So, What is that all about? This scary, loss of control feeling, of trying to avoid falling, is referred to as a ‘hypnic jerk’ or ‘sleep start’. Although many doctors believe this is just an “almost asleep” transition from wakefulness into unconsciousness, there are really interesting reasons to explain this transition.
The video explains the theories that have to do with the brain defending against the paralytic state of our organs,that keep us from running around when we sleep, in the transitional period.
As it is noted that this phenomenon occurs early on, when we are babies, the ‘hypnic jerk’ may be a developmental feature that we go through to learn how to control our limbs.
Our brains may continue to register this as a failing of our organs, as we get older, and continues to compensate by jerking us awake. There is even a theory that incorporates our primate ancestors, the apes, as the origins of this bizarre phenomenon.

They are so teeny tiny, that you usually need to fill a few of them for your fries and other needs; dipping fries in their small opening can be difficult, often resulting in the container falling over.
I’m sure you all know what I’m talking about, but never thought of coming up with a solution for those little containers. Well, the clever Crazy Russian has done it again!

In 1951 He Rescued 2 Girls From a Fire! 65-Years Later THIS Lady Bangs On His Door!

There are some things that happen in life which are seemingly so random and unbelievable that it’s hard to explain or make any sense of them. Oftentimes we attribute them to random acts of god or miracles, and yet perhaps these events were fated or destined to happen all along. For the people and events in this amazing story, they believe it’s a mixture of all those things and more.
It began one fateful day on December 20, 1951, in St. John’s Newfoundland. Twelve year old Edward “Kip” Malone was out walking to the store because his mother had sent him to get some butter when he noticed that a house was on fire. He heard a woman screaming for help and shouting for someone to save her children who were trapped somewhere in the building.
Without hesitation, Malone headed straight for the door and inside the burning house. There was thick smoke everywhere, but he soon found a little girl on the stairs. He tried to get her to go but she resisted because she said that she wouldn’t leave without her sister who was still somewhere inside. Malone and the girl searched frantically for the missing child and when they were in a bedroom, he heard a voice telling him to sweep his hand under the bed. That was when he found the other little girl hiding and now that he had both children, he hurried them outside to safety as the house burned wildly out of control.
When it was over, the five and three year old girls were okay, but their grandmother sadly perished in the fire. Malone later learned that the girls had six other siblings who, along with their parents, all lived in the house. Since the house was a total loss, the family moved away, and he never saw or heard about them again.
Time went on and over the years Malone often thought about the two girls he’d saved that fateful day. He didn’t know what had happened to them, but 65 years later he soon found out. He and his wife had recently bought a new house and had just moved in when a neighbor came over and introduced herself to them. Her name was Margaret Fowler and after they started talking it didn’t take long for them to discover that Malone and the woman had grown up near each other.
When Margaret told him about how she’d lived on Central Street, the same street where he’d rescued the girls all those years ago, he told her about the fire and what he’d done. As the words came out of his mouth, Margaret nearly fainted, then she told him that she was one of the little girls he had saved that day!
A week later, Margaret brought her little sister Barbara Earle to meet up with Malone for a proper introduction. All of them believe that the long overdue reunion can be attributed to divine intervention and the women say that Malone is their guardian angel of sorts. Both ladies have very little recollection of the fire and events that happened that day, as over the years they found it too painful to ask their mother and father about what had happened. Earle didn’t even know Malone had saved her life and feels nothing but gratitude for what he did sixty years ago.

You are about to spend 16 seconds of your life watching the following video below, that will change your sock drawer forever. You don’t have to be an OCD type to just love this DIY. I’m a very neat person on the outsides of my home, but my closets and drawers are more chaotic than I would like.
I have always put my own, my husband’s and kid’s socks together by stretching the top of one sock and looping the other through, to keep pairs together. This always has the tendency to stretch one top of the pair of socks, as well as increasing the probability of one sock coming loose and disappearing.
Additionally, this method has never made it easy to keep the drawer organized in any way, and to find what your looking for quickly. When I found this amazing DIY that’s so easy to follow, I tried reorganizing my sock drawer using their method before writing this article. It’s not only fun to do, but I have to tell you that I felt really satisfied after putting all my socks back into the drawer, when I was done. It was such a thing of beauty, that I pulled out my phone out to snap a pic and send it to my friends, who were all in awe.
Sometimes it’s just getting one chaotic area of your life organized, that can just make your day! It truly is the little things in life that can give you pleasure. Let us know if you will use this method after watching this short footage.

She Puts Her Nails In A Bowl of Water And Green Nail Polish. When She Pulls Her Hand Out It’s STUNNING

Nails have always been painted and decorated to match and compliment outfits and occasions, and now they’re fast becoming one of the most versatile and fun ways to get into different holiday spirits. People have come up with thousands of cool designs and techniques to get crazy, creative looking nails. There are tons of how to videos online that teach how to achieve super complex looking nail art designs. Some are easy and others are best left to professionals at a salon.
This tutorial from the My Simple Little Pleasures YouTube channel is perfect for St. Patrick’s Day. The video shows how to turn nails into festive four leaf clovers with water and nail polish that goes on with a marbling effect. The instructions make it very easy for anyone to recreate and each of the specific products used are listed in the video description. Try it out and get creative! After all, the worst thing that could happen is you may have to remove the polish.
For starters you will need white and green colored nail polishes, base coat, clear and fast drying top coat, a small paper cup, room temperature filtered water, plus a wooden cuticle pusher manicure stick or a similar type of sharp tool.
Start off by prepping your nails and apply a layer of base coat beforehand to help protect them. Gather all the things you need and fill the paper cup with room temperature filtered water. Take the green polish and drip a drop of it into the center of the water cup, then take the white polish and let a droplet of it fall in the middle of the cup.
Keep alternating drops of the nail polishes for six times each into the cup until 12 rings of polish have formed on the surface of the water. Take the cuticle pusher stick and use the pointy side to gently and carefully draw four lines, one from each side to the center of the cup. This draws the polish together and is what will form the four leaf clover so make sure to evenly space the lines so that the leaves will turn out even as well.
Next, take the pointy end of the stick and dip it down into the center to shrink the clover. Work quickly so that the polish doesn’t dry. Now it’s time for the application part. To make this less messy you may want to place tape around the skin near your nails beforehand. Line your middle nail up with the center of the cup as evenly as you possibly can so that the other two surrounding fingernails are also even with the polish lines in the cup.
Gently dip your fingernails down into the water and keep them there while you use the wooden manicure stick to clean up the excess polish around them. When the surface is clear, pull the nails out and allow them to dry. You can remove any extra nail polish that’s on your fingers and clean up nail edges to make them look neat. Be careful not to smudge or smear it but if you do, once it’s completely dry, you can fix up any spots that need it. Lastly, don’t forget to finish the look off with a clear top coat to protect your new paint job and make it last longer.
This four leaf clover nail art design is really easy to DIY and people will definitely notice the cool marbled effect on your nails, they really stand out! Best of all, doing this yourself at home will save you all the money that you would have ended up spending at the nail salon and it’s not cheap. All it takes is a little time and effort and you can have festive, creative, unique looking nails!

Many of us who have no eye problems take our vision for granted. While the blind will never get to see all the beautiful wonders of our incredible planet earth. The blind will never get to see all the amazing shades of the color spectrum, the beauty of nature, the tender face of a loved one, the beautiful wonders and architecture of the world, the silvery light of the moon and the twinkling of the stars.
Can you for a second imagine what your life would be like in complete darkness? Can you picture yourself navigating to work without the help of your vision? Life is already difficult when all your senses are in working order. I can’t even begin to fathom what a blind person experiences everyday of their life.
There are people who are born blind and learn from day one how to function and live in a world of darkness. Then there are others who had their sight and went blind either in childhood or adulthood leaving them in a dark void where they must figure out and re-learn how to function in a world that was once so vivid, colorful, full of life and vibrance.
This brings us to today’s story where we are featuring a blind man named Amit Patel who at the age of 32 went blind after being able to see for his entire life. He got a disease called Keratoconus which cause changes in the shape of the cornea in your eye and if it’s a bad enough case can leave you completely blind. This is what happened to Amit, luckily for him he had an angel of a wife named Seema who was there with him every step of the way giving him much needed care, love and support.
After Amit tragically went blind he got a special seeing-eye-dog named Kika who would be his main source of vision as he navigated around his new dark environment. Before Kika arrived, Amit was so scared to go out on his own and be an independent person. He was completely dependent on his beautiful wife Seema anytime he needed to go from one place to another.
At first his Amit and his new pup Kika were a bit awkward together stumbling around as they would slowly get used to each other. Then after a few weeks of practice and bonding they blossomed into best friends that could work together as one cohesive unit. Amit was ecstatic because now he was no longer timid and trapped alone in a dark corner. He could go out as he pleased just like any other human on earth.
This happiness began to fade a bit because he had noticed something strange and unexpected happening every time he was out with his seeing-eye-dog. He thought people would be kind, helpful and at the very least not mean.
However, he quickly realized the reality of being blind, as people would openly mock him as he walked by. He couldn’t believe it and neither could his wife so they decided to place a Go-Pro Camera on Kika so that others could visualize what a day in the life of a blind person was truly like.
The next day Amit and Kika went out into the world like any other day to do a little shopping and run a few errands. They were out for a few hours and when they returned Seema took the Camera off Kika and began watching the footage that had been captured. Seema was absolutely horrified and disgusted with what she saw on the video…..

This Guy Found an Emerald Over 800 lbs Then Hid Underground Scared Someone Would Take His Life

Have you ever found something randomly that was super expensive? Did you try seeking out and finding the owner or did you just keep it? If you kept it did you try to sell it and were you lucky enough to find a buyer? These are all questions a person must ask themselves when they accidentally discover something of value and there isn’t anybody out there claiming it. Once you do make a decision about your what your are going to do with your big find there is usually a few more steps you will have to take.
Getting it appraised, finding a buyer and making sure you aren’t getting ripped off on your sale by a clever buyer. In today’s story we will be covering an amazing tale of a discovery so big it would forever change the lives of the man who found it and his family. This incredible find took place at the Carnaiba Mine in Bahia, Brazil. A man who has decided to remain anonymous due to threats to his life and safety of his family.
This guy who would preferred to be known only ‘FG’ was working for the The Bahia Mineral Cooperative which is essentially a crew of miners who are given the legal go ahead to mine specified areas of the region. When they went out to this area to mine none of them could ever imagine in their wildest dreams would they would soon accidentally uncover.
‘FG’ was wondering through the area when something caught his eye. He just had a feeling in his gut something special was very nearby. That’s when he found a giant emerald he would later find out would be 800 pounds, over 4 feet in height and worth over a whopping 300 million dollars!
‘FG’ knew that it would physically be impossible for him to excavate the giant emerald on his own and got a crew of 10 men to help him get this extremely expensive jewel out of the ground. He decided he would pay each worker a huge sum of money for the job, but at the end of the day he would be the one and only owner of this 800 pound emerald!
Besides for the near impossible unearthing then excavation and then transfer of the emerald ‘FG’ had another huge obstacle he would face head on. In the local area of Bahia, Brazil if word got out that he was the guy who found the unspeakably large emerald, the safety of him and his family would be in serious jeopardy.
He anticipated this even before the emerald was taken out of the ground and got an obscene amount of security to protect him. He also has gone through great lengths to make sure nobody finds out his true identity so nobody would come looking for him.
He explained that he’s already had a large amount of offers to take the emerald off his hands for 100’s of millions of dollars. The stunning green emerald was over 200 meters deep in the ground and took over 7 days to completely get it out of the ground.
The mega sized gem is made up of over 180,000 carats of emerald. A lot of times when valuable stones like this are discovered they will be broken down into jewelry however since this ones size is so large it most likely will remain in tact and after it is sold could potentially end up in a museum for everyone to admire it’s beauty.
