He Begins Cutting Potatoes In A Strange Shape Then Puts Them In A Pan. When He’s Done YUM!

One of the most popular and versatile food items that’s readily available and can be found at virtually any local grocery store is potatoes. Just like corn, rice, and wheat, potatoes rank among the world’s top grown crops and most widely consumed foods.

They are easy to whip up and a simple potato can be transformed and prepared lots of different ways. They can be served hot or cold and people love them mashed, baked, fried, hashed, steamed, chipped, and so on.

This recipe uses a combination of frying and baking to cook potatoes into a golden, delicious perfection. It’s super easy and unless your European, chances are you may not have heard of it yet. They’re called fondant potatoes and in the dead of winter when it’s freezing cold, they hit the spot. Here’s how you make them:

You’ll need russet potatoes, butter, vegetable oil, chicken stock, salt and pepper, and thyme (optional). Begin by cleaning and cutting the ends off the potatoes. Take one and turn it up on end before carefully slicing down the sides to remove the peel, as if you were skinning a pineapple, so you end up with an octagonal-type shape.

Cut it evenly in half and then slice up the rest before soaking them in a bowl of cold water for 5 minutes and pat them completely dry with a paper towel. Heat about two tablespoons of vegetable or grape-seed oil in a skillet over high and place the potatoes in when the oil is hot enough and appears shimmery.

Lower the heat to medium-high and cook for about 5-6 minutes, or until browned, and sprinkle salt and pepper on top. Flip them over and blot the tops with a paper towel, then place a lump of butter and a few sprigs of thyme in the pan.

Spoon some melted butter over the tops and sprinkle more salt and pepper on. When the butter starts to brown up, pour ½ a cup of chicken stock in the skillet and place that in a preheated 425 degree oven.

Roast it for 30-35 minutes or until the potatoes are thoroughly cooked all the way through and are tender on the inside. Drizzle any leftover thyme butter over the tops and allow them to cool before serving.

If you follow the recipe above, you’ll end up with beautiful looking oven roasted potatoes that are creamy on the inside and browned, crusty, and golden shelled on the outside. Let your taste buds tingle and try them tonight, bon appetit!

There is no better comfort dessert on these cold winter days, than those that are warm and fill your home with that perfect scent of cinnamon and apple.  The video you are about to watch below, shows you how easy it is to make these inventive “APPLE PIE CUPCAKES!”

The key words here for me are EASY and DELICIOUS.  You will need: flour, brown sugar, walnuts or pecans, butter, 4 Granny Smith apples, a tube of Cinnamon rolls and cinnamon.  The cinnamon rolls get flattened into a greased muffin tin.

After the cut up apple pieces are tossed in a frying pan and cinnamon added they are used to fill the cinnamon rolls and then topped with a combo of mixed flour, brown sugar, nuts and butter.  I would suggest you fast forward to see the finished product at the end of the video; it will inspire you to follow the recipe and enjoy this delightful dessert!

He Takes Potatoes Slices Them Into Thin Layers And Puts Them In A Muffin Pan. When It’s Done YUM!

There’s a right way and a wrong way to go about doing practically everything, and then there’s all the ways that fall in between those two opposite extremes. The awesome cooking idea shown in this video falls somewhere in the middle and makes you think outside the muffin tin.

In it the YouTube Home Cooking Adventure channel shows us how to use the bakeware for cooking up something other than traditional muffins. Instead, it features a novel way to use the tin to bake delicious Parmesan potato treats that your whole family will love and appreciate.

These are the perfect accompaniment for dinner instead of the same old baked and mashed potatoes we’re all used to eating. Below is a list of ingredients and instructions on how to prepare them:

Ingredients: (Serves 4-6 people)
– 3 tablespoons of melted butter
– 2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese
– 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
– 1 teaspoon of thyme leaves
– salt and pepper, to taste
– 8-10 gold potatoes, sliced very thin
– muffin tin (with 12 cups)

Instructions:
First, preheat the oven to a toasty 350° Fahrenheit and grease or butter up the muffin tin. Place all the potato slices in a large bowl and pour the melted butter, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, thyme, and salt and pepper. Mix them all together so that everything is nice and evenly coated.

Take the buttery slices and place them into the muffin cups, making sure to stack and layer them as you go. Pop the muffin tin in the oven and bake for approximately 55-60 minutes. They’ll be done when the top and edges turn golden brown.

They will be super hot, so after you remove them allow them to sit and cool for at least a couple of minutes before serving and if you’d like, sprinkle a bit more salt and pepper or Parmesan cheese on top.

These potatoes will be yummy and crusty on the outside and tender and delicious on the inside. They’re great on their own or as a side with steak, chicken, and basically anything so try them out this weekend!

This Woman Places Flour Into A Dish Of Ice Cream And Mixes It. But When She’s Done YUM!

This heavenly sounding recipe for cookies n’ cream flavored ice cream bread may sound too good to be true, but it’s real and it’s delicious. With just two simple ingredients you can whip up a tasty loaf of your own ice cream bread and this quick, easy to follow recipe is sure to please all types of palettes.

Children will love that it’s made with the sweet treat and any sane adult will want to try it for themselves just as much, if not more, than the kids! Most breads can be tricky to make and are time and labor intensive projects that require exact measurements, kneading, rising, resting, and so on. This bread is the complete opposite of those types.

Instead, it is simple to make and requires little time on your part. Also, if you have an old carton of ice cream laying around uneaten in your freezer, that perhaps didn’t live up to your taste-buds expectations, you can use it up here instead of letting it go to waste.

To begin, start by taking the ice cream out of the freezer beforehand so that it thaws to a smooth, creamy consistency. You are going to need 2 cups of ice cream and may use any flavor you desire. In the video, by CookingwithKarma, cookies n’ cream flavored ice cream is used and according to the comments in the discussion under the clip this is an excellent, very well-liked choice.

Place the thawed ice cream in a bowl and sift 1 ½ cups of self-rising flour over the top of it. This is also the time to add in any extras that you may want to bake into the bread, such as chocolate chips or nuts. You can get as creative and fun as you’d like, maybe add sprinkles to the batter to make it pop with color or swirl in chocolate sauce to marbleize it.

Furthermore, if you don’t have self-rising flour simply add 1 ½ teaspoons of baking powder to regular flour. Once all the ingredients are in the bowl mix it all up and pour it into a bread tin. Heat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, slide the tin in, and bake for 40-45 minutes. When it’s done and has cooled off, serve with fresh fruit or warm it up and drizzle on chocolate sauce, caramel, or perhaps a scoop of ice cream.

Really anything will compliment this sweet, yummy bread! Enjoy the recipe and watch the video below for detailed instructions!
