Vinegar is arguably one of the most useful substances on the planet, at least when it comes to making life in your home easier, less expensive and safer! Why use nasty chemicals that cost an arm and a leg when you can use something that has been proven by time and countless mothers and grandmothers? I personally use vinegar for more things than I can count, and I have known about the wonderful liquid since before I can remember because my mom used it for literally everything. We are going to thoroughly run through some of the best little known vinegar life hacks that will make your life so much easier.
Is your drain clogged? Try pouring baking soda, followed by vinegar, down the drain and watch the magic. Something gooey sticking to your wall? Grab the vinegar and give it a squirt, then easily wipe it away.
Does your trash can smell like garbage, even when it’s empty? Soak a piece of bread in vinegar and leave it in the garbage can overnight, and voila, no more stank. It can also be used as an all-purpose cleaner: just fill up a spray bottle with one third vinegar and two thirds water.
Too many fruit flies? Fill a glass with apple cider vinegar, cover it with plastic wrap, and poke a few holes. The flies enter, but cannot escape. It can even be used to straighten clothes if an iron isn’t available. A few other uses include keeping cats off the furniture, helping cut flowers stay fresh longer, getting tough stains out of pots and pans and cleaning glasses for a smudge-free sheen. Hard water can be a real pain in the neck and the nasty looking stains and blemishes that it leaves behind on bathroom and kitchen surfaces can be extremely hard to fully remove. The ugly spots and stains are caused by water that contains large amounts of minerals such as limestone, calcium, and magnesium.
These metals and minerals are naturally occurring, most often in areas with low water tables and mountainous regions, and water that contains them is perfectly safe to use and drink. The biggest downside to it is the crusty, whitish colored mineral deposits and stubborn stains it leaves behind. Over time these gradually build up on stuff, especially faucets and shower heads.
Many people struggle to remove these stains and often think that they need strong, harsh chemical cleaners to get rid of them effectively. However, there’s a better and more affordable way to go about cleaning a shower head with crusted on mineral build up. All you need is apple cider vinegar, a Ziploc bag, and a rubber band.
Simply pour some apple cider vinegar into the plastic bag and place it over and on the shower head. Use a rubber band to secure it in place and then leave it on overnight. Remove the baggy the following day, wipe the shower head clean, and it should be restored to its former glory!

By coats the earring it helps them slide through and lessens any negative reaction or sensitivity you may have. If the scent of your perfume disappears way too quickly take some Vaseline, apply a thin coat to the area where you plan to spritz it on, then spray the perfume over that area. In a spray bottle container mix together 2 parts isopropyl alcohol with 1 part water and then add in 1 tablespoon of liquid dish soap. Shake it up, spray it directly onto an icy windshield, and watch the ice literally melt away right before your very eyes!
This rubbing alcohol spray is the perfect thing to have on hand for freezing cold mornings and icy windshields. You can leave the bottle in your car and it won’t even freeze, unless it gets well under zero. That’s because the freezing point of isopropyl alcohol is -128.2 degrees Fahrenheit, so when you spray it on the ice, it doesn’t freeze up. Instead, it helps to melt the ice and keeps it from re-freezing. Since all you have to do is mist it on, it’s by far the quickest and easiest way to clear a windshield that’s coated with a thick layer of ice.

3) DIY Boot Inserts- Maintain the shape of tall boots by cutting a foam pool noodle into thirds or fourths, then stick a piece in each boot and they’ll stay upright, making them easier to organize and wear later on.
4) Stop Wipers From Freezing to a Car Windshield- Take an old pair of long cotton socks and slide them over each wiper, puling it down as far as it can go or reaches. This will prevent wipers from freezing and/or sticking to the windshield, and makes life all the more easier.
5) Organize Winter Gear- Hats, scarves, gloves, mittens, hand warmers, neck warmers and all other winter accessories can be neatly stored in one accessible place with a shoe organizer. Hang it over a door and never search for lost gloves again.
6) Windshield Treatment- This one is the best! A combination of vinegar and water works wonders at preventing frost and ice from building up on car windshields and windows. Mix the two liquids up in a spray bottle, spritz it on car windows, then wipe off with a soft cloth.
7) Boot Tray- Keep floors safe, clean, and dry by making your own boot tray. This one is much more appealing than commercially available ones and works even better. Fill a large metal cookie sheet with a layer of decorative rocks and put it near the door so that when people enter they can immediately place wet boots on the rocks. The water will drip through the rocks to the bottom and soon evaporate. As his restaurants were all extremely successful and he was making big money he was able to start his own airplane collection! His favorite hobby was buying old broken down planes and restoring them back into pristine condition. However, in this story David discovers a mysterious abandoned airplane in the middle of the jungle! According to David this incredible find is his number 1 most important achievement of his life..
As his money grew his love for planes expanded even further. He not only wanted to just buy planes from people he wanted to hire a team and map out places where abandoned planes could potentially be found. After his team was hired and did their homework they believed there was a pretty good chance that one of these planes could be located in in the jungles of Papua Guinea.
David and his team quickly booked their flights and headed out to their destination. He would need this team to help him navigate through the jungles so he wouldn’t end up getting caught out there alone. He wanted to avoid a tragedy at all costs so he made sure this team of experts were the most exceptionally qualified candidates for this hidden treasure adventure.

11-Year-Old Girl Put On Her Favorite Dress For School Photo Day. But How The School Reacted Left Her Hysterical In Tears!

Well it’s finally August which means summer is already winding down and it’s almost time for some back to school shopping. It’s hard to believe that Autumn is already right around the corner when it feels like summer just began yesterday! Parents and their children have already began flocking to stores, to pick up new pencils, pens, book covers, (trapper keepers if they still make them), binders, folders, journals, calculators and so much more. On top of all the school supplies, many will be picking up new shoes, backpacks and clothing to begin the new school year. In particular one item that is super important every year is that perfect outfit to wear for your school photo!
This brings us to today’s story which features a young 11-year-old girl named Vegas who is about to start a new school year the the Lockwood Eileen Johnson Middle School In Montana. Overall, Vegas enjoys school and is a really good student and is well liked by almost all of her peers however one day back in September she experienced a nightmare of a school day she never could’ve imagined.
In late September in schools all across the world ‘Picture Day’ arrives pretty much on the same time every year. Some kids love Picture Day while others dread it and absolutely abhor it. Whether you love it or hate it, on this day you always have to dress up a little extra, put a little more time into your hair and just look the best you possibly can so your school pictures come out as good as possible.
Vegas had recently received a gift from her sister which was a grayish dress with a floral pattern that she absolutely loved. As soon as she got the dress she knew this would be the outfit she would wear for her school picture. The dress wasn’t scandalous at all, it wasn’t short, it was very conservative and she even put on black leggings to cover her legs. Mom helped her get ready that morning and the whole family agreed she looked amazing and knew her pictures were going to come out great!
She arrived at school went to class and waited for her time to get called in for her school picture. That’s when a school employee more specifically a teachers aid took her aside and told her what she was wearing was completely inappropriate for picture day and she wouldn’t be allowed to wear this beautiful dress she got from her sister for her school photo. Vegas obviously confused couldn’t understand what was wrong with the dress and why this was happening.
The school responded that the dress showed “too much of her shoulder” which was completely petty and a ridiculous reason to ridicule her, take her aside and embarrass her in front of all the other students. After she was publicly shamed for showing “too much shoulder” they let her take the school picture in the dress, but then they called her parents and told them they had to drive to the school and bring her different clothes that were less “scandalous” for the rest of the day!
Between the public shaming, making her feel horrible about the dress she loved and overall just making a huge spectacle out of a completely innocuous thing, Vegas couldn’t take it anymore, broke down and started hysterically crying. The whole day was completely traumatizing to this innocent and sweet little girl and she just couldn’t understand why this was happening to her…

This Guy Was Putting In a New Toilet When He Suddenly Discovered a Secret That Hadn’t Been Seen For Over a Century!

For years Luciano Faggiano had dreamed of opening his own trattoria. He had planned out everything to make the family restaurant possible and knew exactly what he wanted to include on the menu. The trattoria would be run out of his family home located at 56 Via Ascanio Grandi in Lecce, Italy, with the dining room on the ground floor and his family living quarters on the second floor.
Luciano had everything ready to go but one problem stood in his way, a leaky toilet that kept backing up. If he was going to serve delicious homemade food, he couldn’t have sewage stinking up the place and so he had to get it fixed right away. Luckily his two sons who were normally at college were home and so he had them help with the repairs.
The father son team started by slowly chipping away at the flooring to get to what they suspected was a leaky pipe. That’s when they noticed that there was a false bottom and what actually lay underneath was an open space. The smaller of the two boys was able to squeeze into the hole and what he found down there in the dark was a whole other extraordinary world.
It turned out that the Faggiano’s had found passageways and chambers that were abandoned, forgotten, and left dormant long ago. They set about excavating the underground tunnels which turned out to be a lot of work that required the removal of tons of dirt. When a suspicious neighbor noticed that an alarming amount of dirt was being brought out of the family home, they called the authorities who sent over an inspector.
When they found out what was going on, they charged Luciano with conducting an illegal excavation. While he was found guilty, he luckily escaped having to pay major fines. Any and all excavation work was ordered stopped by the courts until they decided on how to proceed. Luciano had still not found the leaky pipe and so he couldn’t open his trattoria, but now he was focused on finding out what lay beneath his home.
Finally a decision had been reached and the court said he could continue digging but only with a member of the Italian Ministry of Culture present. That way if anything of historical significance was found, it could be properly examined and preserved. Luciano got back to work and was busy trying to find the pesky pipe that was still leaking when he stumbled upon some old pavement. According to the expert on hand, it dated back to the medieval period, yet a little further searching led them to an even bigger discovery.
The Faggiano’s ended up in a Mesopotamian tomb which dated back 500 years before Christ! Further exploration uncovered a Roman granary, a Franciscan chapel, and artworks from the Knights Templar. All these amazing discoveries gave Luciano a new business idea, instead of an Italian trattoria, he’d turn his home into a museum. However, once again the authorities put a halt to his plans.
After the local government seized the best artifacts found under the house, they allowed him to open his museum. Today it is called the Museum Faggiano and anyone can visit the underground rooms and passageways to see Italian history through the ages.

How Many Hours Of Sleep Do You Actually Need Every Night According To Your Age?

Most of us spend around one third of our lives sleeping. That is based on the idea that, on average, people get about 8 hours of sleep each and every night. However, averages do not represent everyone and lots of people do not get the recommend amount of nightly shut eye. There is nothing worse than crawling into a warm, comfortable bed and not being able to fall asleep. It can be pure torture. If you have ever stayed up all night staring at the clock, watching the minutes tick slowly by, then you know the dreadful feeling.
It’s a well known fact that not getting enough sleep each and every night can be horrible for our mental and physical well-being. Studies have determined that people who often sleep less than 7 hours a night are slower to react and show marked signs of decreased cognitive functioning.
Over time, the effects of a chronic lack of sleep add up, leading to further health issues. Individuals who consistently get less than seven hours of sleep a night are at risk for higher rates of diabetes, obesity, and other health disorders. In fact, they’re even more likely to die earlier than those who get an average of 8 or more hours of sleep each night.
There’s no shortage of studies or information out there on the topic of sleep and this video covers some really interesting findings on how much of it you actually need. As we grow up, the different stages of our lives factor in heavily and affect the amount we should aim to get at different age intervals.

Tanya’s project uses a few old tires to create large garden planters. Her self-deprecating humor makes this idea all the more inviting…you don’t have to be a Martha Stewart to have this turn out pleasing to the eye for the whole season!
In the video, Visser takes you step-by-step in this easy to follow tutorial. She uses PVA primer as a base coat for the tires, which is great for you and your kids, because it washes out of clothes easily. She shows you how to place the tires, and how to prepare them for planting once all the decorating is done.
A plastic outdoor garbage bag, other color paints for drawing fun images, some drainage pebbles, good potting soil and bone meal, are the remaining things you will need. Watching the fun she has decorating with bright colors and choosing hearty plants to complete the project, has inspired me!
