This Guy Felt A Bite On His Arm But Didn’t Think Much Of It. He Went To Bed Woke Up and Saw THIS

At first, Alex Beer, a thirty two year old man from Kent, UK didn’t realize anything was wrong. Thinking it must have been due to an allergy, he brushed off worry and hoped it would get better, but the severity of the situation dawned on him as his arm quickly swelled, expanding at an alarming rate. Alex had been bitten by a false widow, the most infamous spider in all of Britain, and as you will soon see for yourself, his condition worsened to the point that he rushed to the hospital.

Upon arrival, it was discovered that his kidneys were rapidly failing and without prompt medical intervention the results would be grim. Fortunately for him, he was able to make it in time, and the skilled medical professionals were able to save not only his arm, but also his life! He had to stay in the hospital for nearly two weeks to bring his kidneys back to nominal function, and the damage to his arm was extensive, but with careful intervention they were able to help him on to the road to recovery.

For Alex, that road is not yet complete, but it seems he is through the worst of it. During his stay in the hospital, he underwent multiple rounds of intravenous antibiotics and saline. He did not know when he had been bitten and has no knowledge of the bite, but the presentation of his symptoms make the False Widow the likely culprit.

There are very few spiders in the world whose venom carries any threat for humans, but it would be wise to calmly look up which species of venomous spiders live in your area so that you are able to quickly identify them and stay out of their way until they can be safely moved to a new location. If you do not corner them or threaten them in any way they are unlikely to bother you, and the non venomous spiders are very helpful, it is not nice to hurt them.

Man Claims He’s Filming The Homeless & Their Pets. But What He Is Really Doing Stuns Everybody!

When Tom Mabe of Prank It FWD decided to make a documentary on the homeless and their pets he came across a heartbreaking story of a man and his dog. Tom started off by contacting Beth Green who runs a local non-profit called My Dog Eats First in Louisville, Kentucky. The charities mission is to provide food, supplies, and medical care to the under served, homeless people, and their pets. After spending some time with the volunteers and homeless Tom decided he wanted to do more than just observe and film!

When he learned that a man who had been living out of his truck had surrendered his dog of 12 years because he needed to go to the hospital, Tom teamed up with Beth to help. The man, Ricky, was told by doctors he had less than 6 months to live.

Against their wishes he left the hospital to be with Buddy again, whom Beth had with her to ensure the two would not be separated for long. Ricky and Buddy were each others best friend and loyal companions for the past 12 years, which was Buddy’s whole life. When times were rough Ricky would make sure Buddy was fed even if it meant going without food himself.

After he checked out of the hospital Beth put Ricky up in a pet friendly hotel for as long as she could afford. When the funds to do so ran out Tom decided to get them their own apartment and made sure it was comfortable and furnished with all the essentials.

He took Ricky to see the place and surprised him by revealing that it was all for him and Buddy. The happiness and gratitude from the news lit up Ricky’s face and Buddy wasted no time in checking out the bed. After years of living in a truck the two now had a large warm place to call their own!

Wanting to do even more, Tom and Prank It FWD ended up giving Beth and My Dog Eats First a years supply of dog food from Halo, plenty of leashes, and a top dog award of recognition for all their work. Tom also came away from the whole experience with a completely new understanding of the homeless and their animals.

The pets give those who are less fortunate a sense of responsibility, unconditional love, friendship, and a purpose in life. Everyone deserves those things and the story of Ricky and Buddy shows just how much their lives were further enriched through their friendship. The love and devotion they share for each other is clear, especially when Buddy looks up and nestles his head into his owner’s side.

If You Notice This Beautiful Purple Thing On The Beach This Year Run Away Immediately!

Anyone headed to beaches along the eastern coastline this summer is being advised to keep a lookout for any Portuguese man-of-war both in the water and on the beach. The jellyfish relatives have been found washed ashore on a number of popular beaches, with the most recent sightings around the Charleston and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina areas.

As beautiful and exotic as the Portuguese man-of-war may appear, it poses a big risk to human health and wellness. The sea creatures look like pretty blue or purple tinted bubbles floating on the surface of the water, and have long, dark purple tentacles hanging down off them.

The tentacles are what makes the Portuguese man-of-war so hazardous because they’re full of venom and highly capable of delivering a very nasty and painful sting. They should be avoided whether found in the water or on the beach because even days after being washed up on shore they can still sting, no matter how long dead they may appear to be.

A sting from one can cause a number of reactions including painful red welts, cardiac distress, fever, shock, an allergic reaction that can lead to trouble breathing, paralysis, and possibly even death in extreme cases which are thankfully rare.

If you ever have the misfortune of being stung by one, seek professional medical treatment and do not pee on the area! Contrary to popular belief, doing that will only make it worse and instead you should use a cold compress to help relieve the pain and swelling.

While the floating bubble-like marine creatures are commonly referred to as a type of jellyfish, they are actually what is known as a siphonophore. Whereas jellyfish are single multi-cellular organisms, siphonophore are colonial organisms.

They are made up of many different individual animals that are interconnected and work together, yet are still capable of surviving independently. This type of physiological makeup is why the tentacles are still capable of stinging even after they become detached.

The accompanying New Jersey TV news clip covers more interesting facts and information on the Portuguese man-of-war and what scientists, beach patrols, and lifeguards are doing about them.

The news report from Long Beach Island featured the story a few summers back when they were washing up on shore more frequently than usual, which already seems to be the case this year as well. Check it out for more details and if you ever happen to see one of these things in the water, get out immediately!

Nobody Believed Him When He Described His Chipmunks A.M. Ritual So He Caught THIS On Video

One of the most refreshing and feel good things that you can do in the morning is stretch. After sleeping all night, in who knows what kind of odd positions, your body tightens up. There is just something nice about a long, invigorating stretch that makes it ten times easier to pull yourself out of bed. Cats have long practiced this form of mindful wakefulness and always flex their bodies promptly after waking up or moving around.

However, Grumpy Cat and his fellow kitty friends can step aside because now there is a new animal favorite rising online. His name is Bikke and he is an insanely adorable chipmunk who hails from Japan. Everything about this tiny guy, from his chubby cheeks down to his furry little tail, exudes cuteness!

There are a total of 25 different species of adorable chipmunks. They are known for burrowing underground and making cozy little nooks to live in. Sometimes they live above ground in small trees and shrubs. During the winter like many other mammals they hibernate with all the food they stored up in their cheeks. Most hipmunks tend to live and do their food gathering alone. When communicating with one another they make a high pitched bird-like chirping sound. One thing is for sure, chipmunks are totally one of most adorable little forest critters around!

People the world over are sure to fall in love with Bikke once they see him do his morning stretches. A clip of the fritter shows him releasing a big yawn as he simultaneously stretches his legs out behind him and his arms in front. As he begins to loosen up he snuffles around on the bed and comically twitches his nose. When doing his movements he drags his legs around behind him while pulling his body along with his front claws. Over and over again he yawns, pulls himself along, twitches and repeats.

It is as if he cannot quite wake up from his nap and needs to keep on stretching. He even appears to have developed a new form of stretch technique which has never been seen before. He invented the downward facing chipmunk!! Without a doubt the whole scene qualifies as a cuteness overload moment.  I really could watch this little fella all day long. He is a non-stop source of adorable entertainment.

This little chippy sure has a great life as evidenced by his very own YouTube channel, bikke the chip. Videos show him stuffing his cheeks until they’re fat with food, watching cartoons, and playing around with his mini-house set. This little guy is sure to brighten up your day and put a big smile on your face! His chubby little cheeks and his morning routine make for an instant internet classic hit! His human friends clearly love and adore him, and so do we! If you are feeling a bit down, this should instantly cheer you up. Make sure you watch the adorable video below all the way to the end.

They Were Just Filming The Water. What They Caught At :09 Seconds Is A Once In A Lifetime Moment!

Whale watchers often have to be very patient while hoping and waiting to get a glimpse of these magnificent creatures. They may have the pleasure of enjoying a beautiful spot, such as The Bay of Fundy, that sits between Maine and the Canadian provinces of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. However, tourists come here for more than the beauty.

On the Atlantic coast, this bay is known to be the habitat for more than 12 species of whales. This increases the likelihood that whale watchers won’t be disappointed in their quest to actually see one. Despite the fact that this spot inhabits all these whales, it still remains the “luck of the draw” as to whether tourists will actually be privy to a sighting.

On this particular day, these whale watchers got the view of a lifetime! Luckily what they saw was captured on video, which allows all of us to enjoy this literally breathtaking appearance. A massive humpback whale, unbelievably close to their boat, flew into the air! The sight was both startling and completely exhilarating!

I hope you enjoy what you are about to see as much as I did. This was the best video I have seen all week. I hope one day I’ll be able to witness something even close to this in person!

Guilty Dog Gets Caught By His Mom For Knocking Over The Trash. What He Does Next Is Hilarious!

Dogs love getting into garbage cans because there are usually tasty treats in them, and most always do it when no human is around.  “Man’s and Woman’s Best Friend” do it over and over, even though they like pleasing their owner…the question is why?

When you watch this adorably funny video of Matzo being found in the vicinity of the overturned trash, it sure looks like he is guilty…but is it really guilt?  Melissa walks into the kitchen and questions him, in a half stern, half amused voice (actually giggling at times).

Melissa can’t help but laugh, and so will you, when you see the sweet dog’s reaction to the confrontation.  Many dog pros say that the seemingly guilty (and funny) reaction to dog mischief like Matzo’s, really has more to do with understanding he has displeased Melissa.

In actuality, he doesn’t make the association as to why, unless he were to be caught in the act and reprimanded.  The delicious enjoyment of the scraps in the garbage always keeps him going back to do it again, even though he doesn’t like being scolded.  So, I guess you could say Matzo feels guilty, but he has no idea why!
