Sometimes you just need some decadence for a family meal that isn’t a dessert; this is a “party-in-your-mouth” dish that will become a family favorite. I love all the ingredients of Cracker Barrel’s Hash Brown Casserole, that when combined is simply out of this world delicious.

The video that you are about to watch below teaches you to make this crowd pleaser on your own. When I made it for my family, I found it to be incredibly easy to make, and it took no time to have it on the table
for a complete meal.

The recipe shows you how to prepare the potatoes that get placed in a greased pan. I, myself, like the simple seasoning of salt and pepper that the recipe suggests, but you certainly can add other spices.

Separately you will combine: Cream of Chicken Soup, Sour Cream, Melted Butter and Onions. This gets poured over the potatoes, and is finished off with a good amount of shredded Cheddar cheese.

The video will give you the rest of the baking directions. The end result is a golden masterpiece! Enjoy!!

He Takes Potatoes Slices Them Into Thin Layers And Puts Them In A Muffin Pan. When It’s Done YUM!

There’s a right way and a wrong way to go about doing practically everything, and then there’s all the ways that fall in between those two opposite extremes. The awesome cooking idea shown in this video falls somewhere in the middle and makes you think outside the muffin tin.

In it the YouTube Home Cooking Adventure channel shows us how to use the bakeware for cooking up something other than traditional muffins. Instead, it features a novel way to use the tin to bake delicious Parmesan potato treats that your whole family will love and appreciate.

These are the perfect accompaniment for dinner instead of the same old baked and mashed potatoes we’re all used to eating. Below is a list of ingredients and instructions on how to prepare them:

Ingredients: (Serves 4-6 people)
– 3 tablespoons of melted butter
– 2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese
– 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
– 1 teaspoon of thyme leaves
– salt and pepper, to taste
– 8-10 gold potatoes, sliced very thin
– muffin tin (with 12 cups)

First, preheat the oven to a toasty 350° Fahrenheit and grease or butter up the muffin tin. Place all the potato slices in a large bowl and pour the melted butter, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, thyme, and salt and pepper. Mix them all together so that everything is nice and evenly coated.

Take the buttery slices and place them into the muffin cups, making sure to stack and layer them as you go. Pop the muffin tin in the oven and bake for approximately 55-60 minutes. They’ll be done when the top and edges turn golden brown.

They will be super hot, so after you remove them allow them to sit and cool for at least a couple of minutes before serving and if you’d like, sprinkle a bit more salt and pepper or Parmesan cheese on top.

These potatoes will be yummy and crusty on the outside and tender and delicious on the inside. They’re great on their own or as a side with steak, chicken, and basically anything so try them out this weekend!

2 Sisters Are Prepping A Turkey Ready. But They Are Stunned When They Find THIS Inside!

image via –

Thanksgiving is all about giving thanks and the day is traditionally centered around a huge feast of tasty foods and drinks. People go all out for the holiday and all sorts of special desserts, pies, and sides are whipped up to accompany the main dish, a big round turkey breast.

Families come together in the kitchen to prepare the big meal, tables are set, and once the turkey’s thermometer has popped and the bird is pulled out of the oven, it’s time to eat! Many families have a designated bird carver, who is the person in charge of slicing up the turkey and doling out the meat.

However, as is with all things tradition, that role gets passed along to the next in line, along with secret recipes and other special cooking duties. One family decided to switch up their Thanksgiving routine and mom and dad came up with a plan to inject a little humor into the pre-dinner process, with a prank!

Naturally, the parents wanted to catch the memorable moment on video and record their unsuspecting kids reactions, so they innocently started filming as one of their daughters began to prepare part of the meal. The daughter, Raquel, was digging some stuffing out of the turkey and idly chatting with her mom, who was behind the camera directing her.

It all seemed fine and normal, but little did Raquel know about what laid in wait deep down inside the oven fresh bird. Suddenly, she came upon something completely unexpected and freaky…a tiny bird was tucked away deep down inside the larger turkey!

The strange discovery proved to be quite upsetting and she immediately started to cry, in both disbelief and sadness at the thought of having just roast a pregnant bird and it’s baby. It seems that in her state of shock and upset Raquel forgot, or failed to realize, the fact that turkeys lay eggs and cannot get pregnant.

That makes her parents prank all the more hilarious and one things for sure, next Thanksgiving mom and dad better watch out.

If I were her I’d want to get a little payback, and maybe turn pranks on other family members into a new Thanksgiving tradition.

She Takes 4 Mugs Of Raw Eggs And Holds Them Over Hot H2O. When She’s Done A Delicious Surprise!

Eggs are one of the most versatile foods to cook with and eat. They are a main ingredient in many recipes and are often cooked by themselves in a variety of different ways. The fact that they are widely available and inexpensive further make them a staple to have on hand in the kitchen.

Plus, they make a great addition to main dishes or as a side accompaniment to a meal. Even people who are not master chefs can easily whip up a batch of scrambled, hard boiled, or fried eggs. However, when it comes to poaching an egg, that falls on the more difficult side of the egg cooking spectrum.

Poaching is a cooking method whereby a food is dropped and simmered in a liquid. Usually the liquid is water, milk, or some type of stock, and it’s an ideal way to cook foods that tend to fall apart when cooked other ways.

That’s why many recipes involving eggs, fish, chicken, and fruits are poached. Mastering the technique can be difficult but if you follow the accompanying tutorial from America’s Test Kitchen you can get it down right and soon you can be poaching 8 eggs simultaneously.

First off, you are going to need water, a skillet with a lid, 2 tablespoons of white vinegar, 1 teaspoon of sea salt, 8 large eggs, and 4 ceramic tea cups. Start by filling up a skillet with water and add in the white vinegar and sea salt.

Place it on the stove over high heat and wait until it boils. In the meantime, prepare the eggs by cracking 2 of them into each one of the tea cups. When the water has reached a steady boil turn off the stove and slide the skillet off of the hot burner.

Grab two tea cups in each hand and gently tilt them while lowering the rims into the water. All of the eggs should flow out at once and thus will cook evenly. Place the lid on the skillet, wait five minutes, and do not move or agitate the pan.

Take the lid off and scoop up each egg individually with a slotted spoon. Place them all on a paper towel lined plate to absorb any excess water and sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. In the end, you should end up with neatly cooked egg whites that ensconce a still runny, slightly creamy, liquid yolk.

When you dig a fork into them and pierce the whites the yellow yolk will spill out and that’s what the ideal poached egg should look like. Bon Appétit!

He Takes A Knife And Slices It Through This Popcorn Bag. But What He Makes Is Brilliant!

image via –

Microwave popcorn is one of the easiest and most convenient snacks to make. All you need to do is stick the bag in the microwave the right side up and press the preset ‘popcorn’ button. A few minutes later it’s done and ready to be scarfed down.

While at first glance it may seem like there is no way in which the process can be improved upon, there are always ways to make things better and microwave popcorn is no exception. Leave it to everybody’s favorite, YouTube’s Crazy Russian Hacker, to figure out the top hacks in which to go about making awesome popcorn.

Firstly, when most people go to reach into a bag of freshly popped popcorn they usually do it from either of the two ends. That means they end up sticking their fingers down into the greasy, buttery, salty, and sometimes cheesy bag to fish around for their snack and end up getting their hands all dirty.

Instead, open the bag from the side by laying it flat and using a knife to cut the entire side off. This makes it easy to reach all the popcorn without coating your entire hand in grease. Another issue is there are always a few kernels that fail to pop in the bag and no one likes biting down on a hard piece.

To easily get rid of them just shake the bag with the heat vent side facing down over a trash can. The unpopped pieces will make their way out of the bag and fall into the garbage where they belong. If you ever find yourself with popcorn kernels but no way to pop them try making your own bag popping system.

Take a brown paper bag and fill the bottom with the kernels, then add in a little pat of butter and whatever seasonings you like, rumple and close the bag and stick it in the microwave. Be careful to watch the bag as it pops and make sure you don’t overcook it.

This way works just as well as the prepackaged versions. This method also works with a glass bowl and a glass or microwave safe plate. Simply combine all the ingredients like above into the bowl and then place the plate over the top so it is covered.

Place it in the microwave, press the popcorn setting and watch it pop. Be careful removing it because the glass will be super heated. Finally, to modify a bag of popcorn you can cut open a slit on one side and pour in seasonings or add more butter to it that way.

Then take a piece of paper tape (not plastic) and cover the slit, microwave, and open from the side to enjoy. Making it this way ensures that the popcorn will be tastier and better suited to whatever preferences you may have.

Get creative and try new taste combinations, who knows, you could end up making the best popcorn of your life!

He Pours A Whole Bottle Of Wine Into This Pot And Then Adds Spaghetti. When He’s Done YUM!

image via –

Fill a large pot of water and place it on the stove with high heat. While you’re waiting for the water to boil, peel and finely mince one clove of garlic. Shell and chop 1/4 cup of pistachios for topping. Once the water is boiling, add salt and one pound of thin spaghetti.

Use tongs to make sure all of the pasta is submerged. In a large skillet, melt one tablespoon of butter over medium heat and add the minced garlic, along with 1/4 teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes.

Once the garlic mixture is slightly browned, pour two cups, or 3/4 of a bottle, of red wine into the skillet. After about 3-4 minutes of cooking, when the pasta just begins to bend in its pot, use tongs to move it into the wine in the skillet.

Cook for a few more minutes until the pasta is tender, but slightly firm to the bite. At this point, turn off the heat and add two more tablespoons of butter, stirring until thoroughly combined, to give the dish a creamy texture.

Portion the wine soaked spaghetti into dishes and cover the top with sprinkled chopped pistachios. Your meal is now ready to be served and enjoyed. Savor the rich flavor of the slightly spicy, garlic and wine infused noodles contrasting with the satisfying crunch of the green nuts.

This quick recipe is easy to pull together and delightful for the taste buds. Its simplicity is pure art in the form of gourmet cuisine, suitable both for entertainment and family meals.
