This Mom Was Sick Of Her Son Ignoring All Her Calls. Her Solution To The Problem Is Brilliant!

If you own a cell phone it is almost 100% likely that you are guilty of ignoring certain phone calls. Whether it is a friend, family member, employer, or an unknown number, we all screen our calls and actively ignore some of them. In this day and age of caller id and almost constant mobile connectivity, it is easy to look at the phone screen, see who is calling, and let the voice-mail pick up the call instead of answering it.

However, those who are trying to contact a person who is ignoring them often know what is going on and that they are likely being ignored. This has led to innumerable fights, hurt feelings, anger, and overall, frustration. Parents are especially irked when their kids ignore their phone calls. Mothers and fathers often call just to check in with their kids and to make sure they are safe. They want to be aware of who, where, and what their children are doing and if they plan on being home for dinner.

One mother who was fed up with trying to get a hold of her son, and constantly being ignored, decided to put an end to it. She devised an app, called “ignore no more,” which allows a parent to lock their kids smartphone until they call back and check in.

Once it ‘s installed and activated the app restricts the child’s access to nearly everything on the phone. They cannot play video games, go online, download, play music, use any other apps, or call anyone else except for those on a preset list and 911. Once they check in with mom or dad they can get the password that will then unlock their phones back to normal.

The high tech answer to a frustrating problem is relief for worried parents and an annoyance for their kids. However, the least kids can do to help ease their worried parent’s minds is to timely return their calls. After all, mom and/or dad are likely footing the bill for the expensive smartphones and got them in the first place to stay connected with their kids.

His 2 Sons Won’t Stop Texting At The Dinner Table. How He Finally Gets Their Attention Is BRILLIANT

Sitting down for a meal should be a social and interactive event for everyone gathered around the table.  Dinners are a time to catch up in our busy lives with family and friends and good conversation just seems to flow better over food and drinks.  For  years people have taken time in their lives, stopped what they were doing, and sat down to enjoy meals with others.

However, in recent times the dinner table dynamic has taken a drastic turn for the worse.  People now bring their phones to dinner, whip them out, and bury their heads in the devices.  They pay no attention to others and focus on the little glowing screen, oblivious to the world around them.  Texting at the table is rude and shows a lack of respect for your dining companions.  It’s that simple yet people still do it, like they’re addicts.

In this video, one father refuses to ignore his sons when they take out their phones at dinner.  He asks one to pass the salt and the boy, distracted and unaware, passes him pepper.  It’s now time for a lesson and dad thumps down his clunky old typewriter right on the table and starts smashing away at the keys.  The kids look up and stare at him like he’s gone mad and quickly begin to grow annoyed at the sight and sounds of their father’s behavior.

Finally, one asks what he is doing, and after getting no answer, the other son pipes up and repeats the question.  Which is when dad’s head comes up, with a crazy look in his eye, and he responds “sorry… must have been a little distracted!”  With that, the kids put their phones away and the lesson is finally driven home.

This sad scene plays out over and over again, of heads buried in phones across from non-distracted eaters who are forced to sit in silence and slowly become agitated.  Next time you are subjected to this rude behavior, say something, and don’t take your phone out at the table!

Man Drives His Car Inside The Garage But When He Steps Out Things Get Interesting!

People around the world have many different uses for their garages.  Some people use it as a place for storage, a nice hang out spot for friends, a workshop and usually just a place to leave ours and protect them from the elements.  A garage can increase the life of a car, it can also protect against grand theft auto.

Garages are limited by available space and a lot of the time they are just not big enough.  There is a company out there called Total Lifting Solutions who have invented a product that will change the way we use garages forever. This awesome new upgraded garage will hopefully be part of everyone’s house in the near future. This is some next level technology here!

A lot of garages are built for one car, but this company came up with a technology that makes it possible to fit two cars.  This is really amazing ingenuity.  It uses a hydraulic lifting platform that will revolutionize garages.  Watch and see how it works.  I want one! Would you use one of these at your house?

The Most Simple Way To Transfer Old VHS Tapes Onto Your Computer.

Things are changing at a rapid pace in the increasingly complex realm of technology. It wasn’t very long ago that it all seemed manageable, but a few years back that all changed as well. Now we have new models and editions of everything, from cell phones to computers to apps and beyond, that come out before we even get accustomed to the versions which are now considered old!

All of this advancement has caused a variety of products to be cast aside and left to gather dust. These include the turntables, old game consoles, and CD players of the past which used to seem so essential and cutting edge before they became all but obsolete. Perhaps the most well known casualty of the ongoing technology replacement cycle is VHS tapes and players.

In the mid 80s-early 90s they were all the rage and considered the latest and greatest must-have items. People collected thousands of movies on tape and made their own home videos, but then CD and DVD storage formatting came along and replaced VHS. A few years later, no one was using video tapes or VCRs, and as a result many people’s collections were forgotten.

If you have boxes of bulky old tapes getting zero use and taking up space in your house, then you may want to preserve the homemade videos and memories they contain. The ideal way to do this is to digitize and transfer the tapes onto a computer because you can save them in a newer, updated format that allows you to do number of things. Digital format gives you the ability to edit the content and share videos easily with other people, all without having to dig out the old VCR player!

In the accompanying video CNET senior editor Donald Bell demonstrates how to transfer old VHS tapes onto the computer. Just so it’s clear, this is exclusively for the purpose of archiving personal home video footage only. It’s illegal to duplicate anything that is protected by copyright, like films or TV shows, and they should never be digitally transferred unless you have the rights to do so.

First and foremost, you will need four items; 1) VCR player with audio/video outputs, 2) VHS tapes, 3) compatible adapter to connect the computer and VCR (differs for PCs and Macs), 4) computer with room on the hard drive. For an idea of how much hard drive space your VHS collection may require, an hour of video takes up around 750 megabytes of storage. You can always use an external hard drive if you don’t have enough space or prefer to save it for other uses.

1. Plug in the color coded ends of the adapter to the matching connections on the back of the VCR. Yellow connection = video, white = mono audio, red/white = stereo audio.

2. Install the included software that came with the adapter and follow the steps it guides you through. When you’re able to see and hear the video, it’s properly connected.

3. Name the file and start the transfer by pressing the record button and hit play on the VCR to record in real time. Real time recording means that you have to wait for the whole thing to play through and then press stop recording when you’re done.

4. At this point you can edit out any unwanted portions from the beginning or end of the video.
5. Lastly, your computer will show you the location of the file that you just created along with options to watch, upload, or edit the video further.

Now you can toss out all your bulky tapes or store them away for good. Even better, you can transfer the videos to other computers, make DVDs, and easily send copies to friends and family. Please pass this information along to others whose video collections could use a much needed upgrade and help them digitally preserve all the awesome memories and milestones they’ve captured on tape.
