10 Clear Signs Somebody Is Lying To You. A Simple Way To Spot a Liar.
image via – shutterstock.com
We all tell lies, it’s a part of our human nature. Sometimes they’re harmless, even well intentioned, and told to avoid hurting someone that we care about. Other times they’re not so minor. Instead of being trivial, they end up truly harming others and lead to nothing but trouble. We even lie to ourselves, we just can’t help it. As often as we hear them, one would assume that we’re quite adept at detecting a lie when we come across one.
While that may be the case for some people, for the majority of us it’s not. Thankfully there are signs to look for that can help us detect when someone is telling a lie. That way we can minimize any possible negative effects of the ones we happen to come across. Here are the top signs you need to know on how to spot a liar:
1. They hide or cover their mouth. A liar will often touch their face and mouth area when they’re being deceptive. It’s as if they are subconsciously attempting to cover up and shut down any further conversation about it.
2. They stare and maintain eye contact for an uncomfortable amount of time. This is classic behavior of a liar who is very likely consciously trying to deceive you. They believe that by staring and not blinking they are showing real honesty and are thus offsetting any suspicions others may have of whatever it is they’re lying about.
According to the accompanying video, honest people maintain eye contact for a little over half of the entire conversation. Someone who lies will gaze steadily at you for 70-100% of the time.
3. They blink rapidly. People who are uncomfortable tend to blink rapidly 5 or 6+ times in a row on average. This is a manifestation of the stress they’re likely feeling. It may also be an indication that they’re attempting to be more convincing, either way it’s a red flag you should pay close attention to.
4. They point. This can be both physical and verbal. They may be trying to deflect attention away from their lies by pointing your attention elsewhere. It’s also a way to shift the blame and defend themselves. Literally waving a finger around and becoming aggressive shows that they sense they’ve been caught in their lie and are attempting to distract you in a last ditch effort.
5. They give you too many details. Over sharing and offering up more information than is necessary is a sign that whoever is talking too much has a guilty conscience. They think that by being so forthright you’ll perceive them as open and honest, and will buy whatever line of bs they’re feeding you.
6. They fidget. While we all can be a bit restless at times, moving around more than average or nervously is a sign someone is lying. People will adjust their clothing, loosen a tie, play with a necklace, tuck hair behind an ear, wipe their glasses, twiddle their thumbs, clean up the immediate area surrounding them, straighten a pencil and pad, wipe the swear off their brow, and do just about anything else as they squirm their way uncomfortably through a lie.
7. They have trouble swallowing, clear their throat, and purse their lips. All of these indicate that the person is stressed and anxiety has set in. When that occurs our bodies slow salivary production which causes our throat and mouth to become dry and uncomfortable. Liars will appear to gulp before speaking, pinch their mouths closed, and purse their lips in vain attempts to get past this.
8. They display verbal and non-verbal disconnects. Our physical actions tend to naturally match the words that come out of our mouth. As such, when we agree with someone we nod in agreement, and when we disagree with someone we shake our heads from side to side as if to say “no.”
When there is a disconnect, a person will nod in denial while saying no, and/or shake their head from side to side in agreement while saying yes. These are unnatural movements that do not match up and are a strong indication that someone is lying.
9. Their voice changes. Depending on the liar, they may do a number of things with their tone of voice. They may speak rapidly or slow down, talk quietly or become much louder than usual, and maybe even stutter over details that they should be able to recall effortlessly had they been telling the truth.
Some people will just sound nervous or agitated at inappropriate times where they need not be. Others may be jumpy and defensive or hesitate before answering questions.
10. They start sweating more or breathing harder. A liar’s body will often give them away. Lying is stressful and causes both our heart rate and blood pressure to increase, which in turn makes us breathe more heavily and perspire. These two physical changes are highly noticeable within the setting and circumstances, so watch out for the obvious signs!
By honing in on a person’s body language, actions, voice, and their overall manner of speaking, you should be able to discern if they are lying or not. Simply training yourself to notice the above signs will give you a clearer overall picture down the line and help you figure out the truth.
The accompanying video covers these and a few additional signs so check it out and be sure to use them to your advantage. Call out the lies and the liars when you see or hear them, whatever comes first!

He Rubber Bands a Ziplock Bag To His Shower Head For a Grimy Shower Cleaning Life Hack Everyone Should Know
image via – facebook.com
When it comes to cleaning just about everyone loves learning new simple ways to get the same old things done. It can be fun and interesting to discover what nifty and quick solutions people have come up with to solve common problems. This video, from YouTube channel Outdoors and Gear Review highlights a helpful trick for dealing with a common and difficult problem you’re likely to encounter when tidying and cleaning your bathroom up; hard water deposits and stains.
Hard water can be a real pain in the neck and the nasty looking stains and blemishes that it leaves behind on bathroom and kitchen surfaces can be extremely hard to fully remove. The ugly spots and stains are caused by water that contains large amounts of minerals such as limestone, calcium, and magnesium.
These metals and minerals are naturally occurring, most often in areas with low water tables and mountainous regions, and water that contains them is perfectly safe to use and drink. The biggest downside to it is the crusty, whitish colored mineral deposits and stubborn stains it leaves behind. Over time these gradually build up on stuff, especially faucets and shower heads.
Many people struggle to remove these stains and often think that they need strong, harsh chemical cleaners to get rid of them effectively. However, there’s a better and more affordable way to go about cleaning a shower head with crusted on mineral build up. All you need is apple cider vinegar, a Ziploc bag, and a rubber band.
Simply pour some apple cider vinegar into the plastic bag and place it over and on the shower head. Use a rubber band to secure it in place and then leave it on overnight. Remove the baggy the following day, wipe the shower head clean, and it should be restored to its former glory!
Check out the video for more information and to see just how shiny and spotless looking it turns out. This may be the fastest, easiest, and most natural way to clean hard water stains. It requires minimal effort or exertion on your part so try it the next time you’re stuck cleaning the house!

Husband Films A Bear In His Yard. But Then He Sends Out His Wife The Intimidator To Get It To Leave.
image via – facebook.com
The Grillo family has been getting an unexpected visitor on their porch for the past few weeks. They weren’t really sure what their best course of action was to going to be to handle this specific situation. Everyday a black bear would show up around the same time of day and take a nice stroll through the backyard, exploring the Grillo family’s property. A few times the bear got a little too curious and caused a little bit of damage and left a mess. Finally on this day they had enough of their new neighbor taking over their property when ever he felt like it.
The patriarch of the family Mr. Grillo grabbed his video camera and started filming the bear doing his usual walk across the property like he owns the place. Then the bear ascends the staircase on to the porch which he likes to do most of the time. Mr. Grillo knew his wife was sick and tired of this big old black bear taking over their backyard so he yelled for his wife when he saw the bear about to make himself comfortable on the porch.
At first there was no response, however soon Mr. Grillo’s intimidator/wife Mrs. Grillo swings the door open like she is ready to have a championship boxing match against Mike Tyson in his prime! She comes around and you can tell by her body language and voice she is not messing around and she means business!
Mrs. Grillo makes her presence known and stands up to the black bear with absolutely no fear. Instead of running the opposite way like most people would do if they were standing toe to toe with a big old black bear she walks right towards the confused animal! I know if I was her I would be terrified and immediately run back inside, but she doesn’t even flinch.

She Tries To Remove An Angry Possum From Her Closet. But In The Bag She Finds An Unexpected Surprise
One woman was in for a huge surprise when she went to clean out her closet in an indoor/outdoor room at her Los Angeles area home. After opening the door and starting to clean she heard hissing and angry noises coming from a black plastic garbage bag. Inside the bag laid a large possum, which stuck its sharp fanged mouth out and looked ready to attack at any moment. The normally nocturnal, shy, solitary, and nomadic creature was not behaving at all like a normal possum would have.
The aggressive behavior the possum was exhibiting soon had an explanation. The woman, Tara McVicar, discovered that the garbage bag held a number of tiny babies who were hiding behind their mother. The possum was only trying to defend her babies and felt threatened when Tara went to clean the closet. They had probably been born in the tiny room, maybe even in the bag, and likely had not ventured far in the daytime world.
After this realization, Tara let the group calm down and slowly started to remove a few of the babies. She placed them right outside her back door, safe inside a hutch, in order to lure the mother out when she went to go find them. The mother gathered the babies she still had around her onto her back and cautiously began to move towards the door.
Slowly and surely she sniffed her way to her babies outside, and a short time later the family was reunited and all back together. With the rest of her babies firmly latched onto her backside the mama headed off into the woods. Tara reclaimed her closet and the possum family got back to nature, where they belong and will learn life lessons from mom!

Woman Places An Entire Spool Of Yarn Into Glue. The Final Result Is STUNNING!
If you’re anything like me then you probably think that yarn can only be used for knitting. Awhile ago I bought some thinking I’d learn how to knit but never quite got the hang of it, which left me with balls of yarn laying around unused. I was about to donate them until I stumbled upon this awesome DIY yarn lamp globe project. The finished piece looks uniquely beautiful and reminds me of one of those birds nest lamps that cost an arm and a leg. The decorative yarn globes and lampshade are easy to make and, best of all, inexpensive!
To start, you will need cotton yarn or hemp cord, standard school glue like Elmer’s (modge podge works too), and bouncy balls of whatever size(s) you desire. Cover up your work space and make an apron for yourself with plastic bags because this will get messy. If you plan on making a lamp, mark a large opening on the bottom where you insert the bulb, and a small one at the top for the cord, on the ball. Also, mark a spot for where you can deflate the ball later, to make it easier when the time comes.
Now mix equal parts water and glue in a plastic container large enough to fit the ball of yarn in. Pull out the end of the yarn and then soak the entire ball in the glue. Begin to pull and unravel the glue soaked yarn and start to wrap it around the ball. When you start, hold the end you began with in place with one hand and wrap with the other until it stays on by itself. Be sure to avoid wrapping around the openings you marked off and wrap until you run out of yarn. Pour any remaining glue mixture over the string so it sets more solidly and focus on the edges around the holes.
Now make a new clean surface with a fresh plastic bag and set the ball there to dry. It will take at least 2 days for it to completely dry so place it somewhere it won’t be disturbed. Once it dries the original color of the yarn you used will return and when it hardens the glue causes it to have a wicker-like finish. Once it’s dry you can deflate the ball with a pin or other sharp point, let the air out slowly, and once it’s deflated enough you can pull the ball out of the large hole. You now have a yarn globe!
To construct the lamp you will need a hanging light fixture, a light bulb, a 3/8 inch two-piece metal clamp connector, and a 1 x 3/4 inch washer, which can all be bought at hardware store. To keep the light bulb centered in a larger sized lamp take the washer and slide it down the cord to the position you want it set at. Then take the metal clamp connector, clamp it on the washer, then screw it in place. That will prevent the cord from moving around and make the lamp safer. Screw in the bulb, plug it in, and test it out to see if any adjustments are needed. Now all that is left is to hang it up!

Mommy Tells Giant Great Dane To Get Out Of Bed But He Proceeds To Throw a Silent Hissy Fit Instead
image via – facebook.com
Oftentimes our four legged friends are by our sides when we wake up in the morning. Some are eager to start the day off and get in a morning walk while others are there to kindly ask for a tasty treat. Then there are those animals who are less enthusiastic about the prospect of leaving their perfect, cozy, warm beds. If they had a choice they would much rather stay in bed than get up or go outside. The following video features a huge goofy white and black spotted Great Dane who just does not want to get up at all. His mama tries almost every trick in the book to get the big guy out of bed. However, the big guy won’t budge and doesn’t want to partake in mom’s plan and schedule for the day…
The giant puppy, named Reeza, is clearly in no mood for a morning walk and would rather stay put on his well cushioned couch bed. Reeza only wants to snuggle further into the couch, before he finally lets out a big yawn and sits upright on his hind quarters, but then he lays back down to try and get a little more shut eye. In the background his owner pleads, to no avail, for him to start moving and get out of bed.
She even threatens to dump him out of his spot but he could care less. When she moves in closer to him he fakes another try at getting up and for a brief moment it looks like he’s about to jump out of bed. However, he has second thoughts and goes back down on his belly for more blissful rest. At a point near the end of the video Reeza begins to see that there won’t be anymore peaceful time for relaxing as his owner keeps up her urging and renews the threats to pull him out of bed. After a few snuffles, wide yawns, and mushing his face into the cushions he makes a few more false starts before he finally gets up on all fours legs and leaves his bed.
I know all too well how this tired puppy feels. Sometimes you just want to sleep in and when someone is trying to get you out of bed all you can think is ‘go away and leave me alone.’ We have all felt like Reeza at some point in our lives and had moments where getting out of bed is the last thing we want to do.

This Guy Takes An Old Splintered Wood Pallet and Cuts It Up. The Final Result Is Incredible!
Wood pallets are ideal for moving and storing heavy items and also burn well in bonfires. Now they can be re-worked into beautiful, creative, and functional wine racks with the step by step guidance found in Joe Lydic’s YouTube video. The DIY project turns out a storage shelf with rustic appeal that’s perfect for storing wine glasses, bottles, openers, corks, and whatever else you can fit on it. Best of all, you can usually procure wood pallets from local landscaping companies for free..
For this project all that is needed are some nails, wood glue, measuring tape, a hammer, a saw, sander or sand paper, a level, and a wood pallet. Begin by hosing off the pallet to get rid of any dirt or dust that may be on it. On the side of it you will see a cut out area, just above that (an inch or so) measure out a line for where you will make a cut. In the video this is 16 inches in from the side edge, and be sure to mark each of the 3 main supporting pieces at the same spot. Take your saw and cut all three of them off then sand the edges of where you made the cuts until smooth.
Next, take an extra slat of wood from the pallet and nail it to the top where you cut/sanded, checking to ensure it sits level. Lay the piece on its side and measure the width and height of the bottom opening (18”x3½”). Take another extra slat and measure out those same dimensions so when cut it fits snugly in the bottom of that opening. Move it onto its other side and hammer in some small finishing nails to secure that bottom piece.
Next, cut 2 small sections off another extra slat (1”x3½”) and nail one onto each bottom end of the wine rack. Take another slat, place it across the top, and set wine glasses on to see how far apart they need to be spaced so they don’t hit each other (5”). Mark off the distance across the top piece, drill a hole at each mark, and cut a slit from the edge inwards to meet that hole. This is where the wine glass stem will slide into place and be held on the rack. Check that the glasses fit, then glue the top on the 2 small end pieces, and finish with a few nails. Sand over the entire rack until smooth and you’re done! The final piece has bottom slots for wine glass storage, a middle shelf for bottles, and extra space on top. It has a rustic and unfinished look but you can always paint or varnish it to your taste.

This Man Passed Out In The Middle Of A Busy Road. But Just Keep Your Eyes On What His Dog Does.
When a man fainted on the street in Guizhou, China, his loyal dog stayed right by his side. Amidst the busy and bustling crowds the small cream colored pup kept up his guard against any and all who approached the unconscious man. Even when the police and paramedics arrived he stayed put, and tried to fend them off, but was driven away so they could attend to his owner’s urgent medical needs. The poor dog wanted only to guard and protect his best friend but as long as he was still within sight it was okay that he be forced to back off.
Understandably, the man’s best friend was distressed at the sight of him sprawled out on the ground. The confusing turmoil surrounding them must have been overwhelming. Between the strange people staring, approaching, and trying to help and the loud sirens, lights, and men in uniform, any animal would be stressed by the sudden turn of events. Thankfully, the anxious puppy was allowed to ride in the ambulance and accompany his owner to the hospital. It would have been so sad if he wasn’t and the two were separated.
The dog’s reaction and how he stood guard over his helpless owner is further evidence that dog’s are intensely loyal, unfalteringly protective, and man’s best friend. It makes me wonder if my cat would do the same….Check out the video to see the dog’s heartwarming behavior.
