head. Use a rubber band to secure it in place and then leave it on overnight. Remove the baggy the following day, wipe the shower head clean, and it should be restored to its former glory!

In a spray bottle container mix together 2 parts isopropyl alcohol with 1 part water and then add in 1 tablespoon of liquid dish soap. Shake it up, spray it directly onto an icy windshield, and watch the ice literally melt away right before your very eyes!
This rubbing alcohol spray is the perfect thing to have on hand for freezing cold mornings and icy windshields. You can leave the bottle in your car and it won’t even freeze, unless it gets well under zero. That’s because the freezing point of isopropyl alcohol is -128.2 degrees Fahrenheit, so when you spray it on the ice, it doesn’t freeze up. Instead, it helps to melt the ice and keeps it from re-freezing. Since all you have to do is mist it on, it’s by far the quickest and easiest way to clear a windshield that’s coated with a thick layer of ice.

4) Stop Wipers From Freezing to a Car Windshield- Take an old pair of long cotton socks and slide them over each wiper, puling it down as far as it can go or reaches. This will prevent wipers from freezing and/or sticking to the windshield, and makes life all the more easier.
5) Organize Winter Gear- Hats, scarves, gloves, mittens, hand warmers, neck warmers and all other winter accessories can be neatly stored in one accessible place with a shoe organizer. Hang it over a door and never search for lost gloves again.
6) Windshield Treatment- This one is the best! A combination of vinegar and water works wonders at preventing frost and ice from building up on car windshields and windows. Mix the two liquids up in a spray bottle, spritz it on car windows, then wipe off with a soft cloth.
7) Boot Tray- Keep floors safe, clean, and dry by making your own boot tray. This one is much more appealing than commercially available ones and works even better. Fill a large metal cookie sheet with a layer of decorative rocks and put it near the door so that when people enter they can immediately place wet boots on the rocks. The water will drip through the rocks to the bottom and soon evaporate. Use coffee filters to dust your car dashboard. Unlike cloth towels and paper towels, coffee filters won’t leave behind lint or just push dust around. Instead they work great at picking up dust and you can toss a few in the glove compartment for whenever you might need one to freshen up the dash.
Get streak free windows by cleaning them with newspaper. It’s the cloths and paper towels that leave streaks when you clean your windows so don’t even bother using them. Instead, spray down the window with cleaner and wipe it off with a piece of newspaper as you normally would.

Dogs have many personality traits, behaviors, and all sorts of other little things in common with young kids. Different Dog Behaviors and What They Are Trying To Communicate To Their Humans:

However, because they’re unable to speak, they have to find other ways to communicate their love. Even dog lovers might be surprised by the hidden meanings behind the things that your dogs do on a regular basis.
Sleeping on their side – It seems that when dogs sleep on their sides, they’re actually trying to tell their owner how they feel about them. By doing this, dogs are telling you that they love and trust you.
Sleeping on their stomach – When dogs sleep on their stomachs, its often because they are shy or gentle dogs. When sleeping in this way, dogs are unable to sleep deeply and cannot reach REM sleep in this position.
Sleeping on their back – When a dog sleeps or lies on its back, it is often because they are hot and are trying to cool off. If the dog’s arms are crossed, it means they want to be left alone so he can sleep.
Staring – If a dog is staring at you, it simply means that he wants your attention and love. So go out and play already!
Staring with their tongue out – While staring certainly identifies a desire for attention in a dog, a tongue out also can show you what mood they are in. Usually, when a dog stares with his tongue out, it means that he is relaxed and generally content at that moment.
Intense eye contact – When a dog stares intensely at you, it actually means something different than a normal stare. This kind of scrutiny signifies that the dog is trying to read your expression as to better understand what you want from the animal.

Apparently the big baby thought that his mom was spending a little too much time petting her new cute new puppy and so he let her know exactly how unhappy and annoyed he was. The giant dog used his sheer size to his advantage and got right up in his owner’s face.
He reared up on his hind legs and placed his front paws on the woman’s shoulders, as if to say ‘look at me!’ All the while he just stares directly at her, his face just inches from hers, wearing the most pitiful expression. The poor dog clearly feels jealous of the fact that his mom is petting the new puppy and not him!
It’s crazy to see just how ginormous Great Danes really are. When this one stands on his back legs he’s much taller than his mom, who appears to be about average-size, and compared to the puppy he’s colossal!
Even though he’s so much bigger, he’s very gentle and his demeanor seems quite sweet and calm. He isn’t growling or barking or threatening the puppy, he just wants a little love sent his way! This clip just goes to show that big dogs need love too!

Dad Tells His Dog To Make His Meanest Face.

Every dog has talent and each one is gifted in their own special way. Some of them know all the major tricks in the book and can do things like sit, roll over, shake hands, play dead, bark, and more on command. Others are less inclined towards formal types of behaviors and instructions, their talents lie in other areas like playing, running, jumping, cuddling, or even breaking out of their kennels or the house and being amazing escape artists. The big handsome Rottweiler named Reese in this video happens to be a professional at pulling faces and play acting. He’s mastered the art of turning the charm on and off and can go from all innocent and sweet looking to mean and intimidating in the blink of an eye.
It’s unclear whether or not his owner spent any time actually teaching him this awesome skill, but either way he has it down solid and can bust it out on command in just a split-second! This pup can go from totally adorable to very imposing with almost no effort needed.
As you can see, Reese starts off looking like a total sweetheart. He’s just lounging on a comfortable cushion while enjoying a nice day outside with his owner. While he looks naturally strong and powerful, as most Rottweilers do, nothing about him appears vicious. Rather, it seems like there’s not a mean bone to be found in his whole body!
All of that changes when his dad tells him to “show me your mean face.” In an instant, Reese goes from calm and serene to seriously mean and fearsome looking. He curls back his upper lip and bares his razor sharp teeth to the gums.
Then he starts to growl in a low, rumbling tone that sounds as menacing as he looks. To top it all off, he even does that strange sort of licking thing that many dogs seem to do when they are super angry and about to attack. It really looks as if he has suddenly become possessed, and yet it’s all just him acting big and tough because he’s really a nice, even natured dog.
If you’re anything like me, you probably had to watch the video several times to convince yourself that Reese wasn’t actually angry or being provoked. He’s not and his acting skills are simply that good because towards the end of the clip he drops the whole mean face act, puts his head down, and is back to being all cute and adorable once again after his dad says “good boy.”
In the end, two things are for certain. Reese has what it takes to be a protective family dog and an effective guard dog. He has the attitude, obedience, and control that makes him loyal and loving, and yet fierce and intimidating looking if need be, all at once.

Human Tells Giant Great Dane He Can’t Go Swimming. He Responds With The Most Hysterical Hissy Fit.

Great Danes may look impressively large and imposing, but they’re really just big babies at heart! They are all around friendly, intelligent, sweet-tempered, social, and even natured animals that absolutely love to be pampered and pet. That’s the reason why they are often called the ‘Gentle Giants’ of the dog world! It’s a nickname they’ve earned and once you see how Max the Great Dane reacts to some disappointing news, you’ll understand why….
Max was all ready and set to go swimming in his beautiful backyard pool when his mom suddenly told him that he couldn’t go for a dip. Since he had been looking forward to a relaxing swim all day long, he did not take the sudden change of events lightly.
Rather than remain calm, Max immediately launched into a noisy temper tantrum and let his unhappy feelings be known to anyone in the vicinity. This big boy wants to swim and he wants everyone to know! The fact that Max is deaf never stops him from arguing with his owners.
He whined and protested the pool ban aggressively, answering and challenging his mom every step of the way. The way he talks back, you’d think he could hear every word she said! He’s like a 160 pound toddler who just needs to get his way! Max is one of my favorite dogs on the inter webs. I really would love to see him just jump in, but he is such a good boy!
The big gentle six year old boy certainly has it made and life is good for him. According to his Facebook bio page he lives in a beautiful house alongside his sister Katie, who also happens to be a Great Dane, his mom and dad, and several kitty cats. These metals and minerals are naturally occurring, most often in areas with low water tables and mountainous regions, and water that contains them is perfectly safe to use and drink. The biggest downside to it is the crusty, whitish colored mineral deposits and stubborn stains it leaves behind. Over time these gradually build up on stuff, especially faucets and shower heads.
Many people struggle to remove these stains and often think that they need strong, harsh chemical cleaners to get rid of them effectively. However, there’s a better and more affordable way to go about cleaning a shower head with crusted on mineral build up. All you need is apple cider vinegar, a Ziploc bag, and a rubber band.
Simply pour some apple cider vinegar into the plastic bag and place it over and on the shower head. Use a rubber band to secure it in place and then leave it on overnight. Remove the baggy the following day, wipe the shower head clean, and it should be restored to its former glory!

This rubbing alcohol spray is the perfect thing to have on hand for freezing cold mornings and icy windshields. You can leave the bottle in your car and it won’t even freeze, unless it gets well under zero. That’s because the freezing point of isopropyl alcohol is -128.2 degrees Fahrenheit, so when you spray it on the ice, it doesn’t freeze up. Instead, it helps to melt the ice and keeps it from re-freezing. Since all you have to do is mist it on, it’s by far the quickest and easiest way to clear a windshield that’s coated with a thick layer of ice.

This Pup Walks Past A Car Blasting Music.

I never love it when people feel the need to blast the music in their car so loudly, that it imposes on everyone else. However, in the case of the car playing a Latino song in the video you are about to watch below, I had to drop my judgement…it put a big smile on my face! This pup doesn’t seem to mind the music whatsoever. He shows all the onlookers just how good his fancy paw work is..
Sometimes when you hear the music you just have to let loose and let the rhythm carry you away. There is nothing more therapeutic than stopping everything you are doing, clearing your mind, forgetting about all your stress and anxiety and just dance like nobody is watching. Luckily for us people happened to be watching the dog in this video and caught it all on video!
The music had a ‘feel good’ beat and melody, made better by a dog who happened to be passing by…he was clearly feelin’ it. No judgement for this pup who is drawn to cross the street to get closer to the music. As he saunters over, you won’t believe his moves. He rides the beat like he was a classically trained dancer except he adds his own style and flare to his dance.
He bops up and down to the beat with such precision! Seriously, has he been taking dance lessons? I’ve never seen any video of an animal moving to a beat, that approaches anything like the skills, of this ‘beyond cool’ dog! It may actually motivate you to get up and dance along.

Sometimes this curiosity and innocence can get them into some pretty sticky situations that while funny can get them into a bit of trouble.
Children are taught to call 911 in case of emergencies from an early age. They learn that the best way to get immediate help in the face of danger or an urgent crisis is by dialing those three numbers. However, what a young child considers an emergency can often be at odds with what is an actual one requiring police or medical assistance. There are many stories of kids who call 911 for problems that fall well short of a life-threatening situation, you may even have one yourself.
While oftentimes they get scolded by the operator for mis-using the line, sometimes the person on the other end is understanding and happy to help them out. That was the case when a four year old boy named Johnny decided to call 911 for help with his math homework.
He was struggling with take aways, aka subtraction, and in his mind this was a homework emergency that could be solved by talking to the police! Realizing his innocence, instead of reprimanding him the dispatcher decided to talk to Johnny and walk him through some of his homework.
Their adorable conversation is suddenly interrupted when Johnny’s mother asks him who he is talking to. He innocently tells her the policeman is helping him with his math problems and that she told him “if I need help to call somebody.”
Naturally his mom is less than pleased with what’s going on and she can be heard in the background exclaiming “I didn’t mean the police.” That’s where the audio clip ends so while we can’t be sure as to what happened next, it’s safe to assume Johnny’s mom laid down the law and told him not to call the police ever again for math or any kind of homework help!

Remove stubborn old bumper stickers cleanly and completely with WD-40. Simply spray the sticker with WD-40 and let it sit for a while, the sticker will absorb it, then you can peel it right off.
Remove pet fur from carpets and seats with a spray bottle, water, and a squeegee. Spray the water on the seat and then move the squeegee over the area, it will gather and lift up the hair so you can easily pick it up.
Clean air vents with small foam brushes. They can easily fit in even the smallest vents and pick up all the dirt and dust inside them.
Use coffee filters to dust your car dashboard. Unlike cloth towels and paper towels, coffee filters won’t leave behind lint or just push dust around. Instead they work great at picking up dust and you can toss a few in the glove compartment for whenever you might need one to freshen up the dash.
Get streak free windows by cleaning them with newspaper. It’s the cloths and paper towels that leave streaks when you clean your windows so don’t even bother using them. Instead, spray down the window with cleaner and wipe it off with a piece of newspaper as you normally would.
Get rid of stubborn, lingering odors by sprinkling baking soda on car seats and carpets. Let it sit for a couple of hours before vacuuming it up. The baking soda should absorb the foul odors, leaving your car smelling fresh and clean.
