If You Wash Your Face With Baking Soda and Coconut Oil 3x/Week For A Month THIS Happens To Your Face!

image via – youtube.com

Washing your face daily is essential to maintaining clear healthy skin and a glowing complexion. Equally important is what you use to wash your face with. Some facial cleansers are incredibly harsh and can end up harming the delicate skin on our faces, while others are weak and ineffective.

If you’ve ever read the list of ingredients on the packaging of face wash, then you know they’re chock full of chemicals and things you’re likely unfamiliar with and can’t pronounce. Sometimes less is more, and when it comes to our faces, the simpler the better.

All natural, non-toxic, simply derived face wash can provide all the cleansing power your skin needs without aggravating or over-drying it. This homemade concoction has just two ingredients and you can mix it up tonight at home. In a small bowl combine coconut oil and baking soda and make sure to break up any lumps in the soda before adding in the coconut oil.

There are no set amounts to this recipe and you can adjust it to your skin type and needs. People with sensitive skin should use a ratio of two parts coconut oil to one part baking soda, 2:1. Those who wish to exfoliate their skin should use equal parts of each ingredient, 1:1. Mix it together well and then massage it gently onto your face in circular motions. You can leave it on for a couple of minutes as you would a facial mask, or you can wash it off immediately using warm water.

After using this you’ll notice your skin is smooth, calm, and polished. The combination of baking soda and coconut oil is effective at treating and fading acne scars, redness, and breakouts. It also works well at exfoliating rough, dry skin, leaving it moisturized and clean. If you’re wondering how this simple scrub works, here’s a breakdown.

Coconut oil is a natural antibacterial agent and helps to unclog pores by fighting against and ridding it of germs. Baking soda works well at cleaning our skin because it’s effective at regulating pH since it’s not overly acidic or too alkaline, rather it falls right in the middle. When it interacts with things in our pores or on our skin that are either acidic or alkaline it naturally reacts to neutralize them and leaves us with neutral, balanced skin.

Perhaps the best things about this recipe is that both ingredients are extremely affordable, natural, and they don’t harm the environment like most of the ingredients found in beauty products do.

Try it out tonight before bed and see the results for yourself!

The Woman Puts An Empty Cup Over A Square Of Butter But The Reason Is GENIUS!

image via – facebook.com

Have you ever started to whip up a recipe and then suddenly noticed it calls for softened butter, but all you have is cold, rock-hard sticks in the refrigerator? It’s too late to take them out so they can soften up to room temperature and you can’t microwave the sticks because they’ll melt. What do you do?

Most of us caught in this position have either stopped baking altogether or resorted to slicing the sticks up into small pads. The idea behind that method is the butter will soften faster in smaller chunks because they give it more surface area. Or maybe your mother simply taught you it and passed the age old trick down.

While this last ditch effort does work, it’s not the best or the fastest way to soften butter to the desired consistency that works for baking and recipes. Instead, you should employ the technique covered in this video short where he goes over how to soften hard butter sticks in a clean and easy way that takes just 2 minutes. Simply take a piece of cold, hard butter and set it on a plate.

Grab a glass, fill it with hot water, and allow it to stand for at least one minute or a little longer. Pour the water out, dry the glass completely, and place it upside down over the butter. After about a minute or two the butter will have softened and now it’s ready for cooking and baking.

Hopefully this tip will come in handy the next time you find yourself facing this all too common baking conundrum, so please pass it on and spread the love!

This Woman Was Tired Of Her Gross ‘Popcorn’ Ceiling. So She Got Rid Of It By Doing THIS Simple Trick

image via – facebook.com

In the 1950’s a style of ceiling dubbed “Popcorn ceilings” became popular, because it was thought to increase insulation against noise.  As it turned out, these ceilings had a serious health problem on top of being truly ugly; they are a common place that asbestos is found. Well there is a very simple way to change this with an awesome life hack.

This hideous bumpy finish is something people want to get rid of without pulling out the entire ceiling.  The solution has finally been found by “Choppers Drywall”; they invented a vacuum that within minutes removes the unsightly bumps without the mess of sanding or more invasive methods.

You will see this ingenious invention in action in the video below.  It is nothing short of amazing, how this unusual vacuum sucks those bumps out of the ceiling so rapidly!  Let us know what you think about this solution to a decades old problem.

Strangers Were Asked To Write Their Biggest Regrets. What They All Had In Common Tore My Heart Up!

image via – youtube.com

What is your biggest regret?  This is a question that was posed in a social experiment.  A blackboard was erected on a sidewalk in the middle of New York City where this uncomfortable question was written.  Passersby were given the opportunity to answer it by writing a short response on the board.

The question touches a nerve in many people, because most human beings have some regrets; interestingly, many who passed this blackboard that posed this question, felt the need to unburden themselves.

Regrets about the big choices in life are sometimes hard to pinpoint;  are we regretful because we fell short in a relationship?; do we regret not having reached a goal?; are our regrets truly our own, or are they about not having reached someone else’s expectations of us?

There is a Robert Frost poem titled, “The Road Not Taken”; the most famous quote from it is: “Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, … I took one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.”  This line seems particularly apropos for this experiment.  When people wrote on the blackboard about their regrets there was one dominant word that stood out, and that was NOT.

Many seem so broken from the “NOTS” in their life.  People who wrote their regrets, came back some time later to see something new written on the board, that turned on a metaphorical light.  Watch the video below to see the process of the experiment and the message of hope that is brought home.

She Confronts This Guilty Pup About A Missing Sandwich. But Then He Reveals It With An Unexpected Surprise!

image via – youtube.com

Everyone reacts differently when they get caught red handed doing something that they know is wrong. Some people stop whatever they were doing, own up to their guilt and apologize for any wrongdoing, while others just try to disappear and avoid any and all conflict.

A lot of the time we deny that we’re doing anything bad, regardless of how obviously caught we may be. When that happens, it helps to hide all the incriminating evidence of the misdeeds and to keep your mouth shut.

That’s exactly what one dog did when his owner noticed her sandwich was missing after she briefly stepped out of the room. The only suspect she had was her dog, Saben, who was sitting looking innocent and yet guilty all at once on the couch. She asked him “what happened to my sandwich” to which he responded by turning his head to avoid her eyes.

That’s when she noticed that he had a suspicious looking lump bulging around his mouth area and she deduced that he’d hidden her sandwich in his mouth! Poor Saben must have been caught in the act before he could even swallow the tasty treat and thought he’d be able to hold it there for later.

As hard as he appears to have tried, the dry bread and uncomfortable feeling of a mouthful of food was too much for him to bear. Saben ended up gracefully spitting out the sandwich, which fell from his mouth to the edge of the sofa to the floor.

By doing that he killed two birds with one stone, he gave the sandwich back to his owner and relieved himself of the guilt of his crime. His owner thankfully appears to have a great sense of humor about the whole situation and hopefully Saben learned a lesson from all of this!

The next time you get caught red handed and are about to get an earful, try keeping your mouth shut no matter what. It helps to avoid an escalation in the drama and your words can’t be used against you if you say nothing. Try to look as innocent as can be and a little groveling action, in terms of slight bodily movements, can also help.

However, make sure your mouth isn’t stuffed full of food because as Saben has taught us, it will all come spilling out!

This dog video will make your day! 🙂

Her Daughter Had A Fever That Wouldn’t Go Away. But After She Put THIS In Her Sock And The Fever Broke!

image via – youtube.com

Onions may bring tears to your eyes but the slight, brief pain they cause is easily outweighed by the fact that they can also help fight against sickness and disease. The common bulbous vegetables are grown all over the globe and have been used in many different ways by various cultures.

Other than being edible and added to dishes to increase flavor, some people pickle and store them while others use half of one to clean BBQ grills, and some people even place them in socks at night to help their body heal. You read that last part correct; onions can help fight colds, fevers, and flu-like symptoms.

One mother found out about the healing properties of onions and decided to give them a try when her young daughter came down with a nasty fever. The little girl named Riley had been sick and was suffering from body aches, a headache, sore throat, and she’d developed a fever of 104 degrees.

Her mother was worried and desperately wanted to bring her baby’s fever down and make her feel better, but she didn’t want to go to the hospital just yet. That’s when her mother recommended that she try putting onions in Riley’s socks, which she promptly did.

The next day her daughter woke up and told her that she felt much better, her fever was gone and she was soon back to normal. The onions in her socks are what her mother credits for her sudden turn around and once you know the reasons why you’ll be trying this yourself!

The practice of placing onions on people’s feet can be traced back to ancient Chinese medicine. The Chinese determined that there are thousands of nerve endings on the bottom of feet which act like access points to internal organs and are closely linked with our nervous systems.

When a cut onion is placed on the underside of the foot it kills germs and bacteria because onions naturally have strong anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties. The phosphoric acid, the stuff that’s responsible for making you cry, enters into the bloodstream and helps purify the blood all over your body.

In turn, you become healthier and your improved body is better prepared to fight off infections and inflammation.
Many people have tried this alternative method and claim that it has worked wonders for them.

The positive response is encouraging, and with no apparent negative side effects, it seems like the onion theory could be beneficial to many people out there. Here is how you can try it at home:

Take an onion, red or white- they both work, and cut it into flat slices so they can be easily applied to the bottom of your feet. Pull on a pair of socks over the onions to keep them in place overnight and lay back and fall asleep. When you wake up remove the socks and discard the onions.

It’s that simple. As you dream the onion will seep in through your skin and work to purify blood and absorb toxins. If you’re worried about having a stinky smelling room or feet after this, don’t be. The onion’s natural properties also help purify the air in a room and since it kills bacteria it eliminates the main factor that causes foul smelling feet and gets rid of foot odor.

Putting onions in your socks at night may be just the right thing your body needs. It’s cheap, all natural, and can be done in the comfort of your own home. Give it a try and see if it works. Pass this information with loved ones, they may find it extremely useful and benefit from it as well!

Have You Ever Noticed This Symbol On Half The Food You Buy? THIS Is What It Means!

image via – youtube.com

Kosher is a Hebrew word that means “fit” and when it’s applied to food products it means that the items were produced in accordance with Jewish law. The Torah set out the basic foundation governing such dietary laws and the foods that Jewish people are permitted to eat.

In today’s world of mass production, where thousands of different products are widely available, only items labeled as certified kosher are seen as fit for consumption.

As such, in order to help people adhere to the dietary guidelines that their faith demands, the food industry had to come up with a label that quickly conveys that a food has been certified kosher. The symbol that is used universally all throughout the world is a U enclosed in a circle.

It can be found on product packaging or labeling and its presence means that the food has been certified kosher. While there are many different versions of the symbol that exist, almost all of them contain the circled U in addition to other writing or symbols.

When a P is next to the kosher symbol it means the product contains meat. When a D is next to it, that means it contains dairy. In addition, there are many kosher organizations that certify products and they each use a different image to show they’ve approved of them.

This is what accounts for many of the slight differences among labels and the accompanying video does an excellent job showing and explaining this and more. The kosher label is not only helpful for kosher observers, it also helps a variety of others, and can be of use to you too.

People with dairy allergies, vegans, and those on specific diets use the symbol to avoid meat and dairy products that are labeled as such. Plus, if you ever pick up something and are wondering whether or not it contains milk, dairy, or other animal products, check for the kosher symbol.

There you have it and if you didn’t already know what the symbol of a circled U stood for, now you do!

Video – Are You A Good Liar? This Short Test Will Reveal If You Are In Less Than 5 Seconds!

image via – youtube.com

There is not a person in this world who doesn’t lie sometimes.  Robert Feldman, a researcher at the University of Massachusetts, did research on lying in 2002, and found that people lied on average 2 to 3 minutes during a ten minute conversation.  That is somewhat astounding; most of us would never think that we lie with such ease!

Perhaps we lie in such subtle ways that we don’t even perceive what we are saying as an untruth.  However, if we consciously paid attention, perhaps we would find that this may be true, as lying comes in different forms.  We can lie through “commission”;

that is just boldly saying something that just isn’t true; those are the kinds of lies we are more conscious of.  You can lie by “omission; leaving something out is a another form of lying.  Last but not least, is telling a “half-truth”, leading the person listening to us to believe something that isn’t completely true.

Why do we lie?  There is the “white lie”, which we tell ourselves is necessary in order to spare someone’s feelings.  Less altruistic reasons are fear of punishment and wanting people to think of you in a certain light.  Lying is known to cause stress that can lead to anxiety and depression.

Being found out is a partial reason for the stress, but more consequential is going through life being inauthentic, for fear that you are not good enough as you are.  If lying dominates your life, you never really form healthy connections with others, which leads to true loneliness.

The exercise you will be asked to perform in the video below is a quick one.  Depending on how you do it, will indicate whether you are hyper vigilant  of how others see you, are highly invested in being the center of attention and tend to be a good liar.

If you perform the task differently, you tend to be an introvert and not good at lying.  A rationale is offered for this analysis.  Let us know if this interpretation makes sense to you and whether it corresponds to how you see yourself.

So, are you a good liar? Let us know!
