WATCH: It Looks Like A Normal Sculpture But When It Starts Moving It Blew Me Away!

Anthony Howe is an accomplished artist who works with steel to create hypnotically beautiful 3D kinetic sculptures. He makes them at his Orcas Island, Washington workshop by hand and with the aid of a computer. His inspiration is born out of a desire to find elegance in things that are awkward and ugly. Anthony explains that the awkwardness of objects, such as things that bang against each other or seem physically impossible, are what draws him in and gives him ideas. He strives to make them work more beautifully and streamlines his eventual art into undulating pieces that move and flow in ways that seem to defy logic. His sculptures resemble optical illusions, as they twist and turn in on themselves then fold back out into space, and are mesmerizing to watch.

Anthony began his artistic journey after he moved to New York to become a painter. Instead, he ended up working as a superintendent at a warehouse in Manhattan and noticed all the surrounding steel. He decided to make sculptures out of the metal and explains that he was “bored with everything being static in my visual world, I wanted to see stuff move.” With that concept in mind he set to work creating visually spectacular sculptures that move easily in a breeze, as if they are dancing in the wind.

While the sculptures may look as if they were completely hand made, Anthony does use a computer to design them. He conceptualizes his basic idea on a computer program which allows him to see how a piece will later move in a 3D type visual space. Starting with a specific individual design he forms a foundation for the piece, then multiples and adds that element over and over again into patterns, that eventually make up the complete sculpture. Some of his works appear to always be in motion, even when they are not, because Anthony adds mirrors that reflect and refract light at all times. He clearly loves his craft and excels at making visual works of art. His desire to find elegance in the awkward can be seen as he continues to be inspired by movement, angles and nature.

In Case Of An Emergency This Is The Easiest Way To Break A Car Window. The Result Could Save Lives!

Car windows are made to be as safe and strong as possible and can resist a great amount of force before they break. Safety standards call for automobile windows to be made from laminated and tempered glass. Laminated glass is what your windshield is composed of, while side and back windows have tempered glass. Laminated glass is far superior and stronger than tempered glass, it has to be since front windshields get hit with a variety a projectiles, from rocks and debris kicked up by other cars to larger and crazier things we hear on the news.

While tempered glass used on side windows is comparatively weaker, it is nonetheless practically impossible to break without the right tools. If you ever need to break into a locked car to save a trapped child or animal, as often is the case, watch this video. It teaches how to properly break a window and is useful for when every second matters.

Brian Brushwood, host on the National Geographic show Hacking the System, explains that you need a very fine, hard point to fracture tempered glass. The safety glass is made to withstand blunt forces, like pounding fists or a rubber mallet, but not the focused energy and force from a sharply pointed object. That is why taking a spark plug and smashing a bit of porcelain off of it worked so well in the video. The sharp point on the porcelain created a tiny fracture which then spread out and caused the glass to shatter.

Many cars have spark plugs right under the hood, diesel powered vehicles do not, and they just need to be broken in order to use this hack. Check out the video for more information and pass the knowledge along!

This Fluffy Cat Tries Ice Cream For The First Time Then He Proceeds To Make The Most Hysterical Face!

There is nothing tastier on a hot day then some delicious ice cream. The one problem we have all faced before is that deadly ice-cream headache/brain freeze which happens when we eat our delicious snack too fast. I know I have been a victim to the ice cream headache many times and will probably experience it again this summer.

An ice-cream headache, or its scientific name sphenopalatine ganglioneuralgia, is a form of headache which occurs during quick consumption of a cold food or beverage. The ice-cream headache happens when something very cold touches the palate and is believed to result from a nerve response causing rapid constriction and swelling of blood vessels.

In the following video a hilarious cat feasts on ice cream for the very first time. He begins scarfing it down at a rapid pace but then suddenly stops and has the funniest reaction ever! I had to watch this multiple times it is just too classic! We’ve all been there little guy, keep your head up!

This Guy Places Colored Sand On His Special Table. When He Does THIS I’m Mesmerized

Auditory Synesthesia is known as the rare ability to see sounds. For most of us we can imagine what this would be like but for some musicians like Billy Joel and Stevie Wonder this sense is a reality. Meet musician Kenichi Kanazawa who has created an amazing apparatus which will give us some insight on what seeing sound is really like.

Kenichi uses colored sand and then sends pulses of sound frequencies through this specially designed table. The sand begins to to bounce around and form different shapes. As he changes the frequency so do the shapes of the san as they morph into the most beautiful perfect patterns!

The whole thing is beautiful and rather hypnotizing. It is really amazing to see visually what is going on inside our ears. Imagine every time you are listening to any sort of music, vibration or any other sound this is happening inside of us. This demonstration completely blew us away and we knew we had to post it for everyone to see. Enjoy!

This Vicious Dog Spent His Whole Life Chained. But Watch What Happens When They Remove His Chain.

When animal rescue volunteers received a call, asking them to help a dog that had been kept on a chain most of his entire life, they were unsure of what to expect. Every call is different and each time they set out to check on a case they encounter a variety of responses and levels of aggressiveness from the animals. Alex, the German Shepherd they went to help in the video, was so uncontrollable and unapproachable when they first arrived that not even his owner could get anywhere near him.

He barked, snapped, growled, and lunged at the volunteer for over 20 minutes. Alex was completely on the defense and hostile, it appeared that he needed a lot of work and behavior therapy before he would ever be suitable for adoption.

At first, there seemed to be no way to get close enough to him so they could remove the oppressive chain he was tethered to. After working slowly and cautiously they eventually gained enough ground and trust to remove the restraint. They got Alex in the truck and drove him away from everything he used to know.

Within 20 minutes the dog changed completely, and for the better. He quieted down and became so calm that they even felt safe enough to let him out of the truck and pet him. It seemed that all Alex needed was to be taken off the chain and shown some love and affection.

Less than 24 hours later we see the dog sitting in the volunteers lap in his truck. Alex appears healthy, happy, friendly, and full of smiles. He looks like he has never been mean or aggressive a day in his life. The Olympic Animal Rescue group works tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home dogs just like Alex that have no where to go or behavior issues. Because of them, these animals are able to go on and lead fulfilling lives with new loving families. Please consider adopting a pet and helping local animal rescue groups near you.

WATCH: THIS Bear Climbs Up The Ladder and Then Does An Epic Belly Flop

Most people would be scared if they saw a bear playing around in their back yard swimming pool, but not Carl Bovard. He lives in Melrose, Florida with two bears and actively encourages the large beasts to take refreshing dips in his above ground pool. After all, Florida gets really hot and muggy in the summer time and when you carry around a fur coat that you can’t take off, you need to find a quick way to cool down.

Carl videotaped one of his bear friends named Bruiser eagerly climbing up the pool ladder and jumping off the top to do belly flops into the water. From the looks of it Bruiser is definitely a veteran belly-flopper because he doesn’t hesitate for a single second when he clambers up the short ladder and jumps. Once he’s in the pool he bear paddles around and seems to smile as he plays and splashes. Bruiser even looks adorable getting out of the pool, as he uses his two front paws to steady himself while throwing up a rear leg to clamber over the side so he can do it all over again.

Once out, he shakes off the water and ends up getting Carl all wet, but Carl laughs and doesn’t mind the shower. Bruiser looks like such a nice, relaxed, and playful sweetheart, judging by the way he acts in the water, even when he’s chewing on pool toys. This may just be the cutest bear video I’ve come across yet! Bruiser is living the good life at Single Vision, a non-profit animal sanctuary that Carl set up to help rescue animals and educate people about endangered species. He shares the space with two lions, two bobcats, two alligators, two mountain lions, two bears, and six tigers.

Bruiser is a Syrian brown bear, a smaller subspecies of brown bear that are found throughout the Middle East. Their population has been steadily declining from over-hunting, poaching, and habitat loss, and they are listed as a threatened-vulnerable species. Bruiser serves as an animal ambassador for his species to raise awareness of their plight and to help educate people about the reality of their current situation, as well as the future.

He’s a natural at showing people the softer side of brown bears, and proves that they are incredibly smart, playful, and happy animals if treated well. If you would like to donate towards the care of the animals at Single Vision visit their website and check it out.
