Ear infections can wreak havoc on our health and wellness. They often end up creating terrible and debilitating pain that for some people is chronic and lasts days without end. Children in particular are prone to developing them and it’s heartbreaking having to see your child suffer through the throbbing aches and pains.
Instead of enduring an earache or visiting the doctor, try this age old self-healing trick. It’s called “the magic salt sock” and all you needs is a clean, plain, all white, cotton sock and about 1½ cups of coarse sea salt. Pour the sea salt into the sock before tying it up and closing it off with a knot.
It’s vital that you use these exact two “ingredients” since no alternative versions of them will be nearly as effective. If you fail to use a plain cotton sock that is completely all white, and instead go with one that has even just a colored line on it, you’ll likely end up melting or even burning it.
There is something in the coloring which makes them highly flammable, so be aware and use caution. The sea salt also matters because of the larger sized, more coarse granules it comes in and its ability to retain heat. Regular old table salt won’t work and will just seep out of the sock, so don’t substitute it in place of the sea salt!
The next step is to warm up a skillet over medium-low heat before placing the salt sock in the pan. Allow it to heat up for about 4-6 minutes and every minute or so flip it over and shake it up so that it heats evenly all the way through. You’ll know the sock is done when it’s very warm to the touch, but not so hot that it might burn you.
Finally, all you have left to do is place the heated sock over your aching ear, making sure that it also rests on the area behind your jaw. Sit back and relax as the salt works to alleviate the aches and pains, while simultaneously helping to draw out any toxins in the ear. It’s that simple!
This is one of the best ways to naturally and effectively decrease any discomfort or inflammation in the ear that’s causing you pain. In addition to its natural healing properties, warm sea salt is also antiseptic and can draw out any moisture that may be in the ear.
Furthermore, the magical salt sock can be reused many times safely and effectively, but it will eventually discolor and you should replace it when it becomes worn, dirty, or old. Putting a cup or two of sea salt in a sock, warming it up on the stove, and placing it over your ear may be just the thing your body needs to feel better.
It’s cheap, all natural, and can be done in the comfort of your own home. Many people have found soothing comfort and relief with this simple remedy and if you ever have an ear ache or pains, give it a try and see if it works. The Monks Are Trained To Remain Silent. But When They Lift Their Hands Everyone Can’t Stop Laughing!

In early to mid December many schools, churches, and other centers of education across the country put on their annual Christmas programs. Groups of children and adults who have been practicing and rehearsing all sorts of songs, skits, and plays take center stage and perform for their communities.
The holiday themed programs center around various aspects of the different holiday celebrations, from Hanukkah and Kwanzaa to Christmas and beyond. Many of them stick with traditional time honored editions of well known classics, such as Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol. In contrast, others choose to offer more unique and uncommon takes on the Christmas season.
One group of high school students decided to take the road less traveled for their annual Christmas program and it turned out to be a hit with the crowd, and even the world. The all students hail from Port Orchard, Washington where they are part of the South Kitsap High School’s vocal music program.
They imagined how monks, who had chose to take and live their lives under a vow of silence, would put on a Christmas concert. The answer they dreamed up is shown in this video of their performance and it’s quite creative, amusing, and hilarious all at once.
In it, they re-create the beautiful song “Halleluia” without even uttering a single word. Instead, they line up across the stage dressed in plain robes and hold up cards with the lyrics on them, flashing them in time with the instrumental music. They really thought outside the box and ended up putting on the performance of a lifetime!
The video has racked up millions of views ever since it was posted online. It’s stuck a chord with many who view it as a refreshing take on the boring old Christmas songs and plays that get recycled year after year. Groups of people from all around the world have copied it and some have added their own twists to the skit as well, but this one is the original.

Apparently I’ve Been Wearing Earrings Wrong My Entire Life. I Had No Idea!

Those of us who have pierced ears, have all bought earrings with posts, that have backs which have a plastic piece surrounding the metal. I don’t know about you but I am shocked to find out that this piece is not part of the design of the back of the earring.
Personally, I thought it was added to balance the earring in the ear…didn’t everyone believe this to be the purpose? Evidently I was wrong, as were all the people I know, whom I asked about this.
It’s purpose, in fact, was created to keep the back of the earring from being lost in the packaging before being sold! Once you have bought the earring the plastic circular piece is intended to be removed before wearing the earring.

Thanks to a photo posted on twitter by a woman named Chelsea Smith, the truth has been revealed! Ok, I’m laughing…but I am really glad to know this, as the plastic always felt bulky and uncomfortable. Watch the video below to see how to properly remove it.

This Bird Adopts An Egg From The Supermarket. But What Hatches Is The UNTHINKABLE!

The last thing anyone thinks about when they pick up a carton of eggs from the supermarket is that one could possibly end up hatching. Store bought eggs supposedly come unfertilized and in America they’re found in the refrigerated section. Even if one were somehow fertilized, without consistently warm temperatures, the cold would end any chances of life.
However, that string of logic did not play out in Japan when a girl brought home a carton of quail eggs. As it turns out, in Japan eggs aren’t refrigerated. Instead they’re sold at room temperature and can last up to a week or more because they have a layer that naturally protects them, but nevertheless they’re still unfertilized.
Which makes YouTube user Luna Angel’s story all the more mysterious. She says that she grabbed one quail egg from the carton and gave it to her parakeet, Pi-chan, to see what she’d do with it. The pretty bird’s motherly instincts took over right away and she roosted atop the egg keeping it warm and safe as if she had laid it herself.
Not long after, the egg miraculously and unexpectedly hatched and out popped the cutest, tiniest, and most adorable baby quail ever! The little fuzzy baby bird was named Yuzu and she can be seen in the accompanying video clip. She looks so sweet and innocent, especially since her black and yellow feathers make her look like a little fuzzy puff!

I Was Confused When He Poured A Full Glass Of Salt Down The Drain. But The Reason Is BRILLIANT!

Salt is a common mineral which can be found all over the Earth. It can also be found in practically every kitchen and household in the world and it’s a mainstay we use to flavor and preserve foods. However, there are lots of different uses for salt that extend far beyond seasoning dishes.
This video covers some of the most helpful salt hacks out there, be sure to check it out because somewhere down the line these will likely come in handy! If you ever find that your iron has something sticky, gooey, and gross melted onto the bottom of it, try this simple trick to clean it off.
Set the iron to hot, grab a sheet of wax paper and sprinkle a layer of salt on top, then rub the iron back and forth across it. The salt picks up the residue and causes it to clump, leaving behind a clean iron. Eggs can be a real pain to clean up and if you ever drop one accidentally simply pour salt over the runny mess and wait 10-15 before cleaning it up.
The salt turns the liquid parts to gel so that when you wipe it up it stays together and doesn’t drip or run all over the place, saving you a lot of paper towels in the process! Another cooking salt hack involves dangerous grease fires which cannot, and should not ever, be put out with water.
Pouring water on a grease fire simply makes it worse and you want to smother the fire, not spread it. One of the best ways to put it out is by pouring salt directly onto the flames, thereby cutting off what’s fueling the fire, oxygen, and extinguishing it immediately.
If you have pots and pans that are all dirty with caked on, burnt crud, salt can help clean them up. Coat the bottom of the pan with a layer of salt, add a little water, wait 10 minutes, then wipe away the mess and rinse it off. In similar fashion, salt can also clean grease and burnt crud off of a dirty sponge.
Place 2 cups of water in a small container, dissolve in ¼ cup of salt, submerge the dirty sponge and allow it to soak overnight. The next day all you have to do is remove the sponge, it should be clean and back to being usable.
One of the hardest areas of the bathroom to clean is the stains on tubs and sinks. This method for cleaning them is a little harsh, but extremely effective. You’ll need a pair of rubber safety gloves and proper ventilation, so open a window and be cautious handling the solution.
Mix together equal parts turpentine and salt, about a cup of each is recommended, then apply the solution and undissolved salt to a sponge and use it to scrub the stains. After about a minute you should begin to notice the spots disappearing and when you’re done the bathroom will be shiny and clean.
While you’re cleaning the tun, if you have a clogged drain, salt can help you clear it up. First, remove as much of the blockage and hair as you can before combining ¼ cup of baking soda with a ¼ cup of salt. Mix it up and pour it down the drain, then pour about a ½ cup of white vinegar down right after, and watch as it fizzles up.
Let this sit for at least 15 minutes while it works to eat away at the clog. Meanwhile, bring a pot of water to a boil and when times up pour it directly down the drain to clear out any remaining clog.

There is nothing better than delicious tasty treats, all the incredible sweets are here in our lives to satisfy our sweet tooth with enticing and delicious yummies. Everyone loves cookies, and traditional gingerbread, but there is nothing better than a really spectacular cake that just screams festivity!
What you are about to watch in the video below, is a tutorial for one of the wildest cakes you have ever seen. It starts off looking like a big mess and ends up as a work of art! It is named, “Rainbow Drip Candy Cane Cake”, brought to you by “Cookies, Cupcakes and Cardio”.
Not only is this cake a feast for the eyes, almost too beautiful to eat, but it tastes even better! You will need: Candy canes in all different sizes and colors; Clear and light blue rock candy; Vanilla Cake Batter; Royal Icing and Vanilla Buttercream. The batter gets separately colored into red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple and white, and then follow our great baker as she shows us how to put this together.

If Mom Makes The Shot Her Kid Gets Half Off Her Tuition. Mom Misses But Watch The Ball Closely!

Half court shots are extremely difficult to make, even for professionals and people who have spent a fair amount of time practicing them. That’s why they are often used as hurdles to clear in order to win a big prize.
The average person would be very lucky to make such a shot, which is often made even more difficult by the fact that a large crowd of onlookers is watching very closely. The odds are so stacked against the shot taker that it almost always guarantees they’ll miss it, yet it’s inevitable that a few lucky ones somehow manage to sink the basket.
Angela Ramey was one of the lucky ones. Her and her nine year old daughter Grace won a school fundraiser after they pulled in the most money for Kids Against Hunger, a charity which helps serve local food shelters.
Their reward was the opportunity to take a half court shot that if they made would win them a free half a years worth of tuition to Grace’s school, Bethany Academy.
Both mother and daughter tried, and failed, to make the shot before Angela was given a third and final attempt at it. Footage captured the moment she lined up with the basket and let the ball fly, à la granny-style. Sadly, it appeared to have sailed through the air and came up short as the ball landed on the ground.
At that point just about everyone in the gym, even Angela, thought it was over…but it wasn’t. The ball continued on after it hit the floor and bounced straight up and over the rim into the basket! Nothing but net!
The crowd went wild and Angela did a double take before Grace and her started happily screaming in excitement. What a fantastic shot and everyone’s reaction was just as entertaining. Perhaps in this case karma played a role.
According to the local news, the school collected more than 40,000 meals in the food drive, with Grace and her mother leading the way. All their hard work, dedication, and good deeds came back around to reward them in kind.
