Most people think about what their dream house would be like if they had unlimited money and funds to build an incredible house. Many people want a mansion, maybe a penthouse in the city, or a beautiful place right on the ocean. Others have less dreams of grandeur and feel more comfortable with a simple and less extravagant dream home such as a small cozy log cabin in the middle of the woods..
This brings us to today’s story featuring Richard Aiken Age 65, and referred to himself as a ‘hillbilly’ but Richard probably isn’t what you think when you hear that term. Richard was married, had kids but on top of that had not 1 but 2 PhD’s.
He was an avid writer and author multiple published books, a mathematician, he sang opera and on top of all that, he was good with his hands and was a very skilled carpenter. With all these amazing accolades Richard did feel like there was one part of his life that contained a huge pit or void in the center of his soul.
Ever since he was kid, Richard dreamt about having an old cabin in the woods, away from the hustle and bustle of life in a city or even a small town. Just the thought of peaceful, quiet and relaxing nature brought warmth and solace to his soul. An old friend of his had one day mentioned to Richard that he had a really run down and delapitated cabin the middle of no where and he was trying to get rid of it.
Finally, as if a Genie granted him his final wish, his dream of a cozy cabin in the woods was now coming into fruition. His friend was so ready to wipe his hands clean of the old broken down cabin that he offered it to him for free! Richard insisted that he couldn’t possibly take it for free, he reached into his pocket, pulled out $100 dollars asked him if a $100 dollars seemed reasonable and his friend quickly took his offer.
For a measly $100 dollars Richard was the proud new owner of a broken down, old, dilapidated, dirty and pretty nasty cabin in the middle of nowhere! The cabin wasn’t only old, it was actually pretty dangerous at the time of purchase, the roof had caved in, the floors were destroyed and the walls were crumbling.
This didn’t bother Richard in the least, it was going to be his next big project and he knew when he was finished with renovating and refinishing this old gem it would be worth a hell of a lot more than $100 dollars!
Many of his friends and family advised him to just knock the cabin down and build a fresh one from scratch. It would probably be cheaper this way and he would run into way less problems. Richard listened to their advice and heeded their warnings, but deep down in his gut he knew that if he put his whole heart into this project with his vast knowledge of carpentry and building, he could transform this dump into the most magical cabin right out of a fairy tale!
Remember, Richard was a brilliant mathematician and carpenter, so he was able to come up with a formula and blueprint using math that only he could understand, to make sure this project would be a great success. Richard knew this would take a massive amount of time and energy but nothing would stop this man on a mission to renovate this old cabin into his dream home!

In a spray bottle container mix together 2 parts isopropyl alcohol with 1 part water and then add in 1 tablespoon of liquid dish soap. Shake it up, spray it directly onto an icy windshield, and watch the ice literally melt away right before your very eyes!
This rubbing alcohol spray is the perfect thing to have on hand for freezing cold mornings and icy windshields. You can leave the bottle in your car and it won’t even freeze, unless it gets well under zero. That’s because the freezing point of isopropyl alcohol is -128.2 degrees Fahrenheit, so when you spray it on the ice, it doesn’t freeze up. Instead, it helps to melt the ice and keeps it from re-freezing. Since all you have to do is mist it on, it’s by far the quickest and easiest way to clear a windshield that’s coated with a thick layer of ice.

This Boy Had Disappeared For Two Years

Divorce and custody battles can bring out the absolute worst in people. Sometimes parents have such animosity and hate for one another that they simply lose sight of what actually matters, which is what is best for their children. While we’ve all heard of messy divorces and spiteful ex’s, the story of six year old Richard “Ricky” Chekevdia is one of the more extreme tales to ever arise from a bad breakup..
It all started when Shannon Wilfong and Michael Chekevdia found out they were pregnant back in 2002. They were excited and happy but had been fighting a lot and the relationship was strained. After their son Ricky was born they decided to break up and share custody of him.
At first things seemed to be going well but that didn’t last long and soon Shannon had reneged on their custody agreement which led to Michael taking her to court for visitation rights. She never showed up on the day she was supposed to appear and so the judge gave Michael temporary custody. Yet soon after that both Shannon and Ricky just vanished, and no one seemed to know where they had gone.
It soon became apparent that Shannon had run away with their child and a warrant was issued for her arrest. Things only got worse for Michael when Shannon’s mother, Diane Dobbs, accused him of abusing Ricky and plastered her yard with posters claiming he was a liar and abuser. Her extreme behavior made Michael suspicious and he suspected that she was somehow in touch with her daughter. The cops ended up searching Diane’s house but found nothing and Michael kept looking for his son.
Two years had passed since his son went missing when an anonymous tip led to the police searching Diane’s house yet again. They combed through the rooms carefully when they came upon a wood dresser that was pushed up against the wall. They moved it aside and found themselves looking down at a dark hole that led to a small twelve feet long, five feet wide, and four foot tall room. Down there in the dark room they found Shannon hiding with Ricky, he’d finally been found at last!
It turned out that Diane had hidden her daughter and grandson away for the last 2 years and Michael had been right about his suspicions the whole time. Despite his ordeal, Ricky seemed to be in good health and was placed with family members while state welfare workers investigated the abuse claims against Michael. In the meantime, Ricky was just happy to be outside and free again. The cops who found him said that when they let him out of the car, he ran around like he’d never seen outdoors before, it was a bittersweet sight.
Both Shannon and her mother were arrested, Shannon was charged with felony child abduction, Diane was charged with aiding her. When freed on bail, Diane tried to make it sound like Ricky had enjoyed his time at her house and wasn’t hidden away inside. However, neighbors refuted this and said they never saw the boy outside, plus he showed signs of isolation.
In 2011 the sad saga finally came to an end. Shannon pled guilty and got off light with just 2 years probation and a $1500 fine. Michael finally got full custody of Ricky and looked forward to being the best dad he could be and giving his son the normal life he deserves.

Mom Watches What Dad Does With The Kids When She Is Not Home.

No one wants to give dads a bad rap, but if mom is the primary caretaker, she sometimes is a bit concerned about leaving the kids with him for a prolonged period of time. Well, anyway, the mom who set up a hidden camera to see exactly what goes on in her absence had some concerns.
I don’t want to tell tales out of school, but one time I left my 2-year-old son home with hubby (many years ago) for a few hours, and came home to find dad asleep and the baby outside taking a walk! All is well, son has grown up, but that was a scary moment.
The dad in this video has been left in charge with his 3-year-old daughter and her baby sister. We see the little girl in front of a giant screen TV bopping along to a song with baby in the bouncy chair. Where is dad? Dad Walks In Son’s Room and The Boy Tells Him About His Dream.

Remember when you were a kid and your one and only safe haven that you could pretty much all your own was your bedroom? Even though your parents owned the house or apartment you lived in, ‘your room’ was the closest thing you had that actually belonged to you and was a place where you could go and feel safe. Every few months you would move stuff around, get some new posters, stuffed animals maybe even a new tv once you were old enough. One thing was for sure though, your room was a direct reflection of your soul and personality.
Today’s story features an amazing dad and his son named Jack who was just about to grow out of his crib and get his very own big kid bed! Like many young kids, Jack was obsessed with trains, he loved every type from the vintage old steam trains to the new technologically advanced trains in Japan. He would have his dad read him books about trains and he would look through train magazines and memorize all the different types out there!
One day Jack told him about a dream he had where he was sleeping in a bed, but the bed was in the shape of a box car from a train. As he told his dad about the dream, his papa could see how excited he was getting and he wanted to do something really special for his son. He went downstairs grabbed some tools and a hammer. Put them all together, then headed out to the hardware store to get some plywood, and other materials as Jack’s dad was now determined to make young Jack’s dream a reality.
Jack’s dad worked and worked and finally after many weeks of blood, sweat and tears Jack’s dream train bed was ready to take on its main passenger who would be sleeping in this incredible bed for many years to come! That’s when dad realized it was missing one vital piece that would make the bed complete and absolutely perfectly. He went to the garage, got some stencils and red paint, and created an awesome looking sign that would hang above the bed that read, ‘Jack’s Steam Express’!

It is wonderful to have our homes smell good, and scented candles became very popular over the last decade. That is, until it was discovered that many of these candles and scented sprays contain really dangerous chemicals, that can cause permanent lung damage.
I, myself, have stopped using those candles that I used to love, because of the inherent health hazard they carry. I’m always looking for natural alternatives that are chemical free, to provide a nice fresh smell in my home. When I came upon this DIY video for creating a natural air freshener I was intrigued.
The video below is a great tutorial for how to easily, inexpensively and quickly make your own fresh and chemical-free deodorizer. Two alternative versions are demonstrated, which differ slightly in how they release the fragrance.
For both versions, all you will need are: a MASON JAR WITH A TIN LID, HAMMER, FORK, EMPTY CANDLE CONTAINER, SCREWDRIVER, BAKING SODA AND SOME ESSENTIAL OIL. The DIY is easy to follow, and gives you a great means to slow-release a pleasant scent into any room in your home.

Paul Smith was born in the 1920’s when people with cerebral palsy weren’t given good odds of living. There was no such thing as mainstream education for someone with his severe case of spastic palsy which severely limited his ability to speak, move and fine motor ability.
As a result he was illiterate. He had many gifts, the first being perseverance. After 16 years he learned to speak, and 32 to learn to walk.
At the age of 11 he devised a way to create paintings using only 10 symbols on the keys of an old fashioned typewriter, as he did not have the fine motor ability to hold brushes or pencils.
His artistry developed over the years into truly mind-blowing works of art that he painstakingly worked on as he listened to classical music.
In the 1960’s, after his parents died he moved into a nursing home that became his new family. In addition to his amazing artistry he became a chess master and enjoyed sports.
Defying the odds, Paul Smith lived to the ripe old age of 85; Living a life of purpose as he created works of art that were innovative and will stand the test of time.
He is an outstanding example of the power of the human spirit to overcome adversity and rise to the highest heights of achievement. You will be amazed at what you are about to view in this inspirational video.

This rubbing alcohol spray is the perfect thing to have on hand for freezing cold mornings and icy windshields. You can leave the bottle in your car and it won’t even freeze, unless it gets well under zero. That’s because the freezing point of isopropyl alcohol is -128.2 degrees Fahrenheit, so when you spray it on the ice, it doesn’t freeze up. Instead, it helps to melt the ice and keeps it from re-freezing. Since all you have to do is mist it on, it’s by far the quickest and easiest way to clear a windshield that’s coated with a thick layer of ice.

9-Months Pregnant Woman Does a Photo-Shoot By The Beach.

Pregnancy is one of the most amazing moments in any woman’s life. That amazing glow your skin gives off as it begins to shimmer. Once that initial morning sickness wears off and you are lucky enough to have a smooth pregnancy it can be an absolutely amazing experience. Feeling that first kick in your belly, when your baby in the womb lets you know that they are there!
When you get towards the last month or two of being pregnant it is pretty common to take pregnancy photos, so you have the memories forever before your sweet young child comes into this world. Some women prefer a lavender meadow, while others prefer a scenic vista, while some choose a mountain top, while some prefer a beautiful sandy beach with relaxing ocean waves gently lapping in the background.
This brings us to today’s story featuring Angeline Moser, a beautiful pregnant mother of 9 months and her handsome husband Dan. The couple decided that the best place for this new mama to take her pregnancy pics would be at their favorite beach spot. She put on her most stunning maternity dresses and got herself ready for the first pictures she would ever take with her baby. As with most maternity photoshoots the mother to be will pose with her belly to the side so that the photos can capture the pregnancy in all it’s essence. Her husband Dan is pretty handy with a camera, so they decided not to get a professional photographer.
Angeline got in her best baby poses, turned towards Dan and the camera as she smiled and glowed through all the perfect shots that were coming out. At first everything seemed completely normal, nothing out of ordinary, just a nice warm ocean breeze, the sand at her feet, and her soon to be baby lightly pitter pattering away inside her belly knowing that this would be it’s first photoshoot!
Out of no where, Dan noticed from the corner of his eye, a finned creature which kept leaping out of water in the distance multiple times. He didn’t say anything to his wife at that time, but zoomed in just a bit to see exactly what it was… As the maternity photoshoot continued, the creature kept leaping out of the water as if it wanted to be a part of this families amazing new life with their newborn just around the corner!
What was already a perfect and magical setting, got even more spectacular as Dan snapped these amazing shots, as his beautiful wife and new baby posed. This was almost like something out of the Little Mermaid. It would surely be something this young couple would never ever forget, especially since they now had photos which would forever capture this moment in time for the rest of their lives!

One of his responsibilities is the “Cleaning of the Stones”, while doing so he noticed a quarter placed on one of the headstones and wondered about it.
Later on, he saw a nickel placed on another stone, and realized it had to be intentional. He was so touched that he took pictures, and decided to look into it. What he learned affected him so deeply that he felt the need to share it with others.
The purpose of a coin left on a headstone is a sign of respect; it lets the deceased soldier’s family know that someone took the time to stand before his or her grave, to show gratitude for the fact that they gave their life in service of our country. Each denomination of coins has a certain meaning.

Leaving a penny means you simply visited the grave while a nickel signifies that you trained with the fallen soldier in boot camp. Leaving a quarter has the deepest significance; it means that you were there when the soldier died.

It is wonderful to have our homes smell good, and scented candles became very popular over the last decade. That is, until it was discovered that many of these candles and scented sprays contain really dangerous chemicals, that can cause permanent lung damage.
I, myself, have stopped using those candles that I used to love, because of the inherent health hazard they carry. I’m always looking for natural alternatives that are chemical free, to provide a nice fresh smell in my home. When I came upon this DIY video for creating a natural air freshener I was intrigued.
The video below is a great tutorial for how to easily, inexpensively and quickly make your own fresh and chemical-free deodorizer. Two alternative versions are demonstrated, which differ slightly in how they release the fragrance.
For both versions, all you will need are: a MASON JAR WITH A TIN LID, HAMMER, FORK, EMPTY CANDLE CONTAINER, SCREWDRIVER, BAKING SODA AND SOME ESSENTIAL OIL. The DIY is easy to follow, and gives you a great means to slow-release a pleasant scent into any room in your home.

3) DIY Boot Inserts- Maintain the shape of tall boots by cutting a foam pool noodle into thirds or fourths, then stick a piece in each boot and they’ll stay upright, making them easier to organize and wear later on.
4) Stop Wipers From Freezing to a Car Windshield- Take an old pair of long cotton socks and slide them over each wiper, puling it down as far as it can go or reaches. This will prevent wipers from freezing and/or sticking to the windshield, and makes life all the more easier.
5) Organize Winter Gear- Hats, scarves, gloves, mittens, hand warmers, neck warmers and all other winter accessories can be neatly stored in one accessible place with a shoe organizer. Hang it over a door and never search for lost gloves again.
6) Windshield Treatment- This one is the best! A combination of vinegar and water works wonders at preventing frost and ice from building up on car windshields and windows. Mix the two liquids up in a spray bottle, spritz it on car windows, then wipe off with a soft cloth.
7) Boot Tray- Keep floors safe, clean, and dry by making your own boot tray. This one is much more appealing than commercially available ones and works even better. Fill a large metal cookie sheet with a layer of decorative rocks and put it near the door so that when people enter they can immediately place wet boots on the rocks. The water will drip through the rocks to the bottom and soon evaporate.
