It’s always sad when an old tree dies on my property, that needs to be cut down…and the left-over stump can be an eyesore. Mimi and her husband faced this unsightly stump right in their front yard, after her husband cut down the dead tree.
The video you are about to watch below, was posted by Mimi, who came up with the most creative and charming idea for that unsightly stump. Luckily her husband is handy with a saw and woodworking, and was willing to implement Mimi’s adorable idea.
She takes us through the steps and exact inexpensive materials, that were purchased at Lowe’s hardware and the Dollar Store, that went into their creation.
Together they transformed an ugly stump into an inviting and adorable “Gnome Tree Stump House”, that adorns their front yard, and has incredible detail. It gives them pleasure each day and has been enjoyed by friends and neighbors alike.

Being a waiter is a difficult and thankless job. They work long hours and receive lower salaries and, worst of all, are often mistreated by both their fellow employees and their customers. One of the rules waiters have to follow is to “Always please the customer.” This can be incredibly difficult. However, it is necessary to get a good tip.
At a popular restaurant, a waitress was servicing tables as usual. She noticed a young boy come in and sit down at a table. Immediately, this annoyed the waitress. She knew just from working in the job for a while that most kids didn’t tip well. Still, she knew that she had to serve him.
As she approached the table, she hoped that she could take care of him quickly and then whisk him out the door. She placed water in front of him along with a menu. After consulting the menu for a couple of minutes, the boy questioned the cost of an ice cream sundae. She told him and he grimaced. It was clear that he didn’t have enough.
The waitress rolled her eyes. If he didn’t even have enough cash for a measly ice cream sundae, he definitely wouldn’t be leaving a significant tip. He ended up purchasing an even smaller single scoop ice cream cone. She brought the dish to him and he eventually left. When she looked down at the check, she was shocked.
She saw that he had given her a 25% tip. He had gotten a less expensive dish so that he could give her a good tip. She felt so bad for how she had treated him. She vowed never to judge people by their appearance or a trait ever again.

This Weird and Strange Potoo Muppet Bird Creature Has Been Filmed and Photographed In Daylight

Planet Earth is bursting with life, whether it’s in the deep oceans, top of the mountains or the Great Plains of Africa, life is thriving and adapting wherever it can. Scientists have made incredible and huge discoveries over the past 100 years that have changed and shaped the very fabric of how we look at life on planet earth. Whether it’s plants, animals, bacteria or fungi life can come in an infinite amount of shapes and sizes, while sometimes looking completely normal and other times looking very very strange.
In today’s article we are featuring one of these very strange and weird animals. When you first take a look at it you probably won’t even think this could possibly be a real thing. It looks like something Jim Henson would’ve created in the 70-80’s during the height of the Muppets. This odd animal actually looks more unique and strange than any of Henson’s muppets. When somebody first showed me it, I thought they were playing a prank to see if I would believe them or not. Turns out it wasn’t a prank and this strange animal really does exist!
So it turns out this animal is in fact a bird called the Nyctibius grandis or the more common name the Great Potoo. This weird bird can only be found in South America and sometimes Central America. The Great Potoo is a master of camouflage and is also nocturnal. So the chances of you seeing one during the day are slim to none!
They blend in so well with trees that they are often simply mistaken for branches on a tree. The Great Potoo hunts at night and eats small bats and insects under the moonlight. Just like owls, they are great hunters and do pretty much all of their eating at night. They are also known for their very distinct sound.
Unlike most birds that chirp, the Great Potoo makes a noise that almost sounds as if it was a dog barking! These birds are just amazing and I hope one day, maybe just maybe I’ll be able to see one in person! Have you ever seen one? Let us know!

Bic Pens were invented in 1949, and have been a “go to” for kids when they buy their school supplies, and adults when they need to buy some pens in bulk. However, very few people are aware that when these pens were designed, they included a potentially life-saving ingenious invention.
We all know how people in general like to bite on the ends of pens, and children in particular tend to do this mindlessly. A pen top could easily be inhaled and be choked on by children…but not the Bic top.
Have you ever wondered what that little hole is at the very top of the Bic pen top? If you never noticed and have one on hand, check it out. With great forethought that hole was put there to prevent children from choking to death!
That small hole allows air to go through, should the top be swallowed, which keeps the person breathing until the top can be dislodged. Because this invention was so successful, many other pen manufacturers have incorporated it into their designs, in order to save lives.

There is nothing more annoying than going to the other side of your house, and losing your WiFi connection, or having to constantly reboot your device every time you get further away from your router. I, personally, have been really irritated with this occurrence after spending money on a supposed WiFi booster.
There is still some mystique around the workings of a WiFi signal, despite the fact that it works exactly the same way that our cell phones and TV do…through radio waves. The video you are about to watch below is one of the coolest and most useful DIYs I’ve come across to date!
Not only does it explain in an easy to digest way, how information from the internet gets converted into a radio signal that allows us to access it on our devices, but provides a HACK to boost your WiFi with ZERO COST!
All you will need, for this easy-to-follow tutorial, is 1 or 2 empty beer or soda cans, a scissor or knife and some sticky “blue tack”. I’m not the handiest person in the world, and this was actually simple to do!! Best of all, after placing this over the antennas of my router, VOILA!
The signal away from the router was amplified so well, that all my devices get the same strength of WiFi connection, no matter where I am in my house!

Watch This Cat Have His Daily Morning Conversation With This Baby

Babies love to babble and make adorable noises. What, if anything, they may be trying to actually say is anyone’s guess because the sounds that come out of them are usually impossible to understand! In a similar sense the same goes for cats and the different meows, growls, purrs, and chirps they make. There’s no real way to truly interpret the meanings behind them.
While grown ups may be in the dark when it comes to what their pets and infant children are voicing, that doesn’t stop the two different species from having a little chit chat every now and then. Nothing could be more adorable than a baby and kitty have a full on interspecies chat!
A YouTube user named Lenny noticed that his young baby daughter and the family tabby cat were always having their own full length conversations. He captured one of their interactions on video to preserve the memory and thankfully shared the interesting and adorable clip online.
According to Lenny this doesn’t occur randomly, instead his daughter and the cat hold mini conversations regularly. Every day the pair happily babble back and forth, just like how you see them here in the video. They seem to get lost in their strange conversation and are oblivious to the world around them.
What’s most surprising about this clip is that the adorable tabby actually seems to understand exactly what the little girl is saying. The cat responds to her in kind with soft meows, making it seem as if they’re really engaged in an intelligible conversation. The kitty also stays close by Lenny’s daughter rather than walk off or stop replying, and follows her around as if it wants to keep chatting with her!

Bears and cats seem like they’d be natural enemies rather than natural friends. Based on size alone, any bear easily dwarfs a cat and while they both have claws, a bear claw can be anywhere from 1-4 inches long. If the two were to meet in the wild, one would assume the cat would run away while the bear would either pay the cat no mind or possibly chase after it. But as with most things in life, things usually don’t turn out how you would think they should..
When a little black cat wandered into Mauschen’s, an Asiatic bear, enclosure at the Berlin Zoo, everyone was naturally very concerned for the kitty’s health and wellness. The cat, named Muschi, was spotted sitting up in a tree sitting on a branch inside the bear’s habitat by an employee who went in to feed her. Soon zoo visitors noticed Muschi as well and it was only a matter of time before Mauschen caught wind of the little cat’s presence.
Everyone looked on helplessly when the 800 pound bear slowly began to make her way towards the tiny little cat. When Mauschen was close, the cat suddenly jumped down from the tree. What happened next defied the laws of nature and everyone’s assumptions about bears and cats, instead of attacking the kitty, Mauschen appeared to have welcomed her as a new friend!
The two furry black animals quickly became best friends and formed a very close relationship. For the next seven years they were never far from one another, so when the zoo decided to expand Mauschen’s enclosure and had to separate them, they didn’t take it lightly.
Zookeepers had to keep the cat out because other bears were being brought in and they might not like having her around. However, it soon became apparent that the best friends were not handling their forced separation well.
All night long Muschi would cry outside the bear enclosure and both animal’s health declined. They were depressed and it was heartbreaking to see how visibly upset they were. Rather than risk stressing them anymore, the animal odd-couple were reunited and free to live together again in Mauschen’s newly renovated enclosure. They quickly went right back to their old ways and were playing and cuddling in no time at all.

It’s a well known fact that cats are hard to please. They can be quite finicky at times, especially when they come across something new. They often have to sniff out and inspect everything that catches their kitty eye and quickly make up their minds in regards to whether they accept or reject whatever it is they’re scoping out! Honestly cats will probably remain a mystery till the end of time. The way in which the feline mind works is in my opinion something humans will never truly understand or comprehend.
This picky and choosiness has left countless feline owners frustrated and more than just a little bit exasperated! Lots of cat lovers have gone to extreme lengths in all but vain attempts to please and accommodate their fur babies. In the end it never really matters what you may assume or think they’d enjoy, it ultimately comes down to what kitty decides..
One man lost sight of this feline quirk and his cat named Philo reminded him of it in such a way that only a cute little kitty can! Brian had picked up a cat door at the store in the hopes that his little buddy’s life would be made easier and happier from it. Philo absolutely loves to go outdoors and roam around so one would think the easy access to the outside and having his own door would be something he’d welcome. So his owner purchased a cat flap and set about installing it.
After gathering all his tools, and cutting a hole in his door to properly install it, Brian was finally done a couple hours later. He was excited about the new pet flap and made sure to grab both his camera and the cat so that he could capture Philo’s reaction upon seeing it for the first time. As Philo makes his way towards the new opening Brian enthusiastically urges him to try it out.
As the cat nears the door he barely even glances at the new flap. You’d think he’d at least check it out and sniff around or paw at it but he he doesn’t, it’s like he could care less about the darn thing! Instead, Philo decides to use the actual door rather than his new cat door. The clever kitty stands up and balances on his hind legs then uses his front paws to pull down on the handle and crack open the door. Moments later he’s inside the house, leaving Brian behind wearing what’s most likely a look of disbelief on his face!
It appears that Philo never even needed his own door to begin with because he already knows how to open the actual door all by himself! Dad made the all too common mistake that cat owners are prone to, he failed to properly anticipate whether or not his cat would actually like or use the cat door. The only thing that makes all his hard work and the time and money he spent on the cat flap worth it is that if the door is ever locked, Philo can use his new cat door.
In the end, some cats are simply hard to impress. Note: If Video Doesn’t Play On Mobile Device, Tablet or iPad Turn Device Horizontal!

Pup Is Watching a Scary Movie. But Watch His Hysterical Reaction When The Scary Part Starts!
Watching a scary movie is hit or miss for most of us. You either love scaring yourself and cannot get enough of the thrills and chills that come from watching the flicks, or you avoid them at all costs because you suffer from nightmares and find the viewing experience traumatic!
Judging by one adorable Jack Russel Terrier’s reaction to a horror flick, the aforementioned sentiment appears to be true for dogs as well. The sweet little guy in the video is named Maylo and when his owner recently sat down to watch The Conjuring he jumped up on the couch alongside him to check out the movie.
At first Maylo seems to be really into the supernatural thriller, even somewhat captivated by what he’s watching. He can be seen staring at the television screen sitting propped up on his front paws with his rear legs splayed out behind him. He doesn’t move an inch as the camera pans from the screen to him and back to the TV, so we can follow what he’s seeing. When the camera returns to Maylo he hasn’t moved an inch, his focus is unwavering.
As the movie approaches one of the scariest parts, the camera focuses back on the screen for a few seconds. All of a sudden a beastly roar pierces the air and a hideous, demonic looking woman’s face appears out of nowhere. The shot is close-up and we see the frightful figure in all of her grotesque detail. The next time we see Maylo he’s hiding behind the couch pillows with his head lowered so he doesn’t have to look at the TV and see the scary lady anymore!!
The poor puppy was so spooked that he jumped up and even though his owner is laughing, he keeps on cowering, as if he’s unsure about whether or not the freaky lady is gone! Maylo’s reaction is too cute and proof that dogs can get sucked in and frightened by horror movies just like the rest of us. Nobody Believed Her When She Said What Her Dog Does When His Song Comes On. So She Caught THIS
Do you know that feeling you get, when you’re driving in the car and your favorite song comes on the radio? It brings you energy, feelings of pure, simple joy and you can’t help but perk up and belt out all the lyrics along with it!
It’s not just humans who react and feel this type of way upon hearing their favorite music, dogs do the same thing too. Take for example this gorgeous looking puppy dog named Oakley. He’s an Australian Shepherd who absolutely loves the theme song “Let It Go” from the animated Disney movie Frozen.
When Oakley hears the show tune come on over the radio his reaction is immediate and priceless. At first his ears wiggle just a tiny bit and noticeably perk up. Then he opens his eyes and lifts his sleepy head off his paws. The adorable puppy looks around all innocently before tilting his head back and letting out a howl! He looks like he’s in heaven and loving life. This may just be the sweetest thing you’ll see all day.
Oakley’s love for the the smash hit song “Let It Go,” as performed by actress and singer Idina Menzel who voiced Queen Elsa in the film, mirrors that of children everywhere. Even though the song only reached number five on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, in the hearts and ears of children everywhere it was number one.
So many little kids had become infatuated and obsessed with the song that journalists even started writing stories about the strange phenomenon. In The Boston Globe columnist Yvonne Abraham wrote that the song was like “musical crack” because it “sends kids into altered states.” After watching Oakley’s response, it also seems to have that effects on dogs as well.
