She Sings Happy Birthday To The Horse, But When The Candles Blow Out He Makes The Funniest Face Ever

image via – rumble.com

Horses have huge personalities and are full of surprises. If you’ve ever spent time around them then you know how they’re always finding ways to make us laugh and love them even more. Some horses even take on and adopt human-like traits. There are ones who have been caught doing things like talking, singing, and dancing along to music and more than a few have been observed blowing bubbles in the water to pass the time!

JD the horse is no exception to the rule, he’s just full of hilarious surprises. He’s always interested in what’s going on around him and sometimes he reacts to things in totally unexpected ways. Being the social and affable horse that he is, he was naturally thrilled when his human companion Sarah threw him a little birthday bash.

To celebrate her beloved JD’s milestone properly, Sarah bought him a festive gourmet birthday cake that was special made for a horses dietary needs. That way he could chow down on it without feeling guilty or sick the next day. After she gathered her friends together and lit the candles on the cake they all began to sing Happy Birthday to the big fella.

At the end of the song she told JD to blow out the candles and what he did next was hilarious. Not only did he blow out the candles like a pro, right after that he made the funniest horse face ever! He knows how to work a stable and a camera because the megawatt smile on his face was just magical, contagious, and downright fantastic!

JD happens to be the grandson of the legendary America Thoroughbred racehorse Secretariat who was a Triple Crown winner back in 1973. But don’t let that fact fool you because while his grandfather may have been lightning quick fast, JD apparently didn’t inherit his record-breaking speeds. What he lacks in swiftness he more than makes up for in personality and charm!

And that face, it’s too cute, you have to see the expression he pulls for the camera so check it out and smile!

THIS Lake In Oregon Completely Evaporated and Dried Out! Then a Mysterious and Scary Ghost Town Was Revealed!

image via – youtube.com

In 1955 the town of Old Detroit was officially abandoned, any and all residents were ordered out by  the US government. Soon afterwards water flooded in and all of the buildings and whatever else had been left behind was swallowed up by a new reservoir in Marion County, Oregon.  From that point on, the town and surrounding area was called Detroit Lake, which today supplies water to the capital city of Salem and other nearby towns.

When the region experiences low rainfall and a prolonged drought, water levels at the lake inevitably drop.  In 2015 the lake had reached a record low of 143 feet below capacity and things that had long ago been buried underwater were once again out in the open.  One relic from the past that was spotted was a 19th century utility wagon laying on its side in the muck.  A still in-tact cast iron plate on it showed that it was made by the Milburn Wagon Company of Toledo, Ohio and historians have estimated it to be about 130 years old.

It stayed in excellent shape all those years because it’d been buried at the bottom of the lake in a low oxygen environment. It’s brief exposure to air and sunlight probably damaged it more than the 100+ years being underwater did and thankfully its location was kept a secret by those who saw it.  In addition to the never before seen wagon, a cement lined octagonal pit was also discovered. However, no one has been able to figure out what it could be or what it was once used for.

The history of the lake and surrounding area is just as interesting as the random things that can be spotted in the mud when water levels drop.  Founded in 1880, the town of Old Detroit sprung up as a place originally meant to house the men who were working on the Oregon Pacific Railroad. When the railroad went bust, it became a place where primarily farmers, loggers and their families settled to work the land.  At one time there was a school and cafes, a hardware store, movie theater, tavern and church all dotting the streets. Life was good in the quiet picturesque rural community, but there were issues.

The main problem facing the area was that the Santiam River, part of the Willamette River basin, often flooded and was unpredictable.  Snowmelt from the Cascades and rainfall led to severe floods that raced down the canyon and valleys destroying everything in their path.  After years of expensive floods that wiped out families and farms downstream, Congress finally passed the Flood Control Act of 1938. It provided for dams to be built that would control the flooding and generate electricity.  Detroit Dam was one of them and by the time it was finished it measured 1,580 long, 360 feet high, and could hold 455,000 acre-feet of water.

However, before Detroit Dam could be put into operation, the town’s several hundred residents had to be relocated.  They’d asked the government for land to re-site the city on but were denied and so they turned to a local timber baron, A.B. Hammond, who was more accommodating.  He developed an old logging camp in the area and divided it up into lots which he sold to the displaced residents and other newer arrivals.

Finally in 1955 the dam was operational, and the North Santiam River went from being a swift moving, sometimes raging river, to a huge lake that covered the city of Old Detroit.  The town has been sitting at the bottom of the reservoir ever since and rarely makes an appearance. Only when the water levels drop off super low does anything from the past appear and 2015 was the last time that happened.

Have You Been Seeing 11:11 All The Time? THIS Is It’s Hidden Meaning.

image via – shutterstock.com

When you see a clock displaying the time 11:11, do you make a wish, or at least a mental note of it? Many people do exactly that and claim that they tend to remember and notice the time most often when it strikes 11:11. The reasons given for why this is so vary widely and you’ve likely heard of a few explanations, some of which may be explored below.

Part of the allure of 11:11 is that it’s the only time of day when all four numbers on a clock are the same. They appear uniform, clean, neat, and parallel respective to one another. This makes them pleasing to our eyes and mind, especially for those with a slight preoccupation with organization or numbers.

This may help explain why so many people say that they seem to always be looking at a clock when it’s 11:11. The sight of the number just sticks in their heads longer. In relation to that is the concept of synchronicity that may help shed light on the mystery and fascination surrounding 11:11.

Synchronicity is the belief that seemingly unrelated things, which in and of themselves are not that important, gain meaning and significance when they occur randomly at the same time. These events are often called “meaningful coincidences” as they have no apparent effect on each other, but are nonetheless meaningfully related in some way. We give meaning to 11:11 by ascribing it a sort of magical, special value.

That value stems from the most popular and common belief surrounding 11:11, which is that whenever you see it you should make a wish and your wish will come true. While this may or may not be true for everyone, it does give the numbers a special and meaningful sort of value. That’s because every time you see it and make a wish, you’re thinking of the things or events that you most want to happen or come true.

Other popular beliefs include the idea that the time is related to our spirit guides or guardian angels. They use it as a way to get through to us and to grab and hold our attention, so they can tell us something important. In similar regards to that is another thought which is related to numerology.

Within the practice 11 is regarded as a master number, which represents spirituality. In addition, it stands for increased awareness and perception by offering us a channel to our inner subconscious self. Thus, the number is a direct link, or a sort of doorway, to our soul and the desires, thoughts, emotions, feelings, and ideas hidden there. Some people even choose to look at 11:11 as a sort of glitch in the matrix.

Then there is the theory that if you notice 11:11 and stop to think about it, you’re taking time off to acknowledge the moment, and that is important. By simply stopping to fully realize and focus on what’s in front of you, you’re re-setting your own clock and rhythm. In the end, no one truly knows what real or absolute significance 11:11 may actually hold and that’s okay.

THIS Little Baby Creature Will Not Stop Walking Behind This Cop. But The Reason Is Actually Unthinkably Beautiful!

Australia is known for their incredibly unique and diverse wildlife, flora and fauna. There are so many species of animal that only exist in Australia which makes conservation of these diverse species one of Australia’s number 1 priorities.  These are some of the animal species that are native only to Australia, the Dingo, Koala. Tasmanian Devil, Thorny Dragon, Sugar Glider, Wallaby, Wombat, Platypus and of course the most iconic Australian animal the Kangaroo.

Australia has very strict rules when it comes to protecting their wildlife and for good reason. There are also many laws which restrict bringing in outside species into Australia that could potentially wreak havoc and destroy the natural ecosystems which are currently living in perfect balance and harmony with nature.

In today’s story we will be featuring a baby kangaroo named Joey whose mother was killed tragically when she was hit by a car. This poor little guy was left alone and abandoned without anyway to survive in the wild. Luckily for Joey a kind person had come across the baby animal and brought it to the local police station. At the police station the kangaroo orphan case was taken over by Constable Scott Mason. Scott had only been working at the police station for 3 weeks and now he found himself in a little bit of strange situation with a baby kangaroo that he instantly fell in love with!

When the baby kangaroo was brought in he was in pretty bad shape. The little fur baby was terribly dehydrated, starving and completely malnourished. When Constable Mason and Joey made eye contact their instant connection was undeniable. The good constable decided he would take over full care of Joey the baby Kangaroo which was no small task and would take plenty of time, love and energy to make sure this kangaroo would survive. Scott would start hand feeding the baby every 3 hours and make sure he was safe, comfortable and cozy at all times.

As time passed Scott and Joey’s bond grew stronger and the baby kangaroo even began using Constable Scott Mason’s uniform as a pouch! Scott had literally become his mama and the baby kangaroo would follow Scott everywhere trailing only a foot or two behind him at all times when he wasn’t in Scott’s pouch….

These 2 Little Kids Mysteriously Disappeared 3 Years Ago! But Then 1 Morning Cops Bang On Desperate Dad’s Door!

image via – youtube.com

As we all know, 50% of all marriages end in divorce. In the case of one of these couples, the situation escalated far beyond separation. Australian couple Harry and Jane divorced in October of 2014. Harry claimed the reason was because Jane lost interest in the marriage. Regardless, the couple had two children whose custody would need to be worked out.

After various court hearings, it was decided that Harry would watch his kids during the week and Jane would take them on weekends. On Friday, December 5th, Jane came to collect the kids for their first weekend. For some reason, Thomas, Harry’s 4-year-old son was particularly distraught over leaving. Harry reassured him he would see them soon and that it was only for the weekend. Little did he know that it would be much longer.

A few days later, Harry came to collect the kids from their school. He waited and waited but they never came out. After a little investigating, he found out that they hadn’t been at school that day. Harry instantly knew that Jane had taken them.

Harry immediately began to search for his kids. He went to any place he thought Jane might take them. He traveled to Brazil to no avail. He then traveled to London as he knew Jane had a British passport. Again, he found nothing. He then went to New Zealand as he knew Jane had acquaintances in a town there. Still, nothing.

3 years later, Harry received shocking news. The police came to his house to inform him they had found his kids. As he had suspected, Jane had taken them. They were living only 100 miles away from where she had abducted them. Harry finally reunited with his kids and was able to begin raising them far from his tyrannical ex-wife.

They Take Home THIS Little Shelter Puppy. But They Soon Realize Something Completely Different!

image via – youtube.com

Anyone who wants to open their hearts and home to a dog should look at rescuing and adopting one from a shelter first.  There are so many animals out there that need forever homes that you can always find one that fits your needs through rescue groups and shelters in your area.  It’s the best route to go and that’s what Sue Markham did when she wanted a new puppy.

There was only one small problem, Sue’s husband Robert wasn’t really a dog person and was hesitant about having one, especially a big dog.  Despite his apprehensions, Sue went to the local shelter anyways and ended up falling in love with a little one pound, 15 ounce puppy she adopted and named Yogi.  When she brought the little guy home, she told Robert that he was a Jack Russell Terrier, which was fine by him so long as it wasn’t a large breed dog.

As Yogi grew it quickly became apparent that he was not a normal Jack Russell.  As it turned out, he was in fact a Boston Great Dane, which is one of the largest dog breeds!  Soon Yogi was much bigger than the average Jack Russel and he just seemed to keep on growing. Even though Robert had not wanted a big dog, he had already fallen in love with Yogi and didn’t care that his wife had misled him about their new family member.

By the time he was done growing Yogi tipped the scales at over 200 pounds, which is much larger than the average Great Dane that tend to weigh around 135 pounds.  Because of his giant size, people in the village call him ‘Bear’, a nickname that’s more than fitting. He also stands at 6 foot 11 inches and eats an average of $213 worth of food each month.  That includes the four scrambled eggs and sausages he gets for breakfast, while his snack options range from popcorn and yoghurt to bananas and milk.

The gentle giant definitely has all of his needs taken care of and the Markham’s have gone above and beyond to accommodate his massive size.  They’ve given him his own special couch to rest on and had a custom horse coat specially made to keep him warm when it’s cold out. To ensure he stays healthy as can be they built a three-acre enclosed paddock area for him to exercise in and they shower him with love and attention.

Perhaps the sweetest thing about Yogi is that he’s best friends with an old female cat named Toffee who lives in the neighborhood.  The Markham’s would let her inside in the winter to stay warm and while they initially worried he wouldn’t like her, Bear ended up absolutely loving his new feline friend.  They snuggle on his couch, take naps together, they even groom each other with Yogi licking her ever so gently. According to Sue, Toffee regularly stops by just to visit him.

It seems like Yogi has it made.  He truly is a gentle giant and is living the good life!

Guy Planted Trees In The Same Place For Over 35 Years. Now Watch The UNTHINKABLE Transformation

image via – rumble.com

Thirty seven years ago a 16 year-old boy named Jadav “Molai” Payeng planted a couple dozen bamboo seedlings in the ground o his home island of Majuli, in Assam, India. The world’s largest river island, Majuli was essentially a huge sandbar covered in wetlands that was eroding fast. With each passing year the surrounding river ate away at its banks and it was shrinking quickly in size.

Jadav had originally been motivated to plant the bamboo trees there after he had come across a bunch of snakes that had died from excessive heat exposure. Heavy flooding had stranded them on the tree-less sandbar and so he decided to plant the seedlings in hopes of providing a little shade for those who might need it. Soon afterwards he started working for a division of the social forestry program and over the next five years he planted more trees on the island as part of a government reforestation project. When that came to an end in 1984 all of the forestry workers left, everyone that is except for Jadav.

He chose to stay behind and spent the the rest of his life planting trees on the island. From that day back in 1979 all the way up and through now, he’d head out into nature and plant new ones. His drive was relentless and soon there was a thriving jungle on the island. In fact he planted so many trees, over 550 hectares of them, that the resulting Molai forest was even named after him!

Today the forest is larger than Manhattan’s Central Park and many rare species of animals and birds have returned. Endangered Bengal tigers, Indian rhinoceros, apes, birds, deer, a species of vulture not seen on the island in over 40 years, and 110+ elephants live there. Erosion has also slowed significantly because the tree roots help to fortify the island against the river and the annual floods that it brings.

In the end there is a wise lesson that can be learned from his endeavors. If you simply give a little each day, and dedicate your time and effort to a worthy cause, it will all come back to you ten-fold in both obvious and mysterious ways. So check out the video to see Mr. Payeng in action and catch a glimpse of his forest and please help spread his inspirational story and pass it on to your friends and family, they’ll love it!
