What This 17-Month-Old Toddler Screamed Out During His Adoption Hearing Left The Whole Court In Tears!

Children who don’t have parents usually end up in the “system” where they are passed around from adoption agency to foster parents until one day hopefuly they get their forever home. Unfortunately, millions of children all around the world stay stuck in the “system” until they are adults and never get to truly experience childhood in a caring, loving and stable environment. Mentally this can take a great toll on these poor kids as they carry this pain with them into adulthood and sometimes even for their entire lives.
The sad fact of the matter is most of these parentless kids never ever find that loving caring home and are forced to live a life nobody would ever want. For some very lucky few, there are good parents out there looking to adopt and raise children in a happy and stable home.
Sometimes these parents already have children of their own, so these adopted kids also get to experience life with brothers and sisters which can really help them get the proper socialization they need to become self-sufficient functioning adults in society.
In today’s story we will feature the Palmer couple Mandy and Tyler who spent close to a year and half proving that they were worthy, loving and good enough parents to adopt a very special child. The husband Tyler was had enlisted in 101st Airborne Division of the U.S. Army. After basic training, Tyler was immediately shipped off to Afghanistan to serve his country.
Tyler finished up his first tour and came back home to reintegrate into society as a civilian. Although, physically he was okay, being at war messed his head up and he needed time to recover mentally and emotionally. As he struggled through PTSD and his traumas he met a beautiful woman named Mandy. The two immediately hit it off and they could just tell almost immediately that they were soulmates.
Just like Tyler, Mandy had also been struggling with her own health issues and was suffering from Chrohn’s Disease, so being together as a support system made things easier for both of them.
But just as quick as they hit it off, Tyler was shipped back off to do his second tour of duty for the Army for 9 months. They wrote each other letters, video chatted called each other during the full 9 months and 4 weeks after his second tour ended he got down on one knee and asked Mandy to marry him. She said yes and within a month they were a married couple!
After they got married Tyler decided it was time for him to retire from the army, begin a new life with his wife and start a beautiful family. For many years they tried to have a child, but Mandy’s health problems stood in the way and they were unable to conceive. They tried and tried but nothing seemed to work at all. The sad truth finally settled in that Mandy would never be able to get pregnant because of her Chron’s Disease so they would have to try a different path to begin their family.
The looked at fertility treatments, surrogacy and few other options but finally decided that adoption would be the best path for them to take. You would think because there are so many children in desperate need of adoption that it would be a pretty simple and straight forward process however, due to Tyler’s PTSD struggles and Mandy’s health issues getting the go-ahead and approval as worthy parents would take months and months.
First they would have to get licensed as foster parents, where they could be tested to see if they were even capable of caring for a child. After tons of paperwork, training and tests they were finally approved after close to a year.
After they received their license to become foster parents they got a call that a week old baby named Hunter needed a foster home and they immediately said yes to taking him and caring for the infant first as fast parents and if all went well they could become his permanent adopted parents.
After they agreed to take in baby Hunter, they ran to all the baby stores bought everything they needed for his nursery and to child-proof the house and make it the best possible environment a child could ever have.
They knew in the back of their minds that at this point they were just his foster parents and another couple could end up becoming his permanent adopted parents but they didn’t care, they were determined to give this infant the best life possible!
Then their worst fear happened, another couple was scheduled to be Hunter’s permanent adoptive parents and they were absolutely devastated! With that being said, the couple wasn’t going to give up and would fight for custody of baby Hunter as hard as they possibly could. For months the battle raged on through the courts and nobody truly knew what the final outcome would be.
After 17 months, Hunter had gone from a few day old infant to a happy little toddler who loved Tyler and Mandy so much. They were of course the only parents he ever had and knew. Over that 17 month period they had to go from court to court to fight to truly become his permanent legal guardians.
Finally, 17 months in they were about to go to their final court date where the judge would make his final ruling on the future of the boy. Their whole family and all their friends went to court with them that day. The judge finally made it official and read out his legal and official new name Hunter Palmer!
Before anybody could even react to the amazing news, Hunter would scream something to his dad that would leave the entire court in tears…

The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star is easily one of the most iconic sneakers that the world has ever known. The original design featuring a canvas stitched upper portion, white laces and rubber toe caps has remained basically the same since it was introduced back in 1949.
Before then the sneakers had already been in production since 1917, which makes 2017 their 100th year anniversary. In fact, the Chuck Taylor All Stars are the oldest and most popular all-time best selling shoes ever. An astounding 60% of the American population has owned, or currently own, a pair of them at some point in their life.
Even if you are not in the majority who own the sneakers, chances are you know what they look like and have noticed the two small holes on the sides of them. The holes are seemingly random because many people do not know exactly why they are there or what they are used for. They do serve an actual purpose and Sarah Barlow explains it all and shows how to utilize them in the accompanying video.
The most obvious use for the holes is that they allow our feet to breathe more, especially if you’re not wearing any socks. Better breathe-ability reduces sweating and the painful chaffing and rubbing that leads to sore stinky feet.
The second and far less known purpose for the holes involves lacing shoelaces through them to give you a much tighter fit. The custom lacing technique is done in the following steps:
1. Unlace the top two sets of holes
2. Take a lace and pass it inside the shoe across and through to the outside of the first inner side hole
3. Thread the lace back into the second hole, the one nearest the heel side
4. Pull it up and across back to the regular top hole (opposite the side holes)
5. Take the remaining lace and pull that end through the same hole
6. Resume crossing laces as you normally would, which should leave one lace with only one cross over

They Adopted This Young Child No One Wanted. But 20 Years Later The Girl Looks Completely Different!

Being a person on planet earth is a pretty tough job regardless of where you come from. The everyday struggles that everyone goes through can take a toll even on the strongest willed people. Even when you are lucky enough to be born into a good family, with a roof over your head and food on your table life will still throw you curveballs that you will never see coming until it’s too late. However, consider yourself lucky if you are born without a congenital deformity, learning disabilty or any other hurdle that makes living that much more difficult. For those who are born with heriditary diseases or congenital deformities an already hard life becomes that much more difficult.
This brings us to today’s story about a special girl named Hannah who was born with a rare congenital defect called primordial dwarfism. Primordial Dwarfism is so rare that currently there are only 100 people out of 7 billion who have this rare disease. These people have the odds stacked against them from the start, they grow much slower than people without the disease and their life expectency is cut short to a mere 30 years. When her biological mother was told by the doctors about her daughters condition, she knew she wouldn’t be able to take care of her so she made the difficult decision to put up poor baby Hannah for adoption. Because of her condition pretty much nobody wanted to adopt her, knowing that the responsibilty of caring for a child with special needs is about 10x harder than one without.
After months and months of no one adopting her, a couple named Jackie and Larry finally came along, who took one look at Hannah and knew she was the one who would be their daughter and become part of their family! Young Hannah now had a full blown family with 1 big sister named Kelly and 2 big brothers Matt and Mark. The family was absolutely amazing and treated Hannah with extra love, care and affection. Her siblings loved her as well and treated her no different than they treated eachother.
When Hannah got a bit older she became aware that she was different than other kids her age and her parents wanted to be completely honest with her while at the same time letting her know that her condition didn’t make her less of a person than anybody else. In fact, they told her she was 10 out seven billion with Primordial Dwarfism and this made her a miracle child. On top of growing much slower than other kids her age, she also had other health complications, such as heart problems, aneurysms, small teeth falling out and needing implants, scoliosis and worst of all polycystic kidney disease which inevitably could lead to her kidneys completely failing. However through all of this she persevered with grace and bravery.
After a few years, Hannah was school age and ready to begin her education at the same school her siblings went to. Even though she required special care due to her complex health issues, the whole family was determined to not make her feel like an outcast and give her a normal and ordinary childhood. However, school wasn’t easy for her because kids can just straight up be cruel. She was made of fun of, laughed at and mocked. But over the years, this only made her stronger and stronger as she overcame adversity after adversity. Also, her older siblings were very protective of their little sister and if they ever caught wind of bullies being mean to her, they defended her and always had her back no matter what!
With all of this going on, her adoptive mother needed a kidney transplant and somehow Hannah was a match to be a donor for her mom. Hannah decided that because her mom had pretty much saved her life she would do the same and give up one of her kidneys to save her mom’s life! Hannah is not only brave, beautiful and strong she is also a hero that we can all learn from!

This Life Hack Is The Simplest Way To Get That Nasty Ice Off Your Windshield and Stairs With This Winter

Along with the cold weather, there are a number of special challenges that winter brings along with it, and we all have to just deal with them. Dry skin, chapped lips, stuffy noses, darkness at 4PM, winter storms, the list goes on and on. One of the most annoying things by far is clearing walkways and driveways of snow and ice. The same goes for cars, but while you can often drive through a little bit of snow, you can’t with an ice-covered windshield. Not only is it illegal to drive with an obstructed view, it’s also insanely dumb and extremely dangerous!
While defrosting the car and scraping ice off the windshield seems like a necessary evil, it doesn’t have to be. You really don’t need to wake up extra early just to stumble around in the freezing cold darkness so that you can drive to work. Instead, you can save yourself some time and energy by doing the following:
In a spray bottle container mix together 2 parts isopropyl alcohol with 1 part water and then add in 1 tablespoon of liquid dish soap. Shake it up, spray it directly onto an icy windshield, and watch the ice literally melt away right before your very eyes!
This rubbing alcohol spray is the perfect thing to have on hand for freezing cold mornings and icy windshields. You can leave the bottle in your car and it won’t even freeze, unless it gets well below zero. That’s because the freezing point of isopropyl alcohol is -128.2 degrees Fahrenheit, so when you spray it on the ice, it doesn’t freeze up. Instead, it helps to melt the ice and keeps it from re-freezing. Since all you have to do is mist it on, it’s by far the quickest and easiest way to clear a windshield that’s coated with a thick layer of ice.

Time is like that, you know, always sneaking around and hiding things, only to pop them back up again at weird intervals that only the strangest among us can even begin to decipher. By the time you’ve noticed that you’ve noticed that something has begun, its end is approaching at a rate of acceleration beyond comprehension.
How can anyone hope to gather themselves enough for the harsh blow of the inevitable slumber? But we live on, and we learn. We learn to forget, and we forget to learn again. Beginnings start, and endings finish, only to arise anew.
Maybe, just maybe, through the extravagant richness of experience offered by the Nature that surrounds us, we will come to deeper understanding of our intrinsic experience of infinite perfection and continuity with all existence.

A Mother Gives THIS Homeless Guy an Extra Slice Of Her Pizza But When She Realizes Who He Is She’s Stunned!

Homelessness is an epidemic across this country and the rest of the world. There are millions of people out there who don’t have a home to go back to, a roof over their heads, a warm plate of dinner or a nice cozy bed. They live in treacherous conditions in extreme cold and heat as they try to survive in anyway they can. A lot of times people fall into hard times by no fault of their own, things snowball out of control and before they know it they are out on the streets and homeless.
They go through the trash for food, beg people walking past them on the street for some spare change just so they can eat something before they fall asleep on the sidewalk. Many people in cities are so used to seeing homeless people, that they have almost become invisible.
Day after day people in the city walk past them and it has become such a common site that they are almost numb to it. They feel by not acknowledging their existence they won’t feel guilt about walking right passed them without a second thought. The whole situation is so heartbreaking and there really is no easy answer to solve this terrible epidemic..
In today’s story we feature a mother named Karine Gombeau from France who had been on a trip to New York City for a few weeks. Like many tourists who visit New York City she was just exploring the vast city taking in all the amazing sights of Manhattan. After a while she got hungry and stopped off at a great pizza place to get some of that world famous New York Pizza which is the best pizza in the world (according to many).
She got a small pizza pie and ate a few slices at the place. She got the rest of the pie boxed up to go, and headed back to her hotel. On the way back, she spotted a homeless man who was scouring through the garbage to fill his empty stomach with some kind of food. She immediately felt her heart drop and she felt the need to help him. The only problem was she had no spare change or money in her purse just a debit card..
That’s when she realized she had some leftover pizza and she knew she had to offer the poor homeless man some food. At first she felt kind of bad that it was all she had to give, but at least it was something and he wouldn’t have to go to bed hungry. She gave him the food and actually apologized to him for it being cold, but he was so happy he didn’t mind one bit. He thanked her and blessed her as she walked off back to her hotel.
She went to sleep that night and didn’t give too much thought to her encounter with the homeless man and the pizza. The next day she did some more tourist stuff and exploring and nothing seemed out of the ordinary. She headed back to hotel again and fell asleep after another long day of walking. The next morning she woke up to something she would never expect in her wildest dreams!
There was a headline on the front page of the paper with a picture of her giving that pizza to the homeless man on the street! She couldn’t believe it and she also couldn’t understand how giving a homeless man some pizza was newsworthy. That’s when she realized who the homeless man was…..

I’ve Used Tape Measures A Million Times But I Never Knew What This Little Hole Was Used For!

Even if you are not the handiest person around, you definitely have used a tape measure in many different circumstances. There are things about a tape measure that you may have wondered about, but never thought to ask.
Even if you haven’t wondered about these characteristics of a tape measure, the tricks that you are about to see in the video below, are well worth your time. Leah, of “See Jane Drill”, offers some invaluable tricks that the tape measure is capable of, that I, for one, am thankful to learn about.
When I have been alone doing measuring for various things, I have found it difficult to handle the tape measure myself. Leah’s tutorial will show you four invaluable tricks when using a tape measure alone.
She points out that all tape measures have these four features that will make your life easier. The first is the little slot in the middle of the metal end of the tape…it turns out that it is a “nail or screw grab”!

THIS Picky Pup Refuses To Eat Her Dry Food But Her Dad Comes Up With THIS Unexpectedly GENIUS Trick!

Man’s best friend has just a few simple needs in life and they all revolve around eating. Whether a dog is playing, cuddling, or sleeping, when they hear the sound of dinner being opened and prepared, they come running. Some of the more voracious pup’s appetites appear to have no limits and they will scarf up any and all treats or food scraps thrown their way, then continue on to eat grass, rocks, and whatever else they come across.
In direct contrast to these hungry dogs are the rare few who have very weak appetites and are extremely picky eaters. This type of dog doesn’t get all that excited around dinner time and when a bowl of food is placed under its nose, it doesn’t dig right in. Instead, they sniff their meals hesitantly before pushing the morsels around a bit and maybe they take a few bites, then walk off unimpressed.
When a dog lacks an appetite or is just not at all interested in their dinner, what’s an owner to do? It’s definitely concerning, we all want whats best for our canine companions, and one man who was faced with this exact problem came up with an ingenious solution.
YouTube user Delaypat explained that he’d been having feeding issues with his dog Luna who falls on the very picky side of the eating spectrum. No matter what he did Luna would not eat and he tried all kinds of approaches to feeding her.
He offered her different types of food and presented it in all sorts of unique ways on plates and bowls before he finally found a method that worked. It turned out that Luna, a sweet and calm Golden Retriever, prefers to have her meals home cooked before she tucks into them.
The video Delaypat uploaded of their daily feeding ritual is quite impressive. In order to get Luna excited for dinner he first prepares her bowl of food and then calls her over to the kitchen. Once she’s present the show begins.
The bowl is placed in the oven, which is never actually turned on, and the timer is set for one minute. As her food “cooks” he excitedly remarks to Luna about how her dinner is almost ready, building up her anticipation to eat. Once the oven timer goes off the food is finally ready to be served.
That’s when Luna finally shows her excitement as she prances around while licking her lips, keeping her eyes on the bowl while trying to sniff at it. The moment it’s placed on the floor in front of her she digs right in.
There you have it, one truly excellent way to trick a picky dog into eating!
