When You See A Woman Wearing This Small Black Circle. It Means THIS..

In this day and age personal safety is always a concern for people, yet it’s often overlooked. While there are many different options and things available to choose from to increase your well-being, they aren’t always the best fit for everyone. The most common personal protection items like pepper spray, rape whistles, mace, tasers, and handguns often come with strings attached.
They are usually highly regulated or illegal to carry in certain places, expensive, ineffective, and some people just don’t feel comfortable carrying such an item with them. Plus, even if someone does end up with mace or a taser in their purse, it can be hard or impossible to get to it in time if and when they actually are attacked.
However, there is now a new personal safety device available that can protect people from physical assaults with just the touch of a button. It’s called Athena and it’s a simple, easy to access, wearable button that emits an extremely loud alarm and alerts others to possible trouble.
In the event that someone wearing it is attacked all they need to do is press the button for 3 seconds. That will immediately activate an alarm the company describes is “louder than a freight train” to scare the attacker off and grab the attention of others nearby.
Also, after the button is pushed text messages containing your exact location are sent to loved ones cell phones alerting them of the possible danger. These emergency contacts that you choose to receive the messages are further urged to contact the police.
The aim is to both stop the attack as soon as the button is pushed and to notify people who care and who can act on your behalf to get a police response if you are unable to.
In terms of how accessible it is users can wear it as jewelry on their wrists or as a necklace, tuck it into waistbands and under clothes, or clip it easily onto belts, bags, and other clothing items. The device is discreet in that it’s both small and lightweight, and it’s understated simple design doesn’t make it outwardly obvious.
It also can be carried anywhere and places where other personal security items cannot be taken, such as through security at airports and concerts. When it comes down to it, women are more likely to actually use the Athena device in the event of an attack over alternatives like guns, mace, or tasers.
It provides a safety net for wearers and empowers women in particular to go about their lives with an added layer of security. The device has already raised and far exceeded its $40,000 funding goal on Indiegogo and if you’d like one for yourself you can claim one on that site before they are available for retail purchase.

The Easiest Way To Transfer VHS Tapes To Your Computer In Under 3 Minutes!

So many of us started video recording back in the day, of the breakthrough, into what was then a new and exciting technology. VHS tapes held our precious memories that we played on our coveted VCR players.
As we all know these are now the dinosaurs that still lurk in our closets and basements. Many of us have converted the tapes to the higher quality DVDs, but have still held on to the original VHS tapes that are collecting dust. I know I’ve held onto mine after converting them to DVDs, “just in case”. I still have a couple of VCR players sitting next to my DVD players.
When I came upon this YouTube video, I was so excited to learn how to upload the tapes I hadn’t converted, onto my computer. This other method of preserving memories and getting to share them directly with my children, friends and other relatives is a great addition to DVD conversion. By offering the capability of storing certain footage on my computer, I now have the capacity to email them memories that otherwise wouldn’t be shared.
The video below, which you are about to watch, offers a step by step simple tutorial of how to do this in less than 3 minutes. I am so happy to have found this information that required little effort, and is so cost efficient.

Have You Noticed A Blue Light Displayed On Any Of Your Neighbors Porches? It Apparently Means THIS

Law enforcement officers across the nation have come under increasingly heavy criticism in the wake of several high profile events and cases. The fallout from these events has led to a sharp uptick in violent crime and assaults directed at police, and several officers have been murdered in the line of duty this year.
Being a cop has never been an easy job, but these days the men and women who serve to protect are having to put up with a lot of abuse and disrespect that gets hurled their way.
In light of all of this negativity, and in an effort to show support for law enforcement, a man from Virginia named Daniel Jessup created an event called “Blue Light Week.” Jessup made a Facebook page for the event which asked people to switch out their front porch light with a blue light bulb during the first week of 2015.
Over 100,000 participants ended up signing on to the event page and from January 1st to the 7th many of their porch lights shone blue. The main purpose of the event was to show support for local and national law enforcement officers throughout the country.
The blue lights conveyed a message of respect and solidarity with officers and their families, as well as helped to raise awareness and get people to stop and think about what it all means.
Participants and supporters who took part in the original 2015 Blue Light Week hope that the event catches on and spreads as more people become aware of it. They plan on doing it all again this coming new year and starting on January 1-7th of 2016 the second Blue Light Week will be held nationwide.
Anyone who wants to participate is welcome to do so. If you would like to show your support for law enforcement officers simply switch out your porch light with a blue bulb.

I’ve Been In An Elevator A Million Times But I Had No Idea You Could Do THIS!

If you’re like me and the mere act of stepping into an elevator sends you right to the edge of a panic attack, then this is a good trick for you. When you are in the seemingly eternal moments of enduring claustrophobia and wondering if the elevator door is ever going to open again, it could be handy to get the ride over with as quick as possible.
Usually, you have to keep your cool through the repeated stopping of the lift, feeling the enclosed box come to a sudden halt and the instantaneous loss of gravity which provides the feeling of all your innards moving toward your mouth.
Apparently, there is a way to lessen the amount of time spent suffering in this manner. You can actually control whether the elevator stops along the way while you are in it. When you step inside and push the number of the floor you wish to get off at, you can hold down that number together with the close door button for five seconds, and the elevator will go straight to that floor without interruption.
You no longer have to have your anxiety multiplied by every floor and by each person that enters into the tiny space effectively making it smaller and smaller. Conversely, maybe you are a thrill seeker and happen into an elevator with an attractive person whom you might be able to put the moves on.
By inhibiting any disturbance from other elevator riders, you could squeeze in a quickie if the building is tall enough. If you’re only traveling a few stories, a good make out session, or some touchy feeling, is feasible without the intrusion of unsuspecting visitors.
No matter what your incentive, this is a great trick for the elevator regular, except not if you’re the one waiting to get inside.

This Woman Starts Cutting The Stems Of These Roses. When She’s Done Unexpectedly STUNNING!

I’ve seen tie-dyed roses many times, but had no idea I could make them myself. The video you are about to watch below, was made by Kathy the CRAFTY CHICA who always wanted these roses herself, and made it her business to put together an easy and fun-to-follow tutorial on how to create this kaleidoscope effect.
With just some white roses, a packet of dyes, scissors, a knife and some clear plastic cups, you will see how easy this is to do. Each plastic cup will have a different color dye in it. Kathy shows you how to prepare the roses for optimal absorption of the different colors.
The angle and length that you cut the stems is critical to obtaining the most vibrant outcome. Additionally you will get to see how the color gets established from hour to hour over a 24 hour period. The great thing about creating these really cool color gradients, is that you have control over the hues you want to establish.
This is just such a great DIY to create for your own pleasure, to bring to a party, or to do for different holiday adornments. This will be totally perfect for Mother’s Day this year! Have fun watching this and let us know if you will try creating your own.
