Bride kidnapping is a real thing in some parts of the world. It occurs when a man abducts and captures a woman who he wishes to marry. In Africa, it is most prevalent in the country of Ethiopia and even though it’s criminalized, and the legal marriageable age is 18 years old, many cases involve forcing a minor child into a marriage.
When a 12 year old girl from Ethiopia’s capital city, Addis Ababa, was abducted by seven men, her family knew she was the victim of bride kidnapping. They contacted the local police and began searching all over for her, but when a week went by, she was still missing. They knew the odds of them finding her were against them and were growing more hopeless and worried by the day.
The young girl had been secreted away to a hiding place by her captors who beat her repeatedly. Since their plan was to force her into a marriage with one of them, they knew the girl’s family and authorities were looking for them, so they chose a very remote place well off the beaten path. However, it proved to be one of the worst spots to hide out at because they were actually encroaching on a pride of lion’s territory.
When the lions nearby heard the young girl crying, they responded to the sound and came right over to her. A group of three big cats showed up and when the men who were holding the girl captive saw them, they got scared and ran off! The lions seemed to stand guard over the girl and protecting her from harm. They didn’t try to attack or hunt her down, rather they simply sat nearby and kept watch.
While many people who heard about the lion’s behavior think it was a miracle of sorts that the girl wasn’t attacked, there is a reasonable explanation for the seemingly odd occurrence. According to wildlife experts, the lions most likely heard her crying and mistook it for that of a lion cub mewing. That triggered an instinctual response to protect her and is why they approached her to see if she was okay and didn’t try to eat her. It’s also why the men were scared off. While just the sight of three lions would be enough to send them running, the lions would have also seen them as the threat they were and attacked them.
Whatever the reason may truly be, the lions saved the little girl’s life. They stayed by her side guarding her for half a day until her family and police arrived. Once they saw that she was safe, it’s like they knew their work was done and they simply walked back into the forest and disappeared.
According to police, four of the men who kidnapped her were captured and arrested, they are still searching for the remaining three. Though the girl was obviously traumatized by her ordeal and taken to the hospital to be treated for cuts and bruises that she sustained from the beatings, she was found and reunited with her family. If not for the lions, that probably would never have happened.

After a new mother had just given birth at a hospital in Sao Paulo, Brazil, she took one look at her baby and left, never to be seen or heard from again. She abandoned her newborn son because he didn’t look like a normal child and perhaps she did not have the means necessary to raise and care for him right.
When a nurse came in to check on the new mother and child, she found the room empty and the two day old baby all alone. As she unwrapped his blanket she gasped aloud in horror, the boy had no limbs. The baby had been born with Hanhart Syndrome, a medical condition marked by partially missing toes and fingers, malformed jaws and tongues, or underdeveloped limbs. While it’s relatively rare, with one in twenty thousand babies affected by the disease, in this case it was severe, and the baby had no arms or legs and now no one to care for him.
He ended up at an orphanage and was put up for adoption, but the outlook seemed bleak. Whoever raised him would have to take on a more responsibility than usual as he required a lot of specialized attention and medical care.
Thousands of miles away Janelle Adams was shopping when she saw a picture of the little boy. She was immediately drawn to his photo and his story touched her heart to the point that she knew she wanted to adopt him. Soon afterwards her and her husband, Ron Adams, traveled to South America to bring the little baby home with them to Kaysville, Utah. They named him Gabe and once an orphan, he now had 13 new brothers and sisters to call family!
While life was tougher than usual for Gabe, he did his best to not let it get to him. He tried to live as normal as was possible and learned early on to use a wheelchair and be independent. His parents pushed him to overcome every obstacle in his way and today he can text, write, shower, dress himself, and do everything he needs to. He’s modified those everyday tasks that people take for granted so that he’s able to take care of himself, but it hasn’t been easy.
High school is hard for just about everyone but for Gabe it was extremely tough. Other kids were cruel and bullied him constantly about his appearance, it made him an easy target to pick on. He would cry a lot and changed schools his freshman year, but after a year away he decided to return.
Gabe felt stronger and more confident after his break and when he went back to the school he’d left, he opted to join the dance team. He had always loved dancing as it gave him new ways to move his body and kept him active. When he was twelve years old, he had secretly taught himself how to dance and soon everyone found out that he was able to break dance like no one else could!
After joining the dance team Gabe competed in a competition where he placed second and is now turning his focus on pursuing a career as a motivational speaker. He wants to share his story and experiences with people around the world and help inspire others to live their best lives. He’s living proof that nothing is impossible so long as you keep trying and never give up.
While his life has been marked by hardship early on, Gabe is thankful that he was given a second chance when he was adopted by the Adams. However, they too are just as thankful to have him in their lives and instead credit him with rescuing them. By simply just being himself and pushing through challenges, he has left them inspired and bettered their lives in ways they never knew wee possible.

THIS Teen Breaks Her Back When She Jumps Off The Pier To Save a Little Kid By Doing The UNTHINKABLE!

Anyone can be a good Samaritan, all you need to do is act selflessly to help someone else out, especially a person who is in distress. They are the people who react naturally to try and save others in emergency situations and who don’t hesitate to lend a helping hand. Nineteen year old Hanna Pignato is such a person and once you hear her story, you’ll understand why she fits the definition of a good Samaritan.
Hanna had been waiting on tables at around 7 pm while working at Joe’s Crab Shack in Daytona Beach, Florida when she suddenly heard a woman screaming outside. She headed out of the restaurant to see what the matter was and realized the woman’s young son was struggling to stay afloat in the water. A rip current had knocked the 8 year old off his boogey board and was taking him out to sea, yet despite all the people who were on the crowded beach, no one seemed to be willing to help.
Hanna sprang into action and ran down from the rooftop deck to the Main Street Pier below where she handed off her apron and phone to a customer. Without hesitating she jumped off the pier into the water below, she didn’t even stop to think, and when she reached the bottom all she could feel was immense pain and pressure. Unbeknownst to her, the spot where she had jumped from was right above a sandbar and she’d landed in less than three feet of water, causing her to break her back and foot. Despite the waves of pain washing over her, she still tried to swim towards the boy and didn’t stop until she saw someone else come to his rescue.
At this point it was now Hanna who needed to be rescued, she too had gotten caught up in the rip current and her broken foot and back were making it nearly impossible to swim. She was thankfully rescued from the water and immediately taken to a nearby hospital. After examining her injuries the doctors told her the terrible news; she had broken the top of right foot, her right heel, and had fractured her lower back in three places.
Despite her selfless efforts to save a young boy she didn’t even know; she was now facing the sad reality of her situation. Hanna would be unable to work or even move much for the next couple of months and her medical bills alone were over $75,000. She didn’t have health insurance and on top of that she lived in a third story walk up. Her friends started a Go-Fund me page to help cover, or at least offset, the costs and she’s grateful for whatever help she can get.
In the end, Hanna says she has been awed and amazed at the overwhelming messages of love and support she has received from people all over the world who’ve heard her story. All she was trying to do that fateful day was save a child who needed help and despite what happened to her she doesn’t regret it, and that’s why she’s a good Samaritan.

THIS U.S. Soldier In Line At Taco Bell Stops Dead In His Tracks After He Hears 2 Kids Talking Behind Him!

Soldiers sacrifice a lot to keep our country safe. They train tirelessly and are sent on deployments all over the world in some of the toughest, most dangerous places on Earth. That’s why they’re taught to be disciplined, self-sufficient, and strong. Sometimes they even go beyond the call of duty when looking out for others and Lt. Col. Robert Risdon Jr., a U.S. Army Ranger, happens to be one of those men.
The father of two is stationed in Georgia where he’s the head coach of the Columbus Lions, the Fort Benning football team. He had been travelling through Alabama after watching a practice for an upcoming Senior Bowl game on a cold, rainy day with his co-coach Jason Gibson when the pair decided to stop off for a quick bite to eat at a local Taco Bell. After ordering their food they sat down at a booth to eat when two young boys came into the restaurant.
The boys looked tired, cold, and were soaking wet after being out in the storm. They had come to Taco Bell to try and sell homemade desserts to raise money for their church and had figured the dinnertime rush was the ideal time to so. They went up to Lt. Risdon’s table and asked him if he’d like to buy any of the treats that they had for sale but since he only had a credit card and no cash on him, he politely declined.
However, seeing that the boys were clearly cold and hungry, he asked them if they’d eaten dinner yet. The nine and twelve year old kids told him they had not and so he told them he’d buy them some tacos and sodas. Upon hearing this awesome news the boy’s smiled and immediately perked up. They all went to stand in line and after they got their food they sat down together to eat and have a nice little chat.
Lt. Risdon didn’t know that while he was in line with the boys, his co-coach Jason Gibson had been recording the good deed. He thought it was wonderful that his friend was looking out for the kids and being so thoughtful. When they got back to the base, he posted a clip online and soon people everywhere were sharing it and loving the simple act of kindness.
As for Lt. Risdon, he was taken aback by the reaction and told the Huffington Post “I’m kinda embarrassed and humbled by the praise and don’t need it. I am a believer that we live in the best country in the world with the best people and that acts of kindness happen every day.” As a father of two, his heart naturally went out to the young boys and he simply wanted to help them out . Since he couldn’t buy their homemade desserts, he bought them dinner instead.

Jimmy Asks Celine Dion To Impersonate Michael Jackson But When She Starts Dancing Everyone Loses It!

There is no question that Céline Dion has had an epic career and the success she’s achieved is truly impressive. The Canadian born singer has won multiple awards, including 5 Grammys, and sold hundreds of millions of albums across the world. While practically everyone has heard “My Heart Will Go On,” which is her most popular hit and the main theme song to the blockbuster film Titanic, she has a string of other number one songs and chart topping records!
Through all of the fame and fortune she has nonetheless managed to remain relevant and adored, as well as incredibly grounded. Her natural talent and personality really shines through here in this clip from when she appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. If you’ve ever watched the late night talk show then you know how Jimmy loves doing fun bits with his guests. Sometimes they do sketch comedy or play games, but dancing and singing is definitely one of his stronger talents.
Naturally when Céline Dion appeared on his show he would choose to include a musical segment and what they ended up playing was a little game known as the ‘Wheel of Musical Impressions.’ The concept of the game is very simple, a song and an artist are generated at random and both Jimmy and his guest take turns doing their best impersonations of whatever tune pops up, in the style of the artist chosen.
The first song that Céline had to sing was “Frère Jacques” in the style of Cher. While most people would be at a loss for words, like the true professional she is, Céline nailed it perfectly. She sounded just like Cher, didn’t hesitate for one second, and gave it her all! The next song that came up was “One Dance” which Jimmy hilariously sang as Micheal Jackson with Céline on backup vocals.
After that came the tune “Row, Row, Row Your Boat” which Céline had to perform a la Rihanna. Really feeling the beat that the band, aka The Roots, gave her, Céline had to stand up for this one. As she launched into the her impersonation of Rihanna her performance was spot on! She even threw in a little dance with some booty shaking which had everyone in hysterics at around the 3:00 mark. Jimmy was so taken aback by it that he couldn’t help but laugh and smile as he tried to stick with the bit.
For the next song was Jimmy was up and he had to sing like Johnny Cash to the song “C is for Cookie.” Finally, Céline’s last impersonation was of Sia to the song “Hush, Little Baby” and she, once again, turned in a performance that was spot on. Today’s story features a unique and amazing little girl named Primrose from China. Primrose is a very special girl who was born with a very disease called congenital glaucoma. This rare disorder ended up turning Primrose’s eyes light blue to silver. For the first 2 years of her life her rare disorder went completely untreated and the poor child was in severe pain. On top of having this eye disorder which left her blind she also was born with a hearing disorder.
In China, her mother abandoned her because of her strange disorder and she ended up at an orphanage. The poor girl was now alone with nobody at an orphanage in the darkness and she could hardly hear a thing. At the orphanage for some reason they wouldn’t let her drink a bottle and basically neglected her. As Primrose suffered in the orphanage in China, a couple Erin and Chris across the world in the United States was on Facebook scrolling through their newfeed and randomly saw a post about this poor sweet neglected child.
Erin’s heart had completely broken as she read Primrose’s story and found out everything she could about the little girl. Something inside her gut, told her Primrose deserved a better life than this and she was determined to be the person to make it happen. Erin her husband and their children flew to China to meet Primrose and they planned on adopting her.
When they got to the orphange things were even worse than they thought, she was quickly deteriorating, had a high fever and had no strength left in her little body. They weren’t even sure she would be able to make it back to America on the planebecause she was in such bad shape. Somehow she pulled through got on the plane and made her way back to the USA with her new adopted parents brother and sister.
The little girl had never known love, never knew what it was like to be comforted and never knew that there were people out there that would actually take care of her. When she arrived back, due to spending her life being neglected she had a lot of trouble adapting to a new home and love. Slowly she has begun to regain her strength, they got her out of 3rd world hospitals and got her the care she desperately needed.

Fishermen On This Boat Spotted What They Thought Was a Seal But They Approached It and Got a Closer Look!

When a group of crab fishermen set out in their boat one summer day, they never could have imagined what they’d end up catching. It all started early on a June morning when the crew, Mallory Harrigan, Cliff Russell, and Alan Russell, were cruising off the coast of Labrador, Canada. Due to an unusually large amount of sea ice, they’d been unable to set out any earlier and were running a little later than expected. Despite the delay, it was business as usual and they busied themselves setting up all the fishing gear for the day ahead.
They had set a course for a small town on the coast of Newfoundland and Labrador called Pincent’s Arm where they planned to fuel up their boat, The Northern Swan. It was while they were enroute to their destination that they spotted something strange up ahead on a mushroom shaped piece of ice that was floating in the middle of the ocean.
Being four miles out from the nearest shore, they assumed it must be a seal at first. However, they noticed that a bunch of seagulls were circling the animal and if it was a seal it would have slipped back into the water to avoid the pesky birds. They motored closer to get a better look and soon realized that they were actually looking at an arctic fox that had become stranded on the small piece of ice! He must have been looking for food when the ice broke apart and ended up floating out to sea before he could get back to land.
Knowing that it faced certain death if they didn’t get it off the melting iceberg, the crew decided to rescue the poor fox. Naturally they hesitated, being that the fox was essentially a cornered wild animal, it could potentially lash out at them. Even so, they decided to take the risk because they were his only hope for survival.
They first tried coaxing the fox onto the boat, but he was too timid and afraid to even get close to them. They soon realized that the only way to get him was to break the ice he was on so that he’d fall in the water and from there they could scoop him out with their dipnet. After they broke the ice, the fox tried to swim away but he was already exhausted and weak from not eating or sleeping, so the crew didn’t have to wait long before they were able to scoop him up and onto the boat.
As soon as the fox was safely on board he scurried over to a corner and curled up into a ball. The fishermen tried to feed him some crackers they had, but the fox wasn’t interested. Shortly afterwards they’d reached Pincent’s Arm where they set about making a bed for the fox out of sawdust and fish pans. Their goal was to get him warmed up and dry, and once the fox settled into his new bed, he fell asleep right away.
While the fox slept the group went about their business before heading home to William’s Harbor. Hours passed before the fox finally woke up and when he did, he was thirsty and hungry. He was also relatively tame; he must have sensed the people were only trying to help him.
After he ate a tin of Vienna sausages he perked right up. The fishermen monitored him and once they decided that he could go off and survive in the wild they released him. His new home was on a small island in the harbor which had been used to house sled dogs in the past. There were old dog homes he could use for shelter and plenty of small animals and birds for him to hunt. After they re-homed the fox, they said he ran off to explore and that they still see him every now and then chasing after his dinner!

Employees Kick THIS 92 Year Old Grandpa Out Of The Bank! But The Cops Bring Him Back To Finish The Job!

When cops responded to a call about a man causing a disturbance at a local Bank of America branch, they didn’t quite know what to expect. They knew the man was very upset and had refused to leave the premises, but that was about it.
When the first responding officer at the scene, Robert Joss, stepped inside the bank he was surprised to see a 92 year old man at the counter arguing with the teller. He was angry and confused because he simply wanted to withdraw money from his account, but they wouldn’t allow him to do that.
It turned out that his identification card had expired and, in accordance with bank policy, they were unable to allow him to make any transactions. The man simply did not get that even though all his information on the ID was correct and the photo matched, he still couldn’t use it since it had expired.
Officer Joss asked the elderly man to accompany him outside and headed towards his patrol car. He opened the passenger side door and told the man to get in because they were going to the Department of Motor Vehicles to get him a new ID card. The man happily obliged and once they got to the DMV Officer Joss told the manager the story and expiration issue. The elderly man was then allowed to renew his ID right away so that he could get back to the bank as soon as possible and before it closed.
With his new ID in hand, Officer Joss brought the man back to Bank of America where he was finally able to take out money from his account. Afterwards, the two went their own way but all around town people had taken notice of the good deed. The Montebello Police Department soon caught wind of what their officer did and decided to share the story in a Facebook post on their page along with a picture of Officer Joss and the man at the DMV.
