A Teacher Asks Her 3rd Grade Students THIS 1 Question. Their Unexpected Responses Are Heartbreaking!

A good teacher is attuned to her students needs in a really unique way.  Since they spend approximately six hours a day with their class, in elementary school, they get to wear many hats when interacting.  At times other than the teacher hat, they take on a parental role and other times a friend with good listening skills.

Kyle Schwartz is a third-grade teacher who cares very much about the kids she teaches.  Her students are primarily of Hispanic background, whose parents are the working poor.  She wanted to provide an outlet for these children to confide in her about personal things, without feeling ashamed or put on the spot.

Kyle came up with a writing exercise that would allow them to express themselves, anonymously, if they wanted to. She asked them to complete the sentence: “I wish my teacher knew…”.  The responses that she received were quite revealing of the turmoil they experience everyday in their young lives.

She posted some of their answers on Twitter  without their names.  It is heart-wrenching to hear such young children carrying overwhelming emotional burdens. This exercise gives us all a window into the lives of children who feel neglected or abandoned.

Such unburdening can be very helpful in starting a conversation that can both support children and parents.  It was quite a wake-up call for this new teacher.  Let us know your thoughts and feelings after viewing the video below.

Sneaky Twins Don’t Know They’re On Hidden Cam. They Notice Mom’s Watching Then An Unexpected Hilarious Surprise!

The special bond that twins share has been well-documented, beginning with their time shared in the womb and continuing throughout their lives.  They are so fortunate to experience a lifetime of closeness; from the moment they enter the world they are blessed with a best friend.

We have watched many movies, in which twins come up with all kinds of fun secrets and plans, as they romp through their childhood together.  You expect to see that kind of behavior as they mature.  In this video, two adorable twin girls in cribs, are being watched by their mom on the baby monitor.

Standing in their cribs giggling and “baby bantering” past bedtime, Miya and Keira, are suddenly surprised by mommy Judy’s voice coming through the monitor.  These tiny “partners-in crime”, immediately have an identical response, that made me laugh out loud!  Enjoy this adorable moment.

This Woman Places Crayons In a Hot Glue Gun. The End Result Is Surprisingly Awesome!

If you have ever had kids, or even just lived with them, then you likely have an abundance of crayons somewhere in the house. The colorful wax sticks are a childhood staple and it’s easy to see why. They are inexpensive, widely available, non-toxic, and less messy or permanent than paint and markers.

They also never become unusable or dry up, and that’s part of the reason why they usually end up in a box that is put away and forgotten. But not anymore! This fun art project will give you a reason to pull those old crayons out of storage and put them to good use again.

It involves making a cool, vibrant, colorful work of art out of melted crayons. All you really need is a cheap hot glue gun, a sturdy piece of canvas or paperboard, and some crayons of your choosing. Don’t use a nice or expensive glue gun because it will end up ruined and won’t be salvageable.

Also, make sure the canvas material you use is not flimsy because it needs to be able to hold up thick, melted crayon wax and if it bends the wax is more likely to break off of it. Before you start any painting set up a work area and put a drop cloth down because this can get very messy.

Plug in the glue gun and when it’s nice and hot feed a crayon stick into it. Pull the trigger to release the melted crayon and squirt it onto the canvas wherever you’d like it to go. You can drip the melted wax on, spray it, flick it, or try to paint with it in a more controlled fashion.

When your done with one color, grab another stick and repeat the process until you are satisfied with your masterpiece. This fun project is the perfect activity to do with kids, family, and friends. However, make sure to supervise young children at all times and don’t allow them to handle hot glue guns because it can be very dangerous.

The possibilities are endless with this type of project and you can make custom art for any room in the house. Go a step further and add on additional touches to make it even more fun, such as glitter, different paints, a picture or collage background, and so on. It’s not only a great way to use up old crayon pieces, but also a nice way to spend an afternoon making art and bonding with your kids!

Twins Start Playing A Strange Song On The Harp. But Once It Gets Going An Unexpected Surprise!

I, for one, have never been a fan of Metallica’s sound; heavy metal just isn’t my thing. However, I would never have imagined that underneath all the aggressive musicality of Metallica’s classic single “One”, lay a piece of musical writing that had complex textures and layers of expression that are masterful.

YouTube identical twin harpsists, Camille and Kennerly, reinterpret and create a classical arrangement of “One” that brings us some otherworldly music. Their magnificent instrumental skill reveals music that is reminiscent of the Renaissance. They have arranged the piece as a  duet.

They use their harps as not only ethereal string instruments, but use their feet and hands to create percussive sounds against the wood. This magnificent and original video appears to be set in some kind of ruins. This combined with their elegant costumes bring us back to a majestic period of music, illuminating the aura of the haunting melody of Metallica’s piece.

These sensational musicians have helped to change my opinion of the musicality that can underly the heavy metal genre. The video is truly magical. Watching these beautiful women perform was mesmerizing.

They at once caress the harp, while seeming to dance on and through them, as they intricately unfold a musical arrangement that will leave you wanting more. I hope you enjoy this uniquely stunning performance.

This Little Cube Looks Strange From The Outside But The Inside Will Blow Your Mind!

Have you ever dreamed of living in a penthouse apartment? Living high up above a city on top of a building would give you an amazing view of everything below, and much more natural light would shine in your windows.

For many, the expensive cost of such a space keeps them from ever living the top floor lifestyle. However, there is an alternative solution to that issue thanks to Werner Aisslinger. He is an architect who designed the Loft Cube, a compact living space that can be easily added onto an existing rooftop, or wherever your heart desires to live.

Aisslinger’s Loft Cube design stemmed from his vision to create a rooftop community after he had looked out over the city of Berlin and noticed all the empty, flat space not being used on top of the buildings. What he came up with was an idea to build a compact space which could easily be added onto any existing rooftop. That idea manifested into the Loft Cube, an affordable, sleek, and modern living space.

The incredibly neat and compact design measures in at a total of 430 square feet. That small footprint holds all a person needs at a price most everyone can afford, they start at around $40,000. Not only are the spaces modern and sleek, they are comfortable and fit almost all the amenities found in much larger spaces or homes.

The cube can be built on location in as few as 5 days, and it can be disassembled and removed just as easily in even less time than it takes to build, 1 day. There is no need for a foundation because it rests on 4 legs, which are adjustable to accommodate uneven surfaces or ground. It’s basically a portable house and can be take and set up practically anywhere.

The interior of the cube is comfortable and divided with adjustable panels into 4 separate areas, a living room, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. The entire home is built to be self-sufficient since it is portable and off the grid. Everything from the air conditioning to the entertainment system is built into the cube and controlled by a master panel with the touch of a finger.

If your thinking that since the cost is so low then they must have skimped elsewhere, they didn’t. The built in appliances are quality, high end pieces and all of the fittings and minute details are meticulous and exact. The Loft Cube is a durable high tech home, and it was both designed and made to last a lifetime.
