Video – Apparently If You Throw a Giant Bucket Of Dry Ice In The Pool THIS Happens!

Dry ice has been used in many interesting endeavors and the hunks of frozen carbon dioxide never cease to amaze us. While it’s most widely known and used for keeping perishable food items frozen during transit, that hasn’t stopped inventive humans from incorporating it into everything from school science projects to chemotherapy, rockets, bug removal, fire extinguishers, fog machines, removing skin tags or moles, and so much more.

While the majority of these alternative types of uses play a specific role and serve a higher purpose, some dry ice tricks are simply for fun and entertainment. That’s exactly what this video of dry ice being tossed into a swimming pool is about; good old-fashioned fun.

The interesting concept was dreamed up and brought to light by one of YouTube’s most hilarious personalities, the Crazy Russian Hacker. He’s full of cool ideas and whether it’s conducting random experiments, testing out new gadgets, or sharing his favorite life hacks, he’s always up to something wild and strange.

For this particular project he decided to see exactly what would happen if thirty pounds of dry ice were dumped straight into a backyard swimming pool. Long story short, it’s pretty awesome!

The clip opens with the Crazy Russian hanging out poolside with an empty cooler, a pair of insulated gloves, and several bags of dry ice. He gets right down to it and starts breaking up the ice blocks into smaller chunks over the empty cooler.

Since his motto is “safety is the number one priority” he works with gloves on both hands to protect his skin against dry ice burns. Once the container is full of dry ice he picks it up and dumps it directly into the pool!

As soon as the dry ice hits the water it immediately reacts and the pool begins to bubble up. The warmer water in the pool starts to melt and break down the ice and soon a dense, thick white fog drifts off the surface before being carried away in the breeze.

The combined effects make it look as if the pool is boiling and you can hear the water bubbling as all of the gasses get released. In the background you can hear the Crazy Russian Hacker commenting on how “beautiful,” “amazing,” and “awesome” it is. He’s hilarious and might be just as entertaining as the dry ice in the pool!

If you’re thinking that dumping 30 pounds of dry ice in a pool may be dangerous, it’s not but only if the proper precautions are taken. Above all else, the one thing you should never do is handle it with your bare hands. Always use insulated gloves because they will prevent hands and skin from getting injured and/or burned by frostbite which occurs on contact with the stuff.

One more thing to keep in mind is that if you plan on breaking it up like how the Crazy Russian Hacker did in the clip, make sure to use protective eye wear as well. I think we can all agree that it’s always best to be safe than to be sorry! Here’s more on the science behind dry ice and what it is:

Dry ice is super-frozen carbon dioxide, which is the gas we exhale whenever we breathe out. It forms when carbon dioxide is exposed to extreme temperatures of at least -109° Fahrenheit. At that temperature or lower it changes from a gas straight to a solid and there is no liquid phase whatsoever in-between.

The inverse of this immediate change also happens to be true of it, so when dry ice melts it goes from solid to gas. That is why and how it produces the cloudy, fog-like effect that it’s known for.

Now that you have seen what thirty pounds of dry ice does to a swimming pool you can try it yourself, should you ever need to! It’s the perfect way to make a pool party memorable and everyone will love the cool, hypnotic effects. Plus, it’s highly likely that no one has ever seen anything quite like this done before and so they’re going to remember it forever.

Mom Was Filling Up The Pool When Her Baby Got Splashed and Started Crying. The Reason Is Scary!

Summer officially starts on June 20th but much of the country has already experienced extremely high temperatures, especially in the Southwest region which is currently in the midst of a heat wave. Cities all across America will soon all be under the heat of a long summer,

When the thermostat is soaring people turn to all sorts of different things to beat the heat. They stay indoors and out of the sun, crank the air conditioning, drink lots and stay hydrated, and play in the water. Nothing cools you down faster like jumping in a pool can and floating around in the refreshing water is just about the most relaxing thing you can do on a super-hot day.

Residents in and around Phoenix, Arizona, aka the hottest city in America, know the simple joys a dip in the pool can bring. About a week ago Dominique Woodger, a mother who lives in San Tan Valley, Arizona, decided to set up a small kiddie pool for her 9 month old baby boy.

It was extremely hot outside and she thought her son would enjoy a nice cooling dip. She took him outside with her, grabbed the garden hose, and started to fill the pool up when she heard her son crying.

She told the local news station KNXV that at first “I thought he was crying because he was mad. He hates when he gets sprayed in the face.” However, after checking on her baby to see what was the matter she was shocked to find that his tiny body was covered with red, blistering skin. Realizing the seriousness of the situation she rushed him to the hospital where she later found out he’d suffered second-degree burns on over 30% of his body.

The water from the garden hose that Dominique accidentally sprayed on her son was what caused his burns. When a hose sits in the sun and the temperature is 115 degrees outside, close to what it was on the day Woodger’s son was injured, the water inside of it can reach temperatures as high as 150 degrees.

According to Phoenix Fire Department Captain Larry Subveri, it takes only about 10 seconds of exposure to waters at that temperature for a person to develop second-degree burns, and for a young infant, even less time.

Woodger is speaking out about what happened to her son in order to warn others about the hidden risk and to urge parents to be extra careful when turning the water on outside in the heat. Water trapped inside the hose can easily become super-heated and most people don’t stop to think about this, or even realize it, before it’s too late.

Test the water temperature first before letting any young children near it, and please pass this warning along to help spread the word. Stay safe!

Hidden Camera Caught This Cat By The Pool. But Wait Till You See Who Sneaks Up Behind Him!

This clip perfectly captures three well known characteristics that cats often display:

1. They are very curious creatures!
2. Felines are easily spooked!
3. They really hate getting wet!

The home surveillance video from a camera overlooking a backyard swimming pool caught a little black cat staring off into the water. The kitty was perched carefully at the edge of the pool, completely focused on the task at hand, and appeared to be mesmerized by something in the water.

Seconds later he is joined by another black cat who strolls into view. The second kitty notices his brother is looking intently at something and heads over to check it out. His presence, still unknown to the first cat, startles the poor little guy and he suddenly freaks out, jumps up, and falls right over the side into the pool! The soaked cat wastes no time in clawing his way out of the pool and back onto dry land before bolting off to safety far away from the water.

The moment clearly shows that if there’s anything that almost all domestic cats universally hate, it’s getting wet. They seem to go absolutely nuts whenever they have to take a bath or end up in the water. Some cats even loathe getting their paws just a little damp, never mind having their fur completely soaked. Felines are also naturally curious animals who are known to become easily frightened, hence the term “scaredy cat.” The two hilarious kitties in this short video are no exceptions to the rule, check out their hilariously adorable antics and share this with the cat lovers in your life who would appreciate the clip!

This Pup Has The Cutest Freak Out In Her New House When She Notices THIS Strange New Thing Outside!

Moving to a new home can be exciting and terrifying all at once, especially for our animal companions. A new house is full of strange smells, unfamiliar sights, and sometimes even new rules, like no going on the couch or upstairs. Our pets often need a little extra time and space to process and become accustomed to their new surroundings.

Then, once they settle in after a bit, it’s as if they’ve always lived there. It’s always interesting to see how animals approach and explore their new digs, especially dogs. They are quicker and less cautious than cats and when it comes to sniffing out every single nook and cranny they come across.

Where cats run and hide under furniture, dogs run and jump straight into the new pool. Well maybe not all dogs, but that is exactly how one adorable puppy named Christy reacted when she saw her new house had an in-ground pool in the backyard. When the happy, snow white West Highland Terrier caught her first glimpse of the pool all her attention immediately was focused on gaining access to it.

She spun in circles, jumped up on the screen, and barked in delight at the awesome new upgrade in her life. Her little tail was wagging back and forth a hundred miles an hour and when the door was finally opened she bolted outside and went full speed straight ahead right into the pool.

Christy didn’t hesitate even slightly and jumped right into the water like a champion. The excited terrier looked like she was on cloud nine as she swam around happily in her new pool, nipping at the water. She paddled over to the stairs, got out, and ran to the other end of the pool to jump in and do it all over again.

After watching Christy’s reaction, it’s safe to assume that she will be one happy puppy in her new home. Now that she has a pool to go swimming in whenever she’d like, she’s probably already forgotten about the previous place she used to live in.
