Husband Builds a Beautiful Tree Stump House For His Wife

image via : facebook.com

It’s always really sad when an old beautiful tree dies on my land and then needs to be cut down. After the tree is cut down and any dangerous areas that could potentially fall on someone are removed a left over stump sits there on the ground. Not only is it a reminder of the loss of the majestic tree but it can be pretty a big eye sore.

A married couple faced this exact scenario with an unsightly stump right smack in the front of their yard, after her husband chopped the old dead tree down. They were faced with a dilemma. To they bring somebody in to remove the left over stump or maybe come up with something imaginative in it’s place

In the footage below, the man’s wife decided to come up with one of the most creative, magical and charming idea for that eye-sore of a stump.  Knowing that her husband is great with his hand woodworking and cutting with a saw she knew her vision could be executed in just a short time.

She explained her idea to her husband who was surprisingly super excited to get started on the project.  In the video below she takes us through each step and all the materials (which she clarifies are all very cheap and affordable), and were bought at the local Lowe’s hardware and the Dollar Store in their town, that went into this magical and whimsical creation.

Together the couple transformed an unsightly stump into a creative, beautiful and inviting ‘Tree Stump House For Gnomes’. It really adds such a nice pleasant piece of wooden art that gives their front yard some amazing character.  All their family and friends want one to and love coming over to check out the magical little Gnome house.  It gives them pleasure each day and has been enjoyed by friends and neighbors alike.

image via : shutterstock.com

There is an art to being a truly honorable, polite, and respectful gentleman. One does not simply become one. It requires patience and virtue, as well as values and a desire to be the best that one can be. Many things make a gentleman. From the way he dresses, walks, and talks, to how he carries himself and his actions.

It’s that last aspect that speaks volumes about a person and no other factor is more important than a man’s behavior when determining how much of a real gentlemen he may be. After all, any guy can look the part but if he can’t back it up with meaningful actions and play it right, then he’s not as much of a gentleman as you’d like to believe.

Without further ado, here are some of the ways in which the modern gentleman of today acts. In addition, the accompanying video covers 50 things that every young gent should be in the know about. Check it out and pass it on to anyone you can think of who could use a little refresher course..

1. A gentleman is always on time. He doesn’t like to inconvenience anyone or keep them waiting and will always call ahead to let you know if he may be running late. In fact, he will likely arrive a good 10 minutes ahead of schedule to ensure he is where he needs to be on time.

2. A gentleman is always polite. Regardless of whatever situation they find themselves in, they’re never rude or obnoxious. Rather, they’re always in control and understanding of others.

3. A gentleman is discreet. He can be trusted with your secrets. All the things he is told in confidence stay safe and you can rest assured knowing that he won’t let a single detail slip out.

4. A gentleman does not gossip. He tells stories and engages in all sorts of interesting and intelligent conversations, but you’ll never find him talking idly or speaking ill of others.

5. A gentleman is clean. He has excellent personal hygiene, smells great, and always looks polished. He takes pride in his appearance and showers daily, which should come as no surprise!

6. A gentleman is well-spoken and never curses. He holds intelligent conversations devoid of swear words because he’s witty enough to get his point across without having to resort to such negative and offensive language.

7. A gentleman has respect. Whether it is for people, situations, elders, or authority, he is always mindful and respectful of them all. He treats everyone equally and the same and does not tolerate it when others are disrespectful, which leads to the next point:

8. A gentleman stands up for what is right and protects others. He is strong, unwavering, and quick to defend the people he loves or anyone else whom he believes has been wronged. After all, at the core of any true gentleman is courage and a deep desire to protect and defend.

9. A gentleman works hard and plays hard. He is social and enjoys going out with friends and having a good time. He also gives 110% towards his job and family but knows how to strike a balance and takes time out to relax and unwind.

He Tells His Dog He Can’t Have a Bite Of His Sandwich. The Dog Proceeds To Throw a Hilarious Tantrum

image via — youtube.com

There are many ways to gain someone’s attention. The different approaches range from courteous and polite to rude and obnoxious. As you can see in this clip, Dinky the Great Dane chose the more direct, loud, and aggressive route. The big boy threw a little temper tantrum in order to ensure his owner’s focus was all on him. That’s because he was begging for a bite of his dad’s yummy looking and delicious smelling lunch, a meat and cheese stuffed sandwich!

The Great Dane is quite the persistent, in your face type of beggar. He can be heard growling and whining loudly, his deep rumble makes him sound like he’s a full grown lion! While many people would give in to their pet’s demands by now, Dinky’s owner makes him wait and work for a bite. He asks for the dog to say “I love you” and when he eventually hears it, Dinky finally gets his treat!

Further along in the clip Dinky’s equally large brother Romeo, who is also a Great Dane, and Peanut, the other little fella who is sitting at his father’s feet, join in the begging alongside him. They are the complete opposite of their noisy, whiny brother and instead of throwing a tantrum they just sit there silently while patiently awaiting their turn.

In the end all the beggars get a taste of dad’s lunch and Dinky finally quiets down. The bite of food must really relax him. Regardless of his antics, he sure is adorable and quite the talker!

Dog Begs His Human For Some Extra Food. He Proceeds To Throw An Adorable Tantrum.

image via – youtube.com

Many of our beloved pet animals have voracious appetites. It seems that no matter how often or how much you feed them, they’ll always want more tasty treats! For those types of endlessly hungry pets, you can’t leave a bowl of food out for them to graze on, it will always be empty! If you want to keep them in shape and as healthy as can be, you have to limit their food and feed them on a schedule.

This seems to be most true when it comes to dogs. They often eat everything in sight and thus do best with set meal times. But just because a dog gets fed around the same time everyday it doesn’t mean they still won’t try to get some extra kibble in their tummies! Which leads us to this adorable video where one German Shepherd works his cuteness to his advantage in order to get more food.

The handsome dog’s name is Apollo and like many fellow German Shepherds, he’s very intelligent and perceptive. He starts off his begging by placing his empty metal food bowl in front of his owner in order to gain the man’s attention. Then he paws at it so that the bowl clanks around noisily on the kitchen floor. When that doesn’t work, Apollo heads over to his owner and nuzzles his hand, directing him to the pantry where his yummy food is kept. After pawing and sniffing at the bin for a bit he’s finally asked by his owner “Are you hungry?” A swift, hungry sounding bark is what he gets in reply!

We soon find out that Apollo has already eaten his breakfast just a few hours ago and it’s only just around noontime at this point in the day. Although it’s not time for him to eat again just yet, his adorable persistence proves impossible to resist. In the end, it appears as if his owner has given in to his charms and is about to scoop some food into his bowl.

Two Adorable Baby Goats Meet The Barn Cat For The First Time

image via – youtube.com

On the Sunflower Farm Creamery in Cumberland, Maine there lives a bunch of animals and a very special cat named Moo. Moo is a barn cat who takes her role on the farm seriously. Throughout the day she keeps a close eye on everything going on around her and she takes frequent walks along the perimeter of the fence, patrolling for mice and runaways. Moo is not only the overseer, she is also a caring and loving protector of her animal friends. She instinctively knows when one is about to go into labor and sits with them in the stall when they are close to giving birth.

Recently a goat on the farm did just that and brought some adorable baby goats into the world. The kid goats are the last two that were expected to be born this season and are now about a week or two old and have since been named Lady Bug and Princess Leia.

The curious and energetic youngsters were immediately drawn to Moo and seem captivated by her whenever she comes by. They bounce all around and run up to her, trying to make friends and get a feel for what her and the feline species is all about. And Moo, being a cat, appears to not be all that interested in the two newbies.

Usually when Moo passes by her goat friends she will lovingly greet them by rubbing her tail under their chins. Once Lady Bug and Princess Leia have grown up a little more, and become more acquainted with Boo, she will likely greet them the same way.

For now they are just too boisterous and new to the farm for her to feel one hundred percent comfortable around them. Even so, she plops right down on her side and lets them check her out without any qualms about it. She’s probably done this many times before and soon they’ll all be close friends..

Tiny Bulldog Puppy Attempts To Wake Up His Mama. But Can’t So He Throws A Temper Tantrum.

image via – facebook.com

Young little baby dogs are oftentimes just as fussy and adorable as their human counterparts. In fact, infant children and puppies share lots of major attributes and behaviors in common. Both absolutely love to eat, sleep, poop, and play, a lot! Usually it’s their mom who they look to for food, a good cleaning, or a snuggle buddy. Just like human mothers, dog mamas have a lot of work to do and it’s exhausting. Sometimes mom needs to rest and relax and when she does, don’t bother her!

One baby English Bulldog didn’t get the memo to let sleeping dogs lie. The little rascal came calling to his mom’s bedside for a play buddy and while he tried his best to wake her up, she was not responding to his cute little growls and aggressive play biting. Even when he jumped up on her smushy, wrinkly, sleepy face she didn’t move an inch!

All that the little Bulldog puppy wanted was to have some fun and be entertained but he was getting nowhere in his attempts to wake his mom from her deep slumber. Thankfully for both of them a nice French Bulldog was nearby waiting in the wings for his own chance to score a play buddy. He took the puppy’s focus off of mom and by the end of the clip everyone was happy and got what they wanted.

If you’re like many people and just can’t get enough of Bulldogs then you have to check this clip out. You’re also not alone because they rank among the most popular dog breeds in the world. In America they come in fourth overall among pet dogs, according to the American Kennel Club’s 2015 dog registration numbers.

With their adorable, wrinkly, cute little faces and mushed noses, it’s hard not to fall in love with them. Not to mention, they have a very friendly and sweet nature that is not aggressive so it’s easy to see why Bulldogs are so beloved all over the world.

Watch This Strange Wolf Mouse Howling At The Moon

image via – facebook.com

Grasshopper wolf mice are not the typical, low key, breadcrumb-eating type of mice you imagine when thinking about the furry little rodents. If anything they are quite the opposite; loud, aggressive, and carnivorous. The video clip from National Geographic shows one of the mice howling at the moon as if it were a wolf. At the 24 second mark the mouse raises up on his rear paws, perfectly set against the moon in the background.

He throws back his head, raises his nose in the air, then lets out an eerie, high pitched noise called a “howl.” The sound is his way of protecting and staking his territory and it also typically occurs once they have killed something. That is the reason why the noise is called a “howl” and why the rodents are also known as howling wolf mice.

The peculiar species of mice calls the southern desert areas of the United States, as well as northern Mexico, home. They are extremely territorial and work hard to protect large tracts of land, averaging 28 acres, from other rival Grasshopper mice.

They can be found stalking their prey with a technique that is best described as cat-like, since they hunt by quietly sneaking up on their victims and quickly pounce when they go in for the kill (source: Wikipedia). These types of hunting skills are necessary for their survival since their diet is mainly carnivorous and they prey upon poisonous snakes, scorpions, and tarantulas whose poisonous stings or bites they are immune to.

To supplement those meals they eat various types of insects, worms, grasshoppers, beetles, and even other mice. Not only are they immune to the otherwise lethal venom of scorpions, they also use the venom of certain types as a painkiller.

Their brains get tricked by the venom and in turn will switch off pain receptors in their bodies, which gives them a huge survival advantage.

All in all, the humble little Grasshopper mouse is not something you’d want to mess with. They are tough as nails and more than well adapted to their environment, which is one of the least hospitable on Earth.
