Forest Ranger Accidentally Finds a Mysterious Hidden Cabin In The Forest But There Is An UNTHINKABLE Surprise Inside!

image via – youtube.com

When someone doesn’t wish to be seen or found, they often go to the most isolated, rural place they can find in the middle of the woods.  To survive for any extended amount of time there you would need to know a lot about the native flora and fauna, how to make shelter so that it can withstand the weather and climate, how to find food, make a fire, get clean drinking water, and the list goes on.

Most people don’t have this sort of knowledge about basic and essential survival skills and even those who do might not be able to rough it in the wild for more than a few days at a time.

With that in mind, clearly whoever set up this impressive squatter’s camp in the middle of a Northern California forest knew what they were doing.  They expertly constructed a house that was virtually undetectable from even just a few steps away until Mark Andre, the Environmental Services director in Arcata, California, stumbled across it on a walk in the woods one day.

He had been out marking trees that needed to be harvested in an area of the Arcata Community Forest he hadn’t visited in quite some time when up ahead he spotted something. When he moved in to investigate the strange sight it dawned on him that he’d found a very well camouflaged cabin in the middle of the woods!

Whoever had built the cabin picked the most remote, out of the way spot in the forest in hopes of not ever being found.  The illegal building had been made by someone who knew what they were doing, and it was the most elaborate find Mark had ever seen.

Measuring 8 by 12 feet and about 15 feet tall, it was up on concrete blocks and had features like a peaked roof, front porch with awning, plywood walls covered in tarps, and windows.  The entire outside blended naturally with the forest as it was covered in either brown tarps or branches and leaves.

Just the cabins presence alone was strange, but Mark and other investigators who looked at the house noticed a number of other quirks.  One was that there were no worn paths anywhere around the house. Whoever came and went from it had been careful to take a different way every time.

It was also very clean and orderly, something not common at illegal campsites which are often trashed and disgusting. The person who had made this had respect for nature and wasn’t out there doing even more illegal things.

After initially finding the cabin Mark did not go inside, instead he waited to do so when he was with an environmental services team investigating the illegal build site.  When he returned with the team, they had to break open a lock on the front door and after announcing their presence they entered the cabin. Inside it was neat and orderly with cans and jars of sealed food lined up on shelves and a tea kettle alongside a potbellied stove.

A bookshelf held an assortment of old VHS tapes and books, including “Catch Me if You Can” and “Medicinal Plants of the Pacific West.” They also found lists of things the cabin owner needed to do and get that was dated, as well as a copy of a Humboldt State University newspaper being used as kindling in the stove.  The dated objects gave them an idea of how long the person had been living there, which was at least from 2011-2015.

Before leaving the team posted an eviction notice on the front door with contact information, but no one ever called.  They returned about one month later to check on the site and found that the person was moving out. When they came back a couple of weeks after that, the entire area was cleaned up and nothing remained of the cabin.  The place was spotless save for one thing; the international symbol for squatter was written on the ground in charcoal.

Kid Spots a Weird Pattern Near The Lake. What They Pull Out Buried In Dirt Is UNTHINKABLE!

image via – youtube.com

This incredible story is years in the making, beginning in World War II and ending only recently. It came to light thanks to the keen observations and lasting memory of one young boy who was waking beside Lake Kurtna Matasjarv in Estonia in 1944 and noticed something strange in the mud beside the bank.  It appeared to be tracks that went into the water, but there were no other tracks anywhere that indicated anything had come out of the lake.

At the time World War II was raging in Europe and in Estonia the Russians had been fighting the Germans in the area.  The boy thought the deep, gouged out tracks could have only been made by one thing, a heavy armored tank. He watched the spot for months and after seeing air bubbles ripple up from the lake, he became convinced there was one submerged beneath the surface.

Years went by and while the boy always thought about what he had seen in the woods, he never mentioned it to anyone.  Finally one day he did tell people and soon word of his tale reached the ears of Mr. Igor Shedunov, a war history aficionado.  Mr. Shedunov was intrigued and put together a diving expedition to find out what was in the water. Upon reaching the spot he found that the lake was really just a small body of water in the middle of the woods, it was not large enough for recreational boating, and was more of a local fishing hole.

The dive team went in and when they emerged, they confirmed the boy’s theory, there was indeed a tank sunk in the lake!  Getting it out was going to be difficult as it was covered in seven meters, or about 23 feet, of peat. After two weeks of clearing silt and mud from around the tank steel cables were attached to it so that a massive bulldozer could slowly yank it out.

When it finally breached the water and emerged, officials were able to identify the tank as being a Soviet built T-34/76A tank and it had been so well preserved in its muddy grave that it was in near perfect condition after almost 56 years!  The Russian tank had likely been captured from the Soviets by the Germans during fierce fighting in the region. The tide had turned by September of 1944 however, when they started suffering setbacks and massive losses against the Russians. As the Germans retreated, they did not want the tank to be re-taken by the Soviets and so they sunk the 27 metric ton machine in the lake where it sat undetected for all those years.

The pristine condition it was found in was thanks to the low oxygen levels in the marshy bog area it had been in.  This helped preserve the metal while minimizing any corrosion. Everything was intact as if it had been sunk a year ago, even 116 shells were found inside and carefully removed.  In fact, it was in such good shape that after it’d been cleaned it started right up and ran properly, not one spare part was needed!

A spectacular piece of history was recovered thanks to the boy who had noticed the strange tracks near the lake all those years ago.  If he hadn’t spoken up about what saw, the tank would very likely still be sitting under 27 feet of muck.

Boy Was In The Water By Himself! Then THESE Creatures Approach and Creep Up Behind Him!

image via – youtube,.com

It has long been said that Earth’s final frontier is the vast oceans that cover a majority of the planet’s surface.  An estimated 95% of the oceans have yet to be explored and it seems that every time a deep sea probe is sent to the depths, new species are discovered.  From gigantic bus size whales to microscopic transparent shrimps and all the fish in-between, there’s a whole other world under the seas!

The ocean is certainly filled with creatures of every sort and size, but the one thing universally feared above all else is far and away sharks.  The stealthy apex predators are more than capable of inflicting great bodily harm or even death, and when you step into the ocean, you’re in their house.  Even though shark attacks on humans are rare, every year dozens of people get bit. For one little boy swimming in the Bahamas, he could have easily been among them.  However, a guardian angel of sorts stepped in and brought the boy to safety before any harm could come to him.

Artem Tkachenko had been flying his drone over a beach in the Bahamas on a sunny December day when he spotted the young boy swimming in shallow water below.  The idyllic scene was interrupted when a school of four sharks approached the child and appeared to be headed straight towards him. Seemingly unaware that he had company, Artem yelled to the boy telling him to run and get out of the water, which he quickly did.  Once the boy had both feet safely planted on the warm sandy shore, the sharks simply turned around and swam off.

If Artem had not warned the child, who knows what would have happened and it just goes to show how incredibly close encounters between sharks and swimmers often are.  Even when you’re in crystal clear shallow water, just feet from the shore, there could be a shark nearby that you fail to see. Being extremely agile and fast swimmers, they can easily close in on a person before they even have time to react.

Other people who have found themselves in similar situations to what the young boy was in have not been so lucky.  Thankfully, there are several ways to help prevent and limit your risk of ever getting bit by a shark. They include not swimming at prime feeding times, dusk and dawn, not wearing metallic jewelry that is believed to resemble fish scales, and to avoid going in the water if you have an open cut or wound.  For more information on shark attacks and what scientists believe may incite a shark to bite, please refer to the video. It’s always good to arm yourself with knowledge and the points that it covers are quite interesting.

It Seemed Like Just a Normal Car Ride Until The Radio Began Playing This Song

image via – facebook.com

Singing in the car is by far one of the best places to belt out a tune. The sound is contained, the acoustics aren’t that bad, and it helps to pass the time. The only thing better than singing your favorite song in the car is singing it alongside your best friend in the whole entire world in your car!

For one girl, that means taking her adorable dog named Honey along for a ride. The sweet black and white spotted pup seems to know what he’s in for because he doesn’t hesitate to jump right into the passenger seat. It’s as if he’s been waiting in eager anticipation for this moment to finally come.

As the pair cruise down the street the girl looks over and gives her dog a sweet smile because she knows what’s coming up next! Seconds later Michael Jackson’s hit song Will You Be There comes over the speakers and when Honey hears the opening chords her face lights up. The song, which was famously featured in the Free Willy movie soundtrack, is her absolute favorite and the dog goes wild whenever it’s played.

When you hear her sing, you may think she’s kind of off key at first, but she’s just warming up her vocals and getting started. After a few moments Honey begins to find her voice and before you know it she’s howling along in sweet, harmonic unison to the beat.

Her voice is one that only a mother could love, and that’s what makes it even more special. When you look over at Honey’s owner, it’s clear that she loves it when her dog sings. He’s by her side, happy, and just spending one on one time and being there with him makes her happy too!

Check it out, pass it along to all your animal lover friends and family, enjoy!

8 Year Old Boy Runs So Fast He Is Being Called The Fastest Kid On Earth! When This Race Starts I Got Chills!

image via – youtube.com

Talent and athleticism come in many forms.  Some people are gifted at art and designing, others play baseball or soccer amazingly well, whereas others have an ear for music and instruments, the list goes on and on.  However, there can only be one person who is the absolute best at something. When it comes to running everyone knows that Usain Bolt is the fastest man in the world, both currently and in history.

However, all that is bound to change sooner or later.  While Bolt holds world records, those same records are made to be broken.  There is already a hugely talented up and coming runner who is eyeing the top spot and he’s just 7 years old!  His name is Rudolph ‘Blaze’ Ingram and he’s lighting fast on the track.

The Florida boy first caught the public’s attention when he ran a 100 meter race in 14.59 seconds back in August of 2018.  Fast forward a couple of months to February 2019 when he smashed his old time and ran the 100 meter in just 13.48 seconds, a new personal record!

In a sport measured by hundredths of a second, every single micro-second counts. For an athlete to shave even just two or 3/10ths of a second off their time is a huge accomplishment, so Blaze is already making strides.

Besides being the fastest kid around, there’s a lot more to like about Blaze.  He’s smart academically, getting A’s and B’s in school, and he’s mentally tough as well, posting positive affirmations while staying grounded.

This Is The Super Strange and Unexpected Reason Mosquitoes Bite Some Humans A Lot More Than Others!

image via – shutterstock.com

Mosquitoes are nasty, highly irritating insects whose presence can easily ruin an otherwise perfect time. The way they buzz and swarm all around, waiting to land on someones warm skin to bite, is enough to drive anyone insane. The worst part about the pesky blood suckers is that they carry a number of diseases, which they can transmit straight into your body and bloodstream when they bite into you. Every year almost 700 million people worldwide end up contracting a mosquito borne illness, resulting in over a million deaths, and that number just keeps growing. This scary fact is what makes them the number one killer of humans.

Right now there there is currently an ongoing public health crisis surrounding the Zika Virus, which is being spread by mosquitoes and causing all sorts of health issues. It’s only the latest international health threat emerging that’s related directly to mosquito bites, and it’s in good company.

Throughout history there’s been many diseases spread mainly or exclusively by mosquitoes, including malaria, dengue, encephalitis, West Nile virus, and more. While it’s best to avoid the flying terrors all together, that’s basically impossible. People use all sorts of stuff to combat the pests but nothing is 100% effective against them, if they want to bite you, they will or die trying.

One way you can lessen the amount of bites is by knowing what attracts the skeeters in the first place. Basically, it depends on how you smell and since mosquitoes have excellent scent receptors in their antennae, they can easily smell any human within 100 feet. Unfortunately, it also comes down to genetics and 85% of the reason why mosquitoes prefer some people over others is because of their genetic makeup. Below are some of the factors that make someone a mosquito bite target:

1) Lactic acid production- People who produce more lactic acid, which is emitted from our bodies via the sweat glands, are more attractive to mosquitoes. The more perspiration and the older it is, the greater the buildup of lactic acid, meaning your a tasty meal. Research has proven that fresh sweat isn’t as attractive to a mosquito as day old sweat appears to be.

2) Bacteria- Bacteria living on the skin can vary greatly from person to person and affect how much they get bit by mosquitoes. If someone has bacteria types like Staphylococcus and Variovorax present on their skin, they will have more mosquito problems. The opposite is also true, and other types of bacteria act to make our skin less attractive to the pests. Some of these include Pseudomonas, Delftia, Leptotrichia, and Actinobacteria.

3) Blood type- What type of blood you have also factors into the risk of suffering more bites. Studies have found that mosquitoes are most drawn to those with type O blood, followed by type B and then type A. Also, if you’re among the estimated 85% of people who emit a certain chemical that gives away your blood type through the skin, the mosquitoes will bite you long before they bite those who lack the chemical. Apparently, the insects like to know exactly what type of blood they’ll be sucking.

4) Carbon Dioxide- Mosquitoes are attracted to the CO2 you exhale when breathing. Those who produce more of it get bit more, which sucks for pregnant women and heavy-set people who breathe heavier. Also, a related point is that beer drinkers tend to get bit more frequently because they too breathe more heavily when under the influence of a few beers.
