For as long as humans have walked this Earth they have been painting their faces. The reasons for doing so are as varied as the designs and colors people use to adorn themselves. Some did it to protect their skin from the sun, wind, insects, and predators while other cultures use body paints in parts of their rituals and ceremonies. These days most people paint their faces for fun and it usually involves a costume, party, or special occasion like Halloween.
Young children love getting cute, simple designs painted on their cheeks at fairs and birthday parties and we all know at least one adult who goes all out on October 31st. Even if you don’t have any reason to paint your face, who cares, you can do it anyways and unleash your inner artist!
For a bit of inspiration look no further than this incredible makeup tutorial from Promise Phan. She’s a popular YouTuber and makeup artist who regularly posts videos of all the different looks she recreates on herself. Her work is spot-on and she’s transformed into Angelina Jolie, Bruno Mars, Tinker Bell, even an Avatar, but this look is her trippiest one yet.
In this video she shows us how to re-create a look that can best be described as visually and mentally confusing! She draws three extra eyes on her face, one in the center and one on each side, and when she’s all done it turns out looking wildly insane. This look is seriously neat and interesting to look at, but not for too long because it might make you feel kind of dizzy! If you can re-create this come Halloween time, you’ll definitely stand out and turn heads.
While it certainly looks hard to recreate, it can be done. As long as you take your time and possess some basic drawing skills you should be able to pull it off. If not, ask an artistic friend to draw it on for you because it’s always easier to have someone else with a steady hand for this type of thing.
If you do decide to try it alone Promise recommends that you focus on making the eyes match your own as closely as you possibly can. The lips and noses are easier and more forgiving since they’re less exact and done by highlighting and shading.

I’m always looking for natural alternatives that are chemical free, to provide a nice fresh smell in my home. When I came upon this DIY video for creating a natural air freshener I was intrigued.
The video below is a great tutorial for how to easily, inexpensively and quickly make your own fresh and chemical-free deodorizer. Two alternative versions are demonstrated, which differ slightly in how they release the fragrance.

This rubbing alcohol spray is the perfect thing to have on hand for freezing cold mornings and icy windshields. You can leave the bottle in your car and it won’t even freeze, unless it gets well under zero. That’s because the freezing point of isopropyl alcohol is -128.2 degrees Fahrenheit, so when you spray it on the ice, it doesn’t freeze up. Instead, it helps to melt the ice and keeps it from re-freezing. Since all you have to do is mist it on, it’s by far the quickest and easiest way to clear a windshield that’s coated with a thick layer of ice.

A small West Highland Terrier named Joey has made an impressive accomplishment most dogs his size couldn’t dream of. He successfully got a full grown Rottweiler named Zara pregnant. Zara is more than several times Joey’s size furthering the strangeness of this little dogs achievement. The ambitious little dog is now the father to a rare litter of puppies. The incredible difference in the two dogs sizes makes litters of puppies like this almost impossible! So this litter of precious pups is so very special..
Officially, the puppies have been labeled “Wotties.” Teresa Patterson, the owner of the two canines, had no idea the dogs had even mated until the puppies were born. According to Teresa, the puppies take after their parents in terms of their great temperament. They’re very high maintenance and they love attention. Get ready for some cuteness overload.

Man Gets an Awesome Make-Over For His Girlfriend

If you have ever had a boyfriend or husband you know that for the most part they tend to be pretty messy, sometimes stinky and sometimes they decide not to cut their hair or shave their beard as their significant others watch in horror. Many men go through this stage, either growing the long hair or the beard but eventually the phase ends and they go back to their usual look.
With that being said, some guys never end this phase and end up living the remainder of their life with shaggy hair and a completely overgrown beard! Some guys can pull it off long term and others, well not so much. A lot of times the long hair and beard can be done if it’s properly groomed and cleaned up while still having the caveman look.
This brings us to today’s featured story about a man named Josh and his girlfriend Heidi. When they first met Alex already had long hair and a huge beard and Heidi really didn’t mind it at all and actually liked it. She was however pretty nervous about their first kiss, because his beard was long and she really didn’t know where Josh’s mouth was!
But as the time past she began to start despising the look that she had once fallen in love with. Heidi had been desperately pleading with him to cut it all off or at least clean it up so he could look somewhat presentable to her family, friends and even strangers. On top of not shaving or getting a haircut he really dressed sloppy and she wished she could get him to wear some nice clothes and look handsome.
He resisted his girlfriends suggestions for a very long time. She really thought she was going to be stuck with a very hairy man forever. No matter how many times she attempted to convince him to shave and cut his hair, getting the message through just wasn’t going to happen. She even got other family members to try and help put the pressure on but he continued to keep his classic grizzly look.
When all her pleas and desperation to get him to just get a real haircut, shave and get a new wardrobe had completely failed that’s when Heidi called up Oprah to get her boyfriend on one of her makeover shows! When they got to the show Josh they found out Josh was going to get a full makeover from head to toe by a whole team of experts.

I, myself, have stopped using those candles that I used to love, because of the inherent health hazard they carry. I’m always looking for natural alternatives that are chemical free, to provide a nice fresh smell in my home. When I came upon this DIY video for creating a natural air freshener I was intrigued.
The video below is a great tutorial for how to easily, inexpensively and quickly make your own fresh and chemical-free deodorizer. Two alternative versions are demonstrated, which differ slightly in how they release the fragrance.
For both versions, all you will need are: a MASON JAR WITH A TIN LID, HAMMER, FORK, EMPTY CANDLE CONTAINER, SCREWDRIVER, BAKING SODA AND SOME ESSENTIAL OIL. The DIY is easy to follow, and gives you a great means to slow-release a pleasant scent into any room in your home.

Too many fruit flies? Fill a glass with apple cider vinegar, cover it with plastic wrap, and poke a few holes. The flies enter, but cannot escape. It can even be used to straighten clothes if an iron isn’t available. These metals and minerals are naturally occurring, most often in areas with low water tables and mountainous regions, and water that contains them is perfectly safe to use and drink. The biggest downside to it is the crusty, whitish colored mineral deposits and stubborn stains it leaves behind. Over time these gradually build up on stuff, especially faucets and shower heads.
Many people struggle to remove these stains and often think that they need strong, harsh chemical cleaners to get rid of them effectively. However, there’s a better and more affordable way to go about cleaning a shower head with crusted on mineral build up. All you need is apple cider vinegar, a Ziploc bag, and a rubber band.
Simply pour some apple cider vinegar into the plastic bag and place it over and on the shower head. Use a rubber band to secure it in place and then leave it on overnight. Remove the baggy the following day, wipe the shower head clean, and it should be restored to its former glory!

Kid Was Walking By The Shore When He Felt Something Splash and Grab At His Leg.

Out of the millions of different animal species in this world, the young boy in this video ended up befriending a gentle creature whose identity you’d probably never guess! The amazing video shows the moment that he went to visit with his buddy and as you can see, it turns out that his special friend is none other than a giant manta ray!
The accompanying clip was captured off the coast of northwestern Africa on Spain’s Canary Islands. The beautiful subtropical archipelago happens to be a gathering place for marine life and it’s where many different types of stingray species can often be found. Groups of rays and schools of fish are a very common sight in the surrounding waters, which makes them very popular for diving, snorkeling, and sightseeing activities.
However, you don’t have to even enter the water to catch an up close and personal glimpse of the ocean life because one of the main spots that the large rays tend to frequent is near a set of stone steps that descend right into the ocean! The stairs happen to be the place where local fishermen toss back any unwanted fish and so the area has become known as a harbor hot spot. Many different types of sea organisms looking for an easy bite to eat stop by the place in hopes of finding a tasty treat to snack on. That makes it, in a sense, kind of like a fast food drive-through for fish, or a swim-through.
On this particular day the young boy in a white top and red shorts had gone to the steps to feed and play with his lovable manta ray friend. The huge fish swam right up to where the kid was standing and greeted him as affectionately as a giant manta ray possibly could! It hovered near the surface, very close to the boy, while he gently pet the top of its head and not once did it make any move that could be perceived as threatening or questionable…
In fact, the animal was very calm and looked to be accustomed to the kid, so much so that it even ate the food he generously offered right out of his hands. That’s quite impressive and shows a certain level of trust and familiarity that can only develop with time. At one moment in the clip the boy splashed the surface of the water and seconds later the ray came in super close.
The big fish ended up resting part of its cartilaginous body on the bottom step and flapped about, as if it was trying to move in even closer to the young boy. The whole scene looked just like how someone would call their dog over and who knows, perhaps this boy has taught his giant ray friend some cool pet tricks.
As unbelievable and odd as this pairing may initially seem to be, stingrays are actually quite friendly and curious creatures. They are intelligent and will only attack or sting when they are either defending themselves or something suddenly scares them, both of which are totally normal reactions by our human standards. And while stingrays come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes, the largest species of them all are called manta rays. They can grow to be over 20 feet wide and weigh close to three-thousand pounds!
Generally speaking, stingrays are rarely aggressive. Many species of them do have a poisonous stinger filled with venom that, as mentioned above, is only used in self-defense when the ray feels threatened. In terms of stingray attacks on humans, they most often occur when people inadvertently step on one in shallow water.
A helpful tip to avoid this ever happening to you is to walk with a shuffling step by sliding your feet through the sand whenever you’re wading in shallow ocean water where stingrays are known to live. This gives them a heads up to your presence and will likely scatter them away so that you don’t end up stepping on one!
Overall, fatal stingray attacks on humans are exceedingly rare. Typically a person will accidentally step on one, get a painful sting on their foot or lower leg, and make a full recover shortly thereafter. However, after the tragic and untimely death of wildlife expert Steve Irwin in 2006 the marine creatures were rocketed to the forefront of public discussion. Many people were shocked and saddened by his untimely passing and completely unaware of the risks that the seemingly gentle, harmless looking rays posed.
However, any reputation of them being perceived as especially dangerous after this incident is wholly undeserved and records back this up. In Australian waters sting-rays have only been attributed to three known deaths since 1938, including Steve Irwin, and all 3 victims were stabbed either directly in the heart or very close to it. To put it in perspective, it’s much more dangerous to encounter jellyfish, sharks, saltwater crocodiles, sea snakes, and other different types of poisonous fish in the ocean than a stingray.
When you watch the interaction in the video just think how cool and neat this would be if it happened to you. While most people would probably be, at the very least, slightly freaked out by such a giant fish swimming right up to them, this kid loves it and knows he is safe. In the end, nature always finds a way to surprise us and make us smile, and this young boy and his stingray friend will do just that!

In a spray bottle container mix together 2 parts isopropyl alcohol with 1 part water and then add in 1 tablespoon of liquid dish soap. Shake it up, spray it directly onto an icy windshield, and watch the ice literally melt away right before your very eyes!
This rubbing alcohol spray is the perfect thing to have on hand for freezing cold mornings and icy windshields. You can leave the bottle in your car and it won’t even freeze, unless it gets well under zero. That’s because the freezing point of isopropyl alcohol is -128.2 degrees Fahrenheit, so when you spray it on the ice, it doesn’t freeze up. Instead, it helps to melt the ice and keeps it from re-freezing. Since all you have to do is mist it on, it’s by far the quickest and easiest way to clear a windshield that’s coated with a thick layer of ice.

Mother Gives Birth To Twins

Any parent knows how emotional, stressful, and joyous the birth of their children can be. For Nicola and Todd Bailey of Sheffield, England, who were expecting twin girls, they were over moon excited about welcoming two new additions to their family. The couple already had a son, Lucas, and couldn’t wait to give him two little sisters. However, the twins came sooner than Nicola expected and at just thirty three weeks she was rushed to the hospital in labor. She ended up giving birth to the girls who she named Harper and Quinn, and immediately after doctors told the couple that the babies had been born healthy. Relieved, they set their focus on recovery and making plans for bringing them home.
When doctors suddenly returned to their room about a half an hour later, they looked serious and what they told the new parents didn’t immediately make sense. The doctor said to them “I’m so sorry” and went on to explain that the baby born first, Harper, had Down Syndrome.
Down Syndrome is a genetic condition caused by a chromosomal disorder which results in developmental issues, intellectual disability, and physical changes in appearance. It’s generally viewed in a negative light by both doctors and the public, which has led to people who have it being stigmatized and looked at differently. While it has become more accepted in the past few years as people are educated and learn more about it, it’s nonetheless still viewed as abnormal…
Regardless of the diagnosis, the Bailey’s were simply in love and grateful for their two newborn daughters. They also had more serious health issues to deal with. In addition to Down Syndrome, Harper was also born with two small holes in her heart. One thankfully closed all on its own, but the second one required surgery.
Once they were out of the woods and finally able to bring their twins home, Nicola and Todd thought back about how the doctors had broken the news to them in such a negative, apologetic way. It made them realize how people automatically felt bad about Harper’s condition, which they thought should not be the case.
Oftentimes, when people first met Harper they seemed to always say “I’m sorry” about her having Down Syndrome, but Nicola and Todd thought she was no different than their other two children and shouldn’t be defined by having it.
Wanting to change the perception of families with Down Syndrome children, Nicola decided to publicly share her life raising her babies. That way she could fight back against the misconceptions and false information people had towards it.
She set up a blog and social media accounts to help get her message out that having a Down Syndrome child is nothing to be ashamed of or viewed negatively. Instead, people should accept that others are sometimes born different and that’s okay. Harper is just as happy, loving, and unique as any other child and a Down Syndrome diagnosis is nothing anyone, especially doctors, should be apologizing about.

It is wonderful to have our homes smell good, and scented candles became very popular over the last decade. That is, until it was discovered that many of these candles and scented sprays contain really dangerous chemicals, that can cause permanent lung damage.
I, myself, have stopped using those candles that I used to love, because of the inherent health hazard they carry. I’m always looking for natural alternatives that are chemical free, to provide a nice fresh smell in my home. When I came upon this DIY video for creating a natural air freshener I was intrigued.
The video below is a great tutorial for how to easily, inexpensively and quickly make your own fresh and chemical-free deodorizer. Two alternative versions are demonstrated, which differ slightly in how they release the fragrance.
For both versions, all you will need are: a MASON JAR WITH A TIN LID, HAMMER, FORK, EMPTY CANDLE CONTAINER, SCREWDRIVER, BAKING SODA AND SOME ESSENTIAL OIL. The DIY is easy to follow, and gives you a great means to slow-release a pleasant scent into any room in your home.

Too many fruit flies? Fill a glass with apple cider vinegar, cover it with plastic wrap, and poke a few holes. The flies enter, but cannot escape. It can even be used to straighten clothes if an iron isn’t available. The biggest downside to it is the crusty, whitish colored mineral deposits and stubborn stains it leaves behind. Over time these gradually build up on stuff, especially faucets and shower heads.
Many people struggle to remove these stains and often think that they need strong, harsh chemical cleaners to get rid of them effectively. However, there’s a better and more affordable way to go about cleaning a shower head with crusted on mineral build up. All you need is apple cider vinegar, a Ziploc bag, and a rubber band.
Simply pour some apple cider vinegar into the plastic bag and place it over and on the shower head. Use a rubber band to secure it in place and then leave it on overnight. Remove the baggy the following day, wipe the shower head clean, and it should be restored to its former glory!
