She Uncovers An Ancient Relic On Her Lawn. But She Picks It Up and Realizes It’s Moving!

You never know what you might find when you go digging for buried treasure. Some people have made some truly amazing discoveries over the years and even struck it rich unearthing priceless artifacts. There are many areas known for possibly having buried treasure and hidden relics, and one such place is a town called Bishop’s Stortford in Hertfordshire, England. It was once a Roman settlement and was the location of a historic market, as well as being an evacuation center for British people over the years.
One of the town’s residents, Lynne Garner, owned a sizeable piece of property and from time to time she and her husband would look around for buried treasure. One day they had been digging near a rockpile in the back garden when she spotted something unique looking among the stones. It was a dark brown lump and upon closer inspection they realized it was a tiny little hedgehog!
Hedgehogs are common in the area, but the one they found was not normal looking, which is what threw them off at first. Instead of having a body covered in spines, he was mostly bald and exposed. They rushed him to the local vet, A120 Veterinary Surgery, where doctors diagnosed him as having alopecia. They explained that it had likely been brought on by trauma the poor little guy had suffered in childhood and that a normal hedgehog would usually have around 5,000 spines. The stress from whatever he’d been through caused him to lose his spines and that left him extremely vulnerable to predators and the elements.
Now that Lynne knew what the little animal’s problem was, she set out to help him heal. Thankfully she is a seasoned wildlife rehabilitator, so she brought him back to her center and named him Derek. Other than his spine issue, Derek also had an infected wound on his back from a suspected bird attack. After she treated the wound Lynne needed to find him a temporary home where he could relax, roam freely, and stay warm. It also needed to be escape-proof and a woman named Monique had the perfect spot, her heated and enclosed greenhouse. That would be Derek’s home for the next couple of months or until he’d recovered enough to make it on his own outside.
Besides special living accommodations, Derek also received oil treatments and probiotics to boost his health. Soon his spines had started to grow back and he was much more active and happier. In fact, he managed to re-grow almost all his spines instead of just some as is common in most cases of alopecia! In the end, his swift recovery was nothing short of a miracle and while he may not ever be an outdoor hedgehog, he’ll always have a home with Lynne.

Kelly explained to her that when Tristan had died, he had donated his heart to this man who wouldn’t have survived without it. Jacob introduced himself to Becky and gave her a stethoscope. With her newlywed, Becky listened to her son’s heartbeat for the first time since he had died. She was incredibly moved and truly felt that her son was there with her at the wedding. Years ago, she had saved Jacob’s life and in return, he gave her a small part of her son back to her.

Police officers see a lot of things that most people could never even imagine. They get called out to all sorts of emergencies and accidents which means they are often dealing with people who are going through perhaps the worst day of their life. That’s why cops often quickly develop tough exteriors and no nonsense attitudes. They need to be able to stay calm and in control when emotions are running high and people are stressed to the max.
As tough as police officers may be, they are still human, and many join the force because they want to protect and serve by helping others. Such was the case for Leonardo Almeida, ever since he could remember it had been a dream of his to be a cop and after graduating from the police academy it finally came true.
Officer Almeida had been hired by the Taunton Police Department, which is located just outside of Boston, and was assigned the night shift alongside his partner Lieutenant Roderick. It was usually pretty quiet and calm at night and they had been out on routine patrol when they spotted a car parked on the side of the road. Thinking it was likely abandoned, they pulled over to investigate.
Upon approaching the vehicle, the officers saw that there were two adults sleeping in the front seats. They went up to the front passenger side and shone their flashlights in, and that’s when they spotted two young children sleeping in the back seat. It was a heartbreaking sight; the family was obviously homeless and had no option but to sleep in their car on a night that was freezing cold.
The officers woke the family and learned that the young couple had recently lost their house. With nowhere to go, they’d started sleeping in the car and were just trying to get by. After speaking with them, Officer Almeida decided he was going to get the family a warm place to stay, he couldn’t just walk away and leave them in the freezing cold vehicle. After calling several local hotels he found them a room and paid $190 for a two night stay out of his own pocket.
All the while Lieutenant Roderick was looking on. It was part of his job to train, evaluate, and oversee the department’s new hire and when he saw how the rookie handled the situation, he was more than impressed. He knew right then and there that Almeida would be a good cop who would go on to help a lot of people.
The two officers escorted the grateful family to the hotel and then finished off the rest of their shift that night. Before Lieutenant Roderick went to bed, he created a quick post detailing the generous actions of Officer Almeida and what he had done. The heartwarming story quickly went viral and people all over were happy to see how kind and thoughtful he had been towards those who needed it the most.

The constant worry about your child’s safety becomes an everyday struggle that almost all parents face 24/7 365! With all that being said it brings us to today’s story which features a baby Houdini who somehow keeps disappearing from her crib every night!
For a newborn baby infant to a toddler a safe and secure crib is one of the biggest necessities in any household. Not only does the crib provide the ultimate security for the new baby but it also give new parents peace of mind so they can at least get a little bit of rest and sleep at night. Mother Nina and Father Chris of Phoenix, Arizona are two new responsible parents, who have gone through every step to make sure their baby daughter Chloe is safe at all times. For the first 14 months they faced the same challenges most parents do, with having to wake up in the middle of the night to take care of the baby when needed.
Like most parents out there, they were completely exhausted from only getting a few hours of sleep every night, but that was to be expected and they knew it was all par for the course. However when baby Chloe turned 15 months things began to take a very strange turn no one ever could’ve predicted. One morning mom woke up early to prepare breakfast and get some coffee brewing when she thought she heard a strange sound coming from the family room.
She walked into the room half asleep and thought she was hallucinating! She saw baby Chloe on the floor playing with her toys! She was stunned because her husband was still sleeping and she knew that she didn’t pick up baby Chloe from the crib and bring her into the family room. A sense of panic, dread and fear quickly came over mom as she couldn’t understand how this could even be possible…
Nina picked up her baby ran into the bedroom and woke up her husband Chris and told him what happened. He was just as startled as she was, so they went into her room and began to inspect the room to see if anything was out of place, if she could possibly of fallen out of her crib or somehow escaped… Nothing seemed weird or strange and the bed was completely undisturbed. The mystery of how baby Chloe ended up in the family room playing with her toys was only just beginning.
Not only did it seem impossible that she could get over the crib railing, but she wasn’t possibly tall enough to open her door and exit the room! What in the heck was possibly going on here?! They had more questions and literally no answers! They racked their brains and thought maybe they just didn’t close the door all the way and by some fluke she somehow got over the crib railing and headed for her toys. They decided not to make too big a deal out of it and went on with their day as per usual. They figured it was probably only going to happen once and they would make sure everything was secure every night from here on out.
The next night they turned the volume all the way up on the baby monitor just in case anything were to happen again. They secured baby Chloe in bed and made sure nothing was out of place. Within hours after putting their child to bed they heard strange sounds coming from the baby monitor at around midnight. They jumped out of bed ran to her room and to their surprise Chloe was out and about again this time in the hallway running around looking like she was having the best night of her life!
The parents were now starting to freak out, they sat baby Chloe down and straight up asked her how she was escaping her crib and getting out the door. Instead of answering, baby Chloe just giggled, laughed and wouldn’t give them a straight answer! Now this began happening every night and her parents began to go crazy trying to figure out how this was happening and more importantly they were truly worried about Chloe’s safety. The worried parents couldn’t sleep at night anymore because they were so scared during one of Chloe’s escape excursions something tragic was going to happen to her.
They decided to pick up a hidden security baby camera so they could finally get to the bottom of this strange baby Houdini disappearing act that was haunting their world. They went out purchased the camera set it up in the room and then waited to see if the mystery would be revealed! That night again they were woken up by the sound of the baby monitor and Chloe running around have a grand old time. This time though they were prepared as they grabbed the camera and reviewed the footage….

Garbage Men are some of the hardest working people on earth. Everyday they get up at the crack of dawn, get on their route and do the job most of us would never want and dread. They pick up all that stinky, gross trash that us humans leave behind and usually don’t think twice about it after we throw it away.
They work in the rain or shine and just as quick as the garbage piles up these hard workers are there to pick it up and get rid of it. We should all just take a moment to truly think abou the work they do and maybe next time you see one going through your neighborhood let them know how much you appreciate the work they are doing for the community. With all that being said this brings us to today’s heartwarming and beautiful story.
A man named Joshua Byrne decided to give a homeless fur baby a forever home. He heard that there was a local kill shelter nearby and he thought the best way to go about rescuing a pup would be from a kill shelter. Josh would not only be adopting an amazing new family member but he would also be saving him from certain death. One afternoon he headed off to the kill shelter, found an adult Golden Retriever and immediately when they made eye contact he knew this pup was the one.
He filled out all the paperwork, told the dog to get ready for his new life and headed home to introduce the rescued animal to the rest of the family. When he got home the family decided to name the dog Shelby and the sweet pup immediately became one of the pack. The dog had a wonderful personality, he was great with the kids and everybody in the family loved him. Little did they know, they weren’t the only ones forming a special bond with Shelby….
The family lived in the burbs and like many households, the garbage gets picked up 2x per week. Before the Golden Retriever became part of Josh’s family, the garbage got picked up every week, no questions asked smooth as clockwork on time just as it should be. However about a month after the golden retriever was adopted Josh and his family began to pick up on something a bit out of the ordinary. Joshua decided to set up a hidden camera to see just what was going on between Shelby and the garbage man.
He went out got a security camera, set it up aimed at the trash and then he waited for trash pick up day. Just as the family suspected a strange relationship was brewing between the garbage man and the sweet pup. The hidden camera caught everything and as soon as enough footage was captured Josh uploaded to social media and the video immediately went mega viral, seen by millions all around the world!

Getting rid of lice used to be a lot more straightforward. When your kid came home with a note about a lice outbreak in the class, you simply combed through their hair to check for the bugs and eggs. If there were some, you bought the special shampoo and took care of the infestation.
Even going through and washing any infected clothing and bedding wasn’t entirely unmanageable. It was a pain in the butt, but once you took care of it, it was done. That may no longer be the case.
Like all living things, lice have been evolving. Specifically, some lice have developed a resistance to the drugs we’re used to using. One such example is RID, the commonly used over the counter shampoo used to snuff out lice infestations. There are now strains of Super lice that can survive such medications.
The phrase “Super lice” refers to strains of lice that are resistant to pyrethroids. Pyrethroids are the chemical agents most commonly used to treat head lice. Over the course of hundreds of years, head lice have learned to cope and even survive when put into contact with this chemical. This is bad news for parents of children with lice.
Many methods used to eliminate head lice are no longer useful against these evolved strains. Popular all-natural treatments like tetri oil and peppermint oil are not effective for treating super lice. However, all hope is not lost. There is research being done around the clock to develop new treatments. Additionally, dousing one’s head in coconut oil still helps to suffocate the bugs before combing out the eggs.
