Generally speaking, humans have 5 basic senses which include sight, sound, taste, touch, and smell. However, if we get more specific then we touch on the extraordinary senses that are lesser known. While there is no consensus as to how many there actually are among researchers and those who study this, they do all agree on one thing.
They agree that there are many other senses that we may possess and use every single day without even realizing. A few examples of these extraordinary senses include the following; thirst, hunger, pain, time (our startlingly accurate sense of it), synesthesia or perceiving sound as a color, pressure, itch, and thermoception which is the ability to sense heat and cold.

What Decade Do You Actually Belong In?

Each decade of American history can be summed up by its own characteristics. The events that happened and the way people lived and dressed contributed to the overall memory of the time period. Different fads came and went, language was used and forgot, and daily habits that were the norm formed what life was like back then and how we view the decade now.
Is your personality more in tune with one of the classic eras than modern times? The 1930s were mostly consumed by the Great Depression after the largest stock market crash in US history in 1929. The fall of Wall Street resulted in extensive unemployment and poverty which fostered thrifty people, who were forced to make do with what they had. With World War II taking up the first half of the 1940s, Americans experienced a boost in economy, and even community morale.
This lead to the rise of swing and artists like Frank Sinatra allowed reprieve from underlying tensions of the country. By the time the 1950s came around, the second world war had ended, but conflict in social systems brought about the Cold War and a widespread adverse opinion toward communism. In the 1960s people had enough of all the rivalry, so they rebelled with psychedelics and activism, preaching peace and love for all of human kind.
This attitude brought about the radical changes of the 1970s, such as increases in women’s rights as employees, multiple lunar landings and the achievement of in-vitro fertilization. The 1980s were, therefore, a time to celebrate. Bright colors, goofy pants, and extravagant dancing were due for the time of prosper. This expression continued into the 1990s as grunge, raves, hip hop and the internet paved the way to the new millennium.

Choose A Tree And See What It Reveals About You

Do you think that someone can tell you something about yourself just by which tree you choose out of a series of images? There is only one way to find out! At the beginning of this quiz, you might be skeptical, but I took it myself and found it to be scary accurate. How could they possibly know this much about me? I chose quickly, trying not to overthink it like I normally do.
I picked the one I was naturally most drawn to, without thinking about what that choice might mean in the results. Guess what! It turns out the quiz knows that I like to have fun, which is shocking because very few people know that about me. I keep my fun loving ways under wraps, trying instead to keep my mirth buried under a layer of possible displeasure. I like to leave open the possibility that I may not be pissed off, just for the comfort of those around me. If I just expressed my inner joy all the time, people would get really sick of me. They might feel worse about their own situation if they think mine is better, so I wear an average mood face. I’ve noticed that trees do the same thing sometimes. I can never tell for certain if the great oak that stands at the edge of the field by my house is in a good mood or not. I often think I am certain that I caught a smile, or heard a bit of a giggle, but then I’ll feel like the gentle being is scowling. Friendly tree, though, always willing to listen while shading me from the hot summer sun and offering great support. For my back, certainly, but also emotionally. What gentle creatures are the trees, exhaling oxygen for us to inhale, while we exhale carbon dioxide for them to inhale. Our breath is one, as we grow from the same earth, and in the end, return to the same earth.

Dad Tells His Bird It’s Time To Go In The Cage. He Proceeds To Throw The Most Hysterical Tantrum!

One of the loudest, most noisy animals in the whole entire world happens to be a Cockatoo. The vocal birds evolved their shrill sounding voices for survival related reasons as the distinct calls are what helps them to communicate with fellow Cockatoos in the wild.
Loud mouths aren’t the only thing the parrot species are known for, they’re also highly intelligent animals who love to talk. The ones that spend time around people often pick up human words and will repeat the ones they hear the most often. That’s not always a good thing because Cockatoos are also screamers, when they talk it’s like they’re yelling. If they pick up a naughty word, like a curse, expect to hear it often!
The outspoken bird in this clip named Pebbles is a case in point. Be forewarned, she curses like a sailor and has a lot of impolite things to say. According to her caretakers at the Saskatoon Parrot Rescue up in Canada, before they took her in she had lived in approximately 10 homes over the last 20 years or so. Somewhere along the way she learned how to swear and the rest as they say, is history.
Pebbles had been enjoying the day outside of her cage and clearly didn’t want it to end. When she was asked to get back inside of it, she threw a temper tantrum and had a major freak out! The beautiful white feathered girl acted like a diva as she flapped around and stomped back and forth on top of her cage. She noisily protests everything from her cage to the veterinarian and more.
However, not everything she has to say is so negative and foul mouthed. At one point in the video she can be heard saying something that sounds like “I just like rock and roll” and the video comments seem to confirm this. Check out her wild and crazy rant and see what you can decipher from it!
Pebbles would get along quite well with another famous angry bird, Eric the Legend. He’s a bad boy who also does lots of naughty things, like curse at all the other birds in his neighborhood and the poor family dog. They both have some of the biggest attitudes around and love to yell out swears like they just don’t give a hoot!

A man is also more likely to leave a successful woman when he’s less successful because it makes him feel like a failure or unworthy of her love.

Many women try to mold a man into what they see as their ideal partner. Constantly trying to change someone shows that you’re focused on what you see as their shortcomings and that you feel they’re not enough as they are. We all have our flaws, but when a woman tries to fix a man, he will likely end up despising her for it. This Woman’s Tiny House Is Only 140 Square Feet But Wait Till You See The Inside!
The tiny house movement and lifestyle that embraces simple living in small spaces has grown immensely in recent years. People from all walks of life the world over are trading in their big open homes for much more modest ones. Many are attracted to the low cost of constructing, maintaining and living in these homes.
Others prefer the freedom they can often provide by being mobile or easily moved. In some places they have even become a popular option for housing the homeless. With such versatile and ever expanding uses its easy to see why tiny house living has become so popular.
A video uploaded by YouTube channel HouzzTV gives an inside look at one woman’s beautiful 140 square foot house for all those curious as to how these houses can look and what they fit. The tiny residence is located on a 1 acre lot in Ojai, California where owner Vina Lustado chose to permanently settle down.
The house was constructed on a trailer with wheels so that it’s classified as temporary housing in order to comply with state law that requires permanent living units be at least 600-700 sq. feet. All of the electricity is supplied by four batteries which are fed by three solar panels and a 7 gallon propane tank fuels a fireplace, stove, and hot water heater.
Inside, the space holds a built in desk, sofa, and loft. There are lots of neat floor to ceiling storage solutions that allow much more to fit than you would expect. Sturdy butcher block kitchen counter tops double as work space and a small refrigerator sits under them.
A skylight in the sleeping loft lets in natural light and can also act as a fire escape in case of emergencies. A large porch seems to double and expand the inside space outwards and can fit up to 10 people comfortably.
The scaled down house is eye opening as to how little a person actually needs to be comfortable and happy. Vina has fit everything in such a neat and organized fashion that she even has room for guests to sleep over in a lofted area above the desk.
Her micro home sits among a scenic forest, surrounded by beautiful trees and nature. The lifestyle fits exactly what the relaxed and content owner was after, as she says “It’s my house. If I move, it will move with me.” Would you like to live in a home like this?
