Repairman Discovers Something Terrifying In The Basement Of THIS Ice Cream Shop. He Immediately Calls The Police!

image via – youtube.com

When you visit an ice cream parlor, you’re likely in a great mood and simply looking forward to eating delicious, creamy, ice cold treats. People who step into the shops often have smiles on their faces and children love nothing more than getting a tasty cone or milkshake. While ice cream parlors are certainly happy, upbeat places, just like anywhere else, they can quickly become the opposite of that.

When one repairman was called to Schleckeria, an ice cream shop in Vienna, Austria, it seemed like a normal, run of the mill job. The pipes had burst in the basement and after inspecting the damage it was determined that they needed to be replaced. The 30 year old owner, Estibaliz Carranza, knew that the parlor needed major renovations as it hadn’t been updated since it was founded some 50 years earlier. She gave the repairmen the go-ahead and they went to work digging up the pipes in the basement floor.

Before the men had even started digging, they had noticed that there were uneven patches of concrete on the floor. It was odd enough for them to note, but not completely unheard of, so they forged ahead. When one of the men’s shovels hit something metallic in the ground, they knew something was wrong. They ended up digging up an old freezer and when they opened it, they found something horrifying; it was filled with two bodies.

The repairmen immediately called the police who launched a murder investigation which didn’t last long. The shop owner, Estibaliz, had fled to Italy where she was captured and sent back to Austria to face charges for the crime. Once in custody, she confessed to taking the lives of her ex-husband and ex-boyfriend, it was also discovered that she was 3 months pregnant.

The news dubbed her “Ice Lady” for how cold blooded and cold hearted the crimes were, and the freezer-ice cream parlor connection. When asked why she took the lives of the two men, Estibaliz claimed one was lazy and the other was cheating on her, but she also told of how she planned them out and it was clear that she was highly dangerous. She ended up being sentenced to life in a mental hospital where she remains to this day.

Farmer Working His Land Discovers a 3,000 Year Old Hidden Mysterious Secret Lurking In a Hole Beneath His Farm!

image via – youtube.com

Many cool and unique things have been discovered by people working the land and improving their homes. In the 1980s loggers down in Georgia found a mummified dog 28 feet up in a hollow tree, while a man in Italy discovered a Franciscan chapel and artworks from the Knights Templar while fixing a leaky bathroom toilet pipe! It just goes to show that every day, mundane, seemingly ordinary tasks can turn into amazing and historically significant finds in the blink of an eye.

When a Greek olive farmer in Rousses, a tiny village in south Crete, went to park his vehicle on a hot sunny afternoon, he was looking for a nice shady spot. He pulled up to one of his olive trees and parked beneath it when the ground suddenly began to sink. Realizing what was happening, he quickly moved from the area and after driving off he noticed that a four foot wide hole had opened up right where he’d left.

Thinking that maybe a sinkhole had opened, he went back to investigate the sudden void in the earth. When he peered over the edge into the hole, he realized that he had quite possibly stumbled upon something extraordinary.

Approximately eight feet down in the hole he could make out some old pieces of pottery and that was enough for him to call in the experts. Archeologists from the ministry of antiquity arrived and set to work examining the carved out limestone cavern the farmer found. They determined that it was a tomb consisting of three compartments that had been carved out some 3400 years ago. A vertical shaft provided the only access and being buried so deep in the ground, the tomb had remained undisturbed and un-looted since it was originally sealed off by stone.

Inside the tomb was pair of coffins, each with an adult male skeleton inside. There were also fourteen ritual amphorae, a drinking cup, and an amphora krater, a two handled pot with a narrow neck and wide body. All the pottery was of high quality, which meant that the two men were likely wealthy. Based on these ceramics, the tomb was dated to the Late Minoan IIIA-B period, which was from about 1400-1200 BC. The Minoans were a Bronze Age civilization who came before the ancient Greeks. They lived on the island of Crete and had an immense, lasting impact on Greek life in the areas of art, architecture, the military, mythology, and much more.

Finding the two men buried in the sealed underground tomb under the olive tree settled a long standing debate on whether or not Minoans had settled in that particular area of Crete, which had previously been doubted. Now there was clear and convincing evidence that showed they had indeed.

Guys Spot Strange Pipes In The Woods But They Didn’t Expect To Find THIS Hidden Door Leading Underground!

image via – youtube.com

When you go hiking, you never know what you might find. When two men in Germany were hiking in the fields, they made an incredible discovery! They first noticed a couple of pipes sticking up out of the ground. Looking around more, they discovered a hidden door covered in the underbrush. They decided to look inside.

Behind the door was a metal grate. The men were a little cautious to go past it. However, the lock had already been broken off and so they decided to continue down. Going down some stairs, the men entered a long concrete hallway resembling a hallway in a hospital. The hallway was completely empty except for two things: an old shopping bad and a metal pipe.

While there were many adjacent hallways to the one the men had entered, they decided to continue down the main one to avoid getting lost. The walls were mostly in good condition except for one that looked like it had been hit with a hammer.

In one of the offshoot hallways, they found a narrow hole in the floor filled with dirty water. Even further down the hallway was an intersection. The floor had been broken up into bricks and there was disturbing graffiti covering the walls. The men were clearly not the first to discover these catacombs.

Next, the men discovered a yellow door that had been taken off its hinges. This perplexed the men because the door was extremely heavy resembling a door used in a bank vault. On the door were Slavic letters that read “Exit #2.”

They went a little further and discovered another door that had been graffitied as well. The graffiti read, “Satan I Love You.” That was too much for the men and they headed back the way they had come. The reason for the tunnels’ presence remains unknown at this time.

Kid Spots a Weird Pattern Near The Lake. What They Pull Out Buried In Dirt Is UNTHINKABLE!

image via – youtube.com

This incredible story is years in the making, beginning in World War II and ending only recently. It came to light thanks to the keen observations and lasting memory of one young boy who was waking beside Lake Kurtna Matasjarv in Estonia in 1944 and noticed something strange in the mud beside the bank.  It appeared to be tracks that went into the water, but there were no other tracks anywhere that indicated anything had come out of the lake.

At the time World War II was raging in Europe and in Estonia the Russians had been fighting the Germans in the area.  The boy thought the deep, gouged out tracks could have only been made by one thing, a heavy armored tank. He watched the spot for months and after seeing air bubbles ripple up from the lake, he became convinced there was one submerged beneath the surface.

Years went by and while the boy always thought about what he had seen in the woods, he never mentioned it to anyone.  Finally one day he did tell people and soon word of his tale reached the ears of Mr. Igor Shedunov, a war history aficionado.  Mr. Shedunov was intrigued and put together a diving expedition to find out what was in the water. Upon reaching the spot he found that the lake was really just a small body of water in the middle of the woods, it was not large enough for recreational boating, and was more of a local fishing hole.

The dive team went in and when they emerged, they confirmed the boy’s theory, there was indeed a tank sunk in the lake!  Getting it out was going to be difficult as it was covered in seven meters, or about 23 feet, of peat. After two weeks of clearing silt and mud from around the tank steel cables were attached to it so that a massive bulldozer could slowly yank it out.

When it finally breached the water and emerged, officials were able to identify the tank as being a Soviet built T-34/76A tank and it had been so well preserved in its muddy grave that it was in near perfect condition after almost 56 years!  The Russian tank had likely been captured from the Soviets by the Germans during fierce fighting in the region. The tide had turned by September of 1944 however, when they started suffering setbacks and massive losses against the Russians. As the Germans retreated, they did not want the tank to be re-taken by the Soviets and so they sunk the 27 metric ton machine in the lake where it sat undetected for all those years.

The pristine condition it was found in was thanks to the low oxygen levels in the marshy bog area it had been in.  This helped preserve the metal while minimizing any corrosion. Everything was intact as if it had been sunk a year ago, even 116 shells were found inside and carefully removed.  In fact, it was in such good shape that after it’d been cleaned it started right up and ran properly, not one spare part was needed!

A spectacular piece of history was recovered thanks to the boy who had noticed the strange tracks near the lake all those years ago.  If he hadn’t spoken up about what saw, the tank would very likely still be sitting under 27 feet of muck.

A Giant Sinkhole Formed On His Property So He Went In Found THIS Unexpected Surprise!

Imagine for a moment that you owned a golf course. You spent eight years of your life and a small fortune designing it with the help of golfing legends like Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson, and Arnold Palmer. No expense was spared and people came from far and wide to play, business was thriving. Then about a year after opening a massive sinkhole suddenly opened up right in the middle of your golf course. It swallowed up the expertly landscaped green and effectively ground all golfing to a halt!

That scenario is reality for one man, Johnny Morris. While most everyone else would be panicking and freaking out in such a situation, Morris hasn’t really sweat it. That’s because he’s an avid cave explorer, outdoor enthusiast, the founding owner of Bass Pro Shops, oh and a multi-billionaire.

In May of last year a giant sinkhole appeared on his Top of The Rock Golf Course in Ridgedale, Missouri. All the experts and officials that he consulted with told the same thing, fill in the hole and get back to business.

It was all very sage advice but he heeded none of it. Instead he decided to dig the hole open even further and brought in a construction crew and heavy equipment. He had a theory that he wanted to explore and with money as no barrier to doing so, he went for it.

Back in 1993 he had discovered a large cave on the golf course property that is about a half of a mile away from where the sinkhole is located. When the sinkhole appeared it caused water from a pond on the course to drain into it.

That water was later found to be pouring out of the entrance to the cave he had found all those years ago. This led Morris to believe that there must be some sort of underground cave system linking the two, and that’s why he decided to dig even further.

His theory was recently strengthened when the construction crew came across limestone formations which would indicate the presence of a cave system below the course.

So far the sinkhole has been expanded to 200 feet wide and 100 feet deep. Check out the video from Bass Pro Shops to see the size and scope of the whole undertaking and to hear the most recent update from Mr. Morris himself!

They Found a Strange Tin In Their Yard. The Unexpected Surprise In It Would Change Their Life!

This is a story that most people only dream about, but for one Northern California couple it became a reality. It all started when the pair were out getting some fresh air and hiking with their dog on a well worn trail that crossed their property. They had gone down this exact path countless times before but this time something caught their attention.

There appeared to be an old, rusty piece of metal just barely peeking out from the earth. They decided to see what it was and once they started digging they unearthed a rotting tin can that was filled with something heavy. Upon prying it open they were met with an unbelievable sight, inside were solid gold coins in mint condition shining up at them!

The story doesn’t end there. The couple noticed there were more tins close by and those too were filled with gold coins. In total they dug up 8 cans that contained 1,427 gold coins, which amounts to one of the largest treasure hoards ever found in America. The coins were dated from 1847-1894 and the total face value of them (the denominations they were valued at the time) was around $28,000.

However, because the coins were buried in tins and out of circulation they were all found to be in pristine, unscratched, mint condition. Several of them were extremely rare and may have fetched up to a million dollars when they were auctioned off in May of 2014. Experts estimate that their net value would have fetched around $11 million, but the auction was private and the couple wish to continue to remain anonymous.

What a windfall and awesome way to become an automatic millionaire! The couple said in a statement that they plan on paying off some bills before donating most of the money to local charities. What a great way to spread some of their luck and share their newfound wealth!
