4 Year Old Girl Was Hit By A Boy At School. How The Mom Responds On Facebook Has Everyone Talking!

A 4-year-old little girl went to school one day and got hit in the face with a rock.  She was so badly hurt that her mom had to take her to the emergency room for stitches.  Traumatized both physically and emotionally, they went to check in when they arrived at the hospital.  Standing there with a swollen eye, bruised and clearly hurting, the man behind the desk looked at this 4-year-old and said, “I bet he likes you.”

Somehow I think this man believed that he was being of comfort to this child; somewhere in his life he had learned or come up with the equation, that a girl being hit hard enough in the face to require stitches, meant that the perpetrator “liked” her.  It is truly horrifying that an injured, impressionable young girl would ever receive such a terrible message.

The fact that any adult would tell a child that being hurt by someone was a sign of affection is just so disturbing.  We all know that children hit each other when they are young, and part of our job as adults is to teach them that hitting is not an acceptable way of expressing their emotions.  It should never be tolerated or rationalized.  Her mom, who was outraged by the man’s comment wrote the following:

This was posted on Facebook, and really says it all.  “I bet he likes you” are not words of comfort at any age.  Would he actually say those words if a young woman came in battered and needing stitches?  Is it ever okay for a girl or woman to rationalize abuse as being a sign of affection?

The answer is a clear NO.  The same answer applies to boys and men. In the video below watch the responses of little boys when they are asked questions about aggression towards girls.

Haters Fat Shame This Pregnant Meteorologist. Her Response Is Epic!

Katie Fehlinger, a local Philadelphia television meteorologist for CBS, recently posted on Facebook to address some negative, and disturbing, remarks that she’s received about her appearance. Katie is currently 35 weeks pregnant, which puts her at the 8 month mark, and is carrying twin girls in her bump.

It seems as though some of the stations viewers are unhappy about her pregnant on-air appearances and have taken to social media to air their hateful opinions.

While many people have shown her love and support, a few trolls have been anything but that. Instead, they left hateful comments, calling her a “sausage in casing,” and one even read “sticking your pregnant abdomen out like that is disgusting.” At first she tried to ignore it, but soon it became too much to just brush aside and she was deeply hurt by the comments.

That’s when Katie decided to deal with these insults head on and on Wednesday morning she posted a response on her personal Facebook page. It has since gone viral and has amassed over 70,000 likes, 5,200 shares, and thousands more people have left comments and messages of encouragement as well.

The response has been overwhelming and mothers-to-be everywhere are sending in pictures of their own baby bumps, to show support and stand in solidarity with Katie. She summed up the national response by saying, “this exploded, because this is the most relatable thing in the world.” Keep reading to see the inspiring words of wisdom she wrote:

A message for the haters…
Hey guys! Once more, I have to get something off my chest. So, the nature of my job makes me an easy target for criticism. I will always understand that, and I will most typically just ignore it. However, after someone blatantly called me a “sausage in casing” and another declared that “sticking your pregnant abdomen out like that is disgusting”, I felt a need to draw a line and speak up.

Everyone’s right to their opinion is important, but so are manners. And while rude comments like these will never make me feel the need to change anything about myself, I find a bigger underlying issue here. These particular nasty-grams were directed at a pregnant woman.

So this little manifesto of sorts is dedicated to every mother out there – other pregnant moms-to-be, moms reading this while their toddlers play on the swing set, moms whose kids have long since gone off to college… You are beautiful.

Even during the most uncomfortable – and let’s face it, less than glamorous – symptoms of pregnancy, what women go through to bring their precious children into the world is, simply put, AMAZING and you should be lauded. Frankly, I don’t care how “terrible” or “inappropriate” anyone thinks I look. I will gladly gain 50 pounds & suffer sleepless, uncomfortable nights if it means upping my chances to deliver 2 healthy baby girls. Now it’s about more than aesthetics. I want these babies to have the best start possible. And that hopefully means my belly that “looks like it’s about to explode!” will continue to grow the next few weeks.

I say let’s raise a Shirley Temple to swollen feet, stretch marks, nausea, all the extra pounds and the dark circles! They’re badges of motherhood. And for those of you who think that’s “disgusting”, remember a woman went through the very same thing to bring YOU into the world.

In the meantime, let’s all remember the lesson Mom taught us – if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all. Source: Facebook

Rude Crowd Disrespects THIS Tomb. How The Guard Reacts To Them Is EPIC

There is something really awe-inspiring about viewing the changing of the guard at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA.  It takes place at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, which is commemorated to the men and women who gave their lives for the United States, and died without their remains being identified.

The changing of the guard is an austerely choreographed series of steps and movements that  include the juxtaposition of the soldier’s rifle.  The actions of the soldier alternate between sharp sounds and silence.  The silence is both an act of respect for the fallen soldiers, and required for the majesty of the movements.

After each change is finished, the ceremony goes on, alternating between regimented walking and stillness.   Salutation of the tomb occurs before the soldiers fall into step, after replacing the sentinel who finishes his duty.  This exchange goes on throughout the day, as the monument is always guarded.

Being a guard is taken quite seriously by those who are honored to do the job.  They expect silence by visitors who come to watch the ceremony.  On the particular day, that you are about to watch on the video below, the visitors did not follow the required rules of silence.  Watch what happens as they rudely disregard the seriousness of viewing this cemetery.  They clearly get the message from the guard, who is astounded by the lack of respect.  Let us know what you think about this most unexpected moment.

Mommy Asks Her Baby A Question. The Little Girl Responds and Dad Can’t Stop Laughing.

Baby talk should be called something else because the sounds that come out of a baby’s mouth aren’t really words, so they really are not even talking! The stream of random goo-goo-ga-ga-ba-da-da noises that babies love to chirp out is virtually impossible to understand. Man has yet to figure out a way to translate or interpret their gibberish and it’s anyone’s guess as to what meanings or words they may be trying to convey.

This language barrier doesn’t stop young children from holding full length, animated conversations from time to time! The baby in this video is at that stage in life where she’s just starting to talk and find her voice. Check out the weird, mini-conversation of sorts that she had with her parents in the car after a party. At one point her mother asked her “do you remember who was all there?” and lets’ just say the girl had a lot to say!

The video’s title is spot on, aliens may have indeed been communicating through this little girl’s body! So if you love happy little children and all their joyful gibberish, this babbling baby’s for you!
