We’ve all felt rushed at times and when you’re in a hurry it’s easy to overlook things or make mistakes. When you’re on a tight schedule and need to get things done you don’t have enough time or attention to fully think everything through.
When 18 year old Sarah Bazzini, a senior at Pascack Hills High School in Montvale, New Jersey, was at lunch one day she was feeling extremely rushed for time. She was trying to get some work done and thinking about college applications while she ate when the bell suddenly rung. Knowing that she only had a few minutes to get to her next class, she tried to scarf down the rest of her meal as she gathered up all her stuff.
Sarah slung her backpack on and as she headed down the hallway, she worked at finishing off some French fries. As she popped one in her mouth it became lodged in her throat, so she tried to wash it down with a drink she had, but it was really stuck. She couldn’t breathe at all, but she kept on walking knowing that she needed help, then her vision began to fade.
Up ahead Officer Roger Caron was patrolling the school hallway. It was the busy lunchtime rush and students were streaming past him. He had been an officer for 34 years before the school hired him as part of an effort to ensure student safety in the wake of all the recent school shootings. Both he and other retired police officers were brought in as an extra security measure and he was always on the lookout for any possible trouble or issues.
As he walked down the hall, he noticed a girl coming towards him. She caught his attention because she was stumbling forwards and when she was closer, he saw that her lips were turning blue. When she held her hands up and grabbed at her neck, he asked her if she was choking. She nodded and that’s when he grabbed her and began to perform the Heimlich maneuver. He held her from behind, made his hands into fists, and squeezed in a thrusting motion. After about five thrusts, the young girl cried out and started to gasp for air. She was breathing again and Officer Caron had saved her life.
Sarah had seen the officer up ahead as she was choking and knew he could help her. She was so grateful that he was right there when she needed him the most and afterwards called him her hero! After the incident she was sent to see the school nurse who cleared her and then she was able to return to her class and finish out the rest of the day.
Word spread quick and while everyone hailed Officer Caron as a hero, he was much more humble about it and said that he was only doing his job. Sarah is forever grateful for him and now she even wants to be a police officer herself!

A fun day at a family party turned into a nightmare for a little girl in Louisiana when she decided to take a turn on an old go-kart that the kids were riding on. The old gas powered machine was slow and seemed safe enough, plus all the kids really loved driving it around the yard at their grandparent’s house. Naturally when little five year old Lani Use saw everyone smiling and having a blast on the go-kart, she wanted to try it out herself.
Before Lani was allowed on it her father had checked it over. He made sure the tires were okay and everything looked to be fine and in good working order. Her mother, Macie, tied Lani’s hair up in a bun before it was her turn and then she finally sat down and was belted in. As she drove around the yard she laughed and smiled with happiness, she clearly loved go-karting.
Even though she was going back and forth slowly enough for someone to walk alongside her, Lani’s hair began to come loose. She was suddenly yanked back violently towards the rear mounted engine; her blonde hair had gotten caught up in the gear belt and it was pulling her backwards. Everyone screamed out in horror and rushed to try and help while her grandfather grabbed a knife and cut her hair to free her from the machines grip.
The damage had already been done, Lani’s right side of her scalp had been torn from her hairline to her neck and her skull was fractured in four places. She was rushed to the closest hospital, falling in and out of consciousness. Doctors there stabilized her before flying her to the Ochsner Medical Center for emergency surgery.
After repairing her scalp her doctors were not sure how she would recover, she’d suffered extensive damage to her nerves so only time would tell. After just two weeks in the hospital, Lani surprised everyone by going home!
She is making a swift recovery and yet still has a long road ahead of her. Her ordeal left her with seizures, vision problems, and weakness on the left side of her face, but her wounds have healed over and her hair is growing back.
Her mother simply wants Lani’s story to be a warning for all the other parents out there about the hidden dangers of go-karts and other similar types of rear engine mounted machines.

She Notices a Wet Dog Carrying a Sack During The Hurricane! Then She Trails Him To His Unexpected Final Destination!

Hurricane Harvey left a path of destruction through Texas so devastating nobody ever could’ve expected it. It was not only a Category 4 storm but it was the first big hurricane to hit Texas in over 40 years! There were 68 people who didn’t make it through the storm and lost their lives. It also left so much wildlife and domestic animals stranded and many of these animals didn’t make it through the storm either. There was an average of around 40 inches of rain and in some locations the rain peaked out at 60 inches! This level of water height and damage had never been seen before in Texas and the damage it left behind 125 – 130 billion dollars of damage which was about the same amount that Hurricane Katrina left in 2005.
Even with all the warnings, the residents of south Texas could never be prepared for the devastation that would occur. It was just unthinkable that a storm could hit southern Texas with this much damage and intensity considering a major Hurricane hadn’t hit the area since 1970. While many evacuated, some people actually stayed in their homes, stocked up on supplies and tried to ride out the storm.
One of these people who stayed in her home was a woman named Tiele Dockens. She waited till the worst of the storm passed, walked outside of her home to figure out how bad the damage to her property and the rest of her neighborhood was. While she was out she noticed something quite strange in the distance. At first with all the commotion from the storm she wasn’t sure if she was imagining or hallucinating this, but she slowly walked towards what she spotted and realized this was no hallucination. There was a wet dog carrying some kind of bag or sack and he looked like a pup on mission determined to get to his final destination.
She slowly trailed behind the dog, keeping enough distance so that she wouldn’t spook the pup. Then she realized the sack he was carrying was a giant back of dog food and kibble. This highly intelligent pup somehow found himself a fresh bag of dog food and was just walking through the streets of Texas casually. She snapped a quick photo of the dog carrying his bag of food through the ravaged neighborhood and it quickly went viral. Racking up thousands of likes and shares in just a few hours.
She found out the dog’s name is Otis and he is not a stray. He has a nice loving home, but somehow got it during the storm, made his way to a lumberyard about a mile away, sniffed out the bag of food and decided to stock up just like his human counterparts were. Otis instantly became an internet star and a local superstar overnight!

He Had a Rare Disease Called ‘Tree Man Syndrome’. The Docs Do Surgery But Come Back In and Say ‘I’m Sorry’.

Abud Bajandar is a 28 year old man who lives with his wife and four year old daughter in Bangladesh. He drew international attention a few years ago because of a rare medical condition that affects his hands and feet. They are covered in gnarled growths that look like tree bark and these skin lesions have wreaked havoc on every part of his life. He cannot do the simple everyday things that people take for granted, like feed himself, and he’s unable to work or provide for his family. He can’t even wear standard clothing because it’s so uncomfortable and he’s unable to hold his little girl.
Abud has what is known as Epidermodysplasia verruciformis, which is more commonly called “tree man” syndrome. It is extremely rare with just 200 ever known cases worldwide. The condition is caused by an immune system defect that leaves people with an abnormally high vulnerability to human papillomaviruses, HPVs, of the skin. Unable to fight off certain types of HPV, the infections take hold and result in scaly, gnarled, uncontrollable warts and growths that look like tree bark.
These are associated with a very high risk of skin cancer and while most people develop the disease when they’re younger, onset has been reported in older, middle aged adults. There is no known cure and surgery is the most often pursued treatment because in many cases the growths become cancerous and need to be removed.
Thankfully for Abul, doctors at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital learned about his condition and offered to treat him for free. They removed more than 11 pounds of growths from his hands and feet, and for the first time in more than a decade he was finally unencumbered by his rare syndrome and could finally hold his little girl. After twenty five surgeries and living in a small room in the hospital for months with his wife and child, he left to go home.
However, things did not go as planned and he was soon back in the hospital when the growths came back.This time they are worse than ever, with warts spreading to other parts of his body. Abul has lost hope and fears he will never be cured. The pain is so great that he cannot sleep at night and he has begged doctors to cut off his hands to rid him from the immense pain and suffering.
The medical team treating him are holding off on such drastic measures. Instead they have developed another plan to try and treat him once again. This time the government has stepped in to cover the costs of all his future treatments and the hopes of being able to hold his little girl again have given him a renewed sense of strength to carry on.

Any working parent knows how hard it can be to leave a young child under the watchful eyes of someone else, but usually hiring a nanny is the best and only option. Finding a trustworthy candidate for the job is essential and you always need to ensure your child really likes them as well.
Which is why when Jonathan Lai, the father of a little 3 year old boy, interviewed Jenna Baker to be the family’s nanny, he knew she would be a great fit. From the start she was hard working, savvy, and best of all, his son loved being around her.
One day Jenna and the boy had gone out to run errands and do some grocery shopping so they could make dinner later. When they arrived back at the family home Jenna had an uneasy feeling. She couldn’t quite put her finger on what was bothering her, but something just didn’t feel right. As soon as she stepped inside the house she froze, there was an unnerving presence in the house. Before she could stop him, Lai’s son ran past her, and that’s when she heard a noise.
The child immediately turned around and walked back towards Jenna. She grabbed him, ran back out the door they came as quickly as she possibly could, and headed straight to the neighbors. What had spooked the pair was a burglar who had been in the middle of robbing the house when they walked in on him!
The whole scary scene was caught on tape by video surveillance cameras Lai had set up in his home. The footage shows a man prowling around from room to room, digging through drawers and looking for something valuable to steal. At one point he riffles through a purse and the whole time he was on a cell phone talking to someone, it’s as if the other person on the line was directing him.
When Jenna and the boy came home, they interrupted the suspect, who was on the stairs and headed straight towards them. To get out the door he needed to get past her, so she scooped the child and ran away. In the end, the man ran off down the street, carrying a distinct backpack with blue and white polka dots.
While his sense of security has been violated, Lai is just grateful that no one got hurt. After viewing the footage he’s also grateful for Jenna’s quick reaction. She quickly got his son out of the dangerous situation and her instincts were spot on

We are privy to so many creative things through our access to the internet…things that we probably would never have the chance to see. Occasionally I see something so unbelievably out of the realm of anything I could ever imagine, that I am left completely in awe.
What is so wonderful about what you are about to view in the video below, is not only the final masterpiece, but the actual process that was taken to arrive there. An artist from the Ukraine, Zenyk Palahniuk, came to his canvas with only a pencil, hammer, thread and nails.
After conceiving what he was to embark upon, he painstakingly spent over 200 hours (the equivalent of 8 days) to complete this incredible piece of art. His entire process from start to finish is captured in this sped up footage, in which Zenyk hammered approximately 13,000 nails connected by 15 miles of thread.
Such genius of conception and the beauty of his finished masterwork is truly mind-boggling. It is proof positive of the uniqueness of artistic intelligence meeting the joy of creation.

She Puts Her Feet In Apple Cider Vinegar For 30 Minutes a Day For a Month. The Reason Is Unexpectedly GENIUS!

These Children Are Laying Down In an Empty Field Frozen. A Cop Sees THIS and Immediately Begins Running!

A couple of years ago on Easter weekend in Capel, a small village outside of London, a group of families gathered to hunt for Easter eggs. About 30 children were taking part in the charity event and happily took to a large field to look for chocolate eggs that had been hidden while their parents watched on from the sidelines.
Suddenly the peaceful scene was interrupted by a loud helicopter that appeared in the sky above them and they could see that it was a National Police helicopter circling overhead. A few moments later, some of the kids spotted a man running along the edge of the field. He was a stranger no one recognized and as they watched him, he took off his shirt and wrapped it over his head. The kids put two and two together and realized the police must be looking for this strange man, but from where the helicopter hovered over the trees, the cops wouldn’t be able to spot him.
Wanting to help, the children jumped up and down, waved their hands, and pointed towards the man but the helicopter didn’t seem to notice or respond to their actions. If they didn’t act fast the man was going to get away and so the kids suddenly began to all drop down to the ground. The quick thinking kids had laid their bodies out to form a human arrow that clearly pointed the way towards the suspect and there was no way the pilots could miss them!
Up above in the helicopter the pilots were somewhat unsure about what they were seeing down below. At first, they assumed the kids were trying to trick them but then decided to check out the unexpected tip anyways. They flew over the woods where the arrow pointed and switched on the thermal imaging cameras, that’s when they saw a person moving erratically through the dense thicket of trees. They had their man and after relaying the information to police on the ground he was soon captured and brought into custody.
As it turned out, the Surrey police had received reports of a break in at an old abandoned factory nearby and had called the helicopter to aid in their search for the suspects. They ended up arresting two men on suspicion of burglary charges.
Once the search was over, the helicopter team landed nearby so they could thank the kids for their help. Everyone was excited and happy that it had turned out so well and some of the children even shared the chocolate eggs they had found with the officers. When the Surrey police shared a picture of the children forming the human arrow, it quickly went viral. The kids still can’t believe how much attention their clever action has received and are just happy to have been able to help.
