I’ve Never Heard a Baby Sloth Before. When This One Started Making Noise I Spit My Drink Out!

There are a ton of adorable videos online that feature wide eyed sloths. The slow moving creatures are loved by lots of people the world over, and it’s easy to see why. They are always well behaved and very gentle, docile, and non-aggressive in their mannerisms and movements.

Sloths also make the cutest noises and if you haven’t hear what they sound like yet then you have to check out this video from YouTube channel Slothville TV. The video shows several sloths, including baby ones and grown up adults. They all make the cutest noises that seem to be quite appropriate and in line with their slowness.

It sounds almost like they are crying out in exasperation at how hard and annoying moving a few inches seems to feel like for them. The tiny newborn ones make a more squeaky, high pitched noise and it sounds like a cry that a baby animal would make.

As a point of comparison, the noises they produce are almost exactly like the sounds people make when they are not into something, or grunt halfheartedly, kind of like a “meeahh.” However, when it’s coming from a little crawling sloth’s mouth it’s 100x more cute and precious, by far. Sloths got their unflattering name due to the fact that they move so slowly.

However, they are built for this and are not the lazy, sluggish, lethargic mammals that we often view them as. Sloths only move when necessary because they need to conserve as much energy as possible due to their diet consisting of mainly leaves. Leaves provide little energy and are hard to digest.

Which is why sloths have specialized stomachs that slowly break down leaves and it often takes them a month or more to digest the contents of their stomachs completely. Other ways they conserve energy include low metabolic rates and low body temperatures, and of course, slow paced movements.

Enjoy the video below! This is guaranteed to make your day! 🙂

She Tries To Give This Adorable Sloth A Treat But He Wants THIS Unexpected Surprise From Her Instead!

There are quite a few videos online that feature easy going, wide eyed sloths. The adorable slow moving creatures are loved by many people the world over and it’s easy to see why. They’re always well behaved and very docile, gentle, and non-aggressive in their mannerisms and movements.

It’s in their nature to be sheepish but sometimes the furry little creatures just want to cuddle up close with a warm body and be loved, like the one in this clip.

The video was captured at the Sloth Sanctuary in Costa Rica, a special place that offers visitors a chance to get up close and personal with the sloths that live there. One of the visitors who had gone to see the residents and interact with them gingerly offered up a colorful Hibiscus flower to one of the sloths.

The flowers are a tasty treat that sloths love, but the one in the video was more interested in the lady than the yummy snack. The adorable animal slowly made her way over to the woman and paused to smell the pink flower, then kept going until she was in a spot where she could climb into the woman’s arms.

Ever so slowly the sloth extended her legs towards the delighted woman until she was in her arms hugging her! The friendly sloth definitely made the woman’s day, she couldn’t stop smiling, and it looks like everyone there was happy as could be!

The Sloth Sanctuary is devoted to rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing sick or injured sloths who call the country’s rain forests home. They also run a variety of research and education programs which aim to promote respect and understanding of the gentle animals.

Many people are misinformed about sloths and part of the reason why is the negative associations people assume about them based off their name. Sloths got their unflattering name due to the fact that they move so slowly.

However, they are built for this and are not the lazy, sluggish, lethargic mammals that many often view them as. Sloths only move when necessary because they need to conserve as much energy as possible due to their diet consisting of mainly leaves.

Other ways in which they conserve energy include low metabolic rates and low body temperatures, and of course, slow paced movements. Sloths are wonderful, fascinating creatures and one of nature’s sweetest animals.

Check out the video to see how kind and gentle they truly are, and fall in love with them.

Watch These 3 Awkward Sloth Bears Confront a Strange Pink Balloon and Attempt To Play With It.

What do you think happens when a couple of bears come across a mysterious, completely foreign object that they’ve never ever seen before? Do they ignore it and walk away or does curiosity get the best of them?

This hilarious video clip answers these questions and more as it offers us a unique look into bear behavior. When the three bears that you see here came across a bright pink balloon they definitely didn’t shy away from it out of a concern for their health and safety! Instead, one marched right up to the strange thing bobbing in the breeze and decided to have a closer look at it. Rather than start off his investigation on all fours, he chose to teeter totter over on his two hind legs. When bears walk upright like that it’s awesome because not only is it so unexpected, it’s also just cool to see.

The first lone bear was naturally a little apprehensive about the pink balloon. Who wouldn’t be if they were in his position, it must seem so alien-like from his perspective. However, when his two bear pals come over to join in it seems to raise his courage because that’s when he takes his first swipe at it. His clumsy paws cause the balloon to bobble around and float off a ways, with the curious bears hot on its string-tail! At one point or another they all take turns walking upright chasing after the balloon, sniffing it, and trying to pin it down in one spot. When one of them finally does, the inevitable happens!

The shaggy looking bears in this video are called sloth bears. The adorable animals feed mostly on insects, termites are their favorite snack, and live on the greater Indian subcontinent where they have become threatened by over-hunting and habitat loss. Many also end up captured and are forced to perform and entertain because of their easy to train nature and tame-ability. These three live at the Beekse Bergen Safari Park which is in Hilvarenbeek, Netherlands. They may be a long ways from home but at least they’re together and safe from the poachers, leopards, and tigers that hunt them as prey.
